30/12/2024: Small impromptu stop with the family for a quick snack, very warm, very friendly welcome. We highly recommend. Always a little attention and smiles. Very pleasant moment.
29/12/2024: reduced menu during the holiday period. A menu at €43 with à la carte classics. good service, smiling and friendly. The kitchen is not up to the asking price. For example, a change of 10€ for a starter (salad and hot goat's cheese) as a main course deserved better than warm goat's cheese on industrial sandwich bread. As for the entrecôte, it was not seared, accompanied by a small pot of sauce with a portion of fries (quite good) and three salad leaves, two half cherry tomatoes and a very basic dressing. At 25€ we expect more generous. Efforts must be made to achieve a higher quality more in line with the asking price.

Fantastic staff, went out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. Nothing was too much trouble.
Food, absolutely exceptional - not a crumb left on any plate, very reasonably priced too. We were celebrating my birthday and they allowed us to take cakes and prepared them with candles.
Ambience, such a lovely location, really feels like some old friends have invited you round for dinner. Yes, the glasses are all different and the host might get the order a bit mixed up (quickly rectified) but honestly one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in ages.
Can’t wait to return!

26/09/2024: Served quickly, impeccable cooking and all, but I waited 20 minutes for an additional side dish. Apart from that, it's perfect, and we're dealing with chefs who master meat. So apart from the little hiccup (probably a very trivial communication problem between colleagues) very satisfied.

25/08/2024: We came here for lunch having checked it out on TripAdvisor where it achieved high rankings.
The only downside in my view was that it lacked atmosphere, but I’m sure that was only because it was around 12:30 for lunch, and it seemed to be quiet in Angoulême in mid-August.
In any event, we greatly enjoyed our meal. My wife had a delicious burger, while I had an excellent steak tartare, all washed down with an excellent local white wine.
Very attentive service by our friendly waiter.
24/08/2024: Cave à manger avec une proposition de bière bienvenue ;) et des plats tout aussi adaptés pour la famille entière.
Un accueil et un service chaleureux qui nous a régalé tout autant que la justesse des plats (cuisson, sauce maison) dans un endroit tamisé.
Beau travail et belle continuation à toute l’équipe.

The owners are pleasant and friendly, smiling. I recommend you eat at their place. Good team. Keep it up. Don't change anything. The food is very good.

21/08/2024: Un restaurant très convivial et à l'image du Nord. Des gérants très sympa qui apprécient échanger avec ses clients .
On y mange bien, des produits typiques du Nord, mais pas que ..... à un prix défiant tte concurrence.
Deco très sympa et marquée par toute la culture des chtis.
Le plus, un régal pour les amateurs de bière avec une belle cave à bière comprenant sa propre production de bière.
