10/08/2024: En visite dans la région, nous avons trouvé le lieu parfait pour un plat rapide en famille. La nourriture est très bonne, les patrons accueillants, souriants et attentionnés. La petite salle à l'étage est très agréable. Un excellent kebab à recommander à Cognac.

07/09/2024: Very friendly and smiling welcome in this restaurant where the dishes are delicious: perfectly cooked duck breasts, tasty foie gras with delicious vegetable accompaniments. We do not regret this unplanned lunch stop and we highly recommend it.

We discovered the François 1er cocktail which I strongly recommend trying to all those who like cognac ☺ The setting is pleasant. Point - : Only downside, my rare meat was served to my husband and I had his meat medium rare... Perhaps we should set up a color code (flag toothpick or plate with a red border for rare and a another color for medium, well done or blue) to no longer make this kind of little mistake...

19/09/2024: Quite a strange experience - the room was lovely and the service was good, but unfortunately it was let down by the food. We went mid week and had a fixed price lunch - me a starter and main, my uncle a main and dessert, with the food arriving so that we both had two courses at the same time. My squid starter was good, but my uncle's main of 'flying bird' (it turned out to be chicken) looked pretty tough and over-cooked. We asked about this, because I had ordered the same for my main, and the dish that appeared for me a few minutes later was almost unrecognisable as the same course! So - a good experience overall, but it's a shame when a restaurant with good service can be let down by quality control in the kitchen.

25/09/2024: Great food and friendly service. Beautifully presented plates with all elements cooked to perfection for the main, starters also well crafted. A real treat!

17/09/2024: Lovely characterful restaurant in the heart of Angouleme. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious although some of the portions were quite large!

25/08/2024: Magnificent pizzeria! Large salad on focaccia as an alternative and 5 vegetarian pizzas out of 13 very appreciable. The service is also appreciable, faultless which is very pleasant for a more than reasonable price. Very nice terrace in the shade. Go for it!

24/08/2024: Avoid if you come with babies. My 1 year old baby was screaming to express himself and the boss came to tell me: “However, that’s not going to be possible, your baby is screaming too loudly! » We didn't even have time to order so we left.
