25/04/2026: Very disappointed with the Saint-Sernin restaurant. I ordered duck breast, but the quality was poor; it was undercooked and looked like frozen meat. It was served with bagged salad, which, for the price, should have been fresh. The menu stated it was served with new potatoes, but I received fries. Not a problem in itself, but it didn't match the menu. All this for €27—it's a rip-off. As for the service, the young waitress did her job very well, but the rest of the staff—cooks and servers—were all huddled around a phone at the counter, laughing. Really unpleasant. And my partner and I were sick during the night. I do not recommend it.

07/04/2026: A very pleasant restaurant with truly impeccable service. The atmosphere is warm and the welcome attentive, making for a very enjoyable experience. As for the food, the meal was generally good. The leek tart was very successful, flavorful, and well-balanced. However, the pasta carbonara lacked flavor: the seasoning was too light, making it rather bland despite its attractive presentation. The desserts were more disappointing. The apple tart had a dry crust, covered with an excessive amount of caramel cream. The poached apple was good, but its flavor was completely masked by the caramel. A filling between the crust and the apples would have created a more harmonious balance. The rice pudding, meanwhile, had a grainy texture. Thank you for the warm welcome and service.

We don't go to a store to be verbally attacked for a simple question; it's unacceptable, regardless of what this person might say in response to this negative review. 19/04/2026: A dreadful experience. We're regulars, and the service and food are getting worse every month. Last night, I ordered a grilled burger and was given a "mythical" burger. I mentioned it to the waitress, who took my burger back to the kitchen. There, they added a slice of cheddar cheese, but they didn't remove the lettuce or the bacon slice, which wasn't originally in the burger. They tried to make me believe everything was sorted out. There were three fries practically fighting each other on my plate. I was given a dirty spoon for dessert. The waiter shouted in the dining room that he didn't know how to make an Irish coffee, as if he owned the place. The customers behind us told the waitress their steak was cold. She apologized and left, and after a few minutes, she realized her response was inappropriate and finally apologized. Other customers complained about empty plates. In short, I used to be a very regular customer, but now I'm going to avoid this restaurant. If you don't turn things around, you'll end up closing down, and that's a real shame.

21/04/2026: A little corner of Italy right in the heart of Brive. All the flavors of Italian cuisine are on the menu at very reasonable prices. Pizza, lasagna, a wide variety of pasta dishes, veal cutlet alla Romana or Milanese style—there's something for everyone. A very pleasant terrace. A dynamic, friendly, and smiling team. I recommend making a reservation 😉

23/03/2026: A disgrace! Unsanitary hotel rooms. Appalling service. A head chef with a huge ego. You can hear the staff partying all night from their house, and people shouting. When you drive by, you see abandoned rooms filled with trash. I think the labor and health inspectors should pay a visit.

16/03/2026: I was lucky enough to return several times. The first time was for a family holiday in the summer, and the second time was for the Halloween and Lantern Festival events. Each time, we were blown away by the beauty of the place. The decorations for each theme were breathtaking and completely immersed us in their world. What was most remarkable was the friendliness and warm welcome of the hotel and restaurant staff. A huge thank you to the team at La Table de Colette for taking such good care of us. Hats off to the Chef! We savored exquisite dishes with very original flavor combinations. We were also very touched by the servers who remembered the dietary needs of everyone in our group and served us personalized trays of petits fours when we returned to the restaurant for a drink. We were all truly captivated and will definitely be back!
