06/10/2025: A very well-run hotel run by a charming, professional, and efficient couple. Madame welcomes and provides service with great patience, humor, and professionalism. She has a kind word for everyone, is always cheerful, and is energetic from morning to night. Both the father and son wear their chefs' hats with elegance and handle their whisks with love. The cuisine is delicious, refined, very well presented, and varied. The room is comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. I spent two weeks there for business. The house and the restaurant are always full. Whether you're staying for a few days or just one night, don't hesitate; it's worth the detour. I'll definitely be back!

06/01/2026: A two-story restaurant with ample seating. The decor is stylish and cozy. There's plenty of space between the tables. The octopus salad appetizer is a bit disappointing, as the octopus flavor is completely overwhelmed by very fragrant aromas of sesame seeds, chili, mushrooms, and other flavors I couldn't identify. The ramen menus are affordable and satisfying. The menu includes adamame as an appetizer, which isn't particularly interesting but keeps customers occupied while the kitchen prepares the main course. The confit pork ramen (Tonkotsu Chashu) is succulent and flavorful, as is the tan tan ramen (Tanmen), which is spicy minced pork ramen. Each ramen also includes naruto (sesame paste), sesame paste, noodles, a soft-boiled egg, bok choy, and a sheet of nori seaweed. The service is pleasant and the atmosphere calm with soft background music. Definitely the best ramen restaurant in Angoulême. I'll be back because there's a tempting menu with plenty of options. (Octopus fritters, mango mille-feuille :P)

02/01/2026: I received a deplorable welcome in a freezing cold room. Initially seated at a table in an icy draft, the waitress denied the cold and refused to move me to a warmer, readily available area. I understand that this establishment has a good reputation and is very popular, but that doesn't give them the right to treat their customers like idiots. What a shame. The customer service definitely needs improvement.

A huge thank you to Estelle for her warm, generous and caring welcome as well as to the team who went out of their way to make this stay a delight. Thanks also to the equally adorable and attentive restaurant team (Samih is a gem). In addition to this general kindness, the hotel has a library where you instantly feel at home. The pleasure of playing a vinyl chosen from the selection available, the possibility of borrowing a book and the impeccable service of a much appreciated coffee and hot chocolate upon our arrival. Until the end the feeling of being pampered. Thank you and looking forward to coming back ❤

The privileged few present in the room enjoy their cocktail and their appetizer platter. Between bursts of laughter and noisy discussions, joy distills to the rhythm of a suave Bossa Nova. The boss, all smiles, welcomes you. But be careful, places are expensive! The brandy of ancient pirates has its fans even in the land of cognac! After careful study of the menu, opt for a Pina Colada or a Criolo. It's delicious. Once the order is taken, the bartender, wandering around behind his counter, then enters the scene. Like a true conductor, he begins to combine the aromas of alcohol, fruit and coconut milk without a false note. The bottles fly confidently into his hands until they fill the shaker. Then, he shakes it for a perfect marriage of fragrances before serving it with a slice of pineapple and a straw. From the first sip, an explosion of flavors delights your taste buds. Soft and light, like a cloud. A true moment of tranquility with a scent of delight. After a few sips, your eyes will certainly land on the top of the bar where it says: To love a country, you have to eat it, drink it and hear it sing. Well, with this cocktail, you will definitely fall in love with the Caribbean!
