23/08/2026: Unwelcoming reception. Unwelcoming restaurant. Too small a menu (3-3-3), resulting in very limited choices. Expensive and small portions. Everything is charged extra: main course + side. Nothing superfluous on the plate, not even a single vegetable. The presentation is attractive, the food is good, but nothing more. This is not a place we will return to.

11/07/2026: Benaton lost its star, but chef Keishi Sugimura is determined to win it back with Kirameki, and he has every chance of succeeding. The menu features primarily local ingredients, enhanced by Japanese techniques, which can be admired if you dine at the counter. The highlight of the evening: Arctic char is already a rare treat outside of lake regions, but lightly smoked like this, it's truly unique, perfectly complemented by the freshness of a cucumber gazpacho. The Wagyu ribeye with wine and blackcurrant sauce was also remarkable. And be sure to choose the option with sushi.

06/09/2026: The Manager (Sarah- who we found out lied about her name) was incredibly disrespectful. We had 2 hungry children with us and she wouldn’t seat us. When we asked 2 lady’s if they wanted to switch they were more than happy to - the waitress refused and said no! And the two women kept saying they would move but the waitress kept saying no. DO NOT GO - terrible service. AND the restaurant responded that i’m taking about the wrong place when i’m not to cover up their mistake. Fake and false. Do not recommend.

04/09/2026: I chose the menu du jour and very much enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. Much better than other more expensive meals I have had on this trip!

24/07/2026: Beaune is a Japanese restaurant offering set menus, but you can choose the number of appetizers and main courses. The house wine selection is excellent. The Japanese cuisine has a slight twist but maintains a Japanese artisan style, making it perfect for tourists who are tired of French food and want to try some thoughtfully prepared Japanese cuisine. Highly recommended! 👍

23/04/2026: Just had a really good meal which was very reasonable priced We had the “marmite” (once meat and once sea food) and veg fried noodles. The prims were generous and it was delicious Highly recommend this restaurant

10/08/2026: The restaurant was very quiet and air-conditioned, with a delicious and generous all-you-can-eat mixed grill. The service was very friendly and pleasant. However, the portions for the steak and fries weren't very large, but it was still very good. The restaurant's interior is beautiful, equipped with quiet extractor hoods above the tables, which is really nice with the grill.

09/08/2026: Excellent restaurant! We had frog legs, which were absolutely delicious, as well as a superb hot stone grill. 😋 The ingredients are high quality and the value for money is fantastic. We had a wonderful time, I highly recommend it! 👍

11/06/2026: Great hotel with a pool. 20 mins walk to town centre ro lots of bars and restaurants. Can park motorbikes right outside the room.

10/06/2026: Ideal for travelers passing through. Ample parking, very quiet location. The rooms are pleasantly and cleanly furnished.

23/08/2026: WE GOT DIARRHEA HERE We had the boeuf bourguignon which was mediocre and the steak with fries for lunch. The boef dish was okay but some peaces of the meat were really rough and chewy. So we all couldn‘t finish the dish. But the steak was a BIG problem. Two young guys from my family ordered the steak. One medium rare and one rare. The one who ordered rare got serious diarrhea. The other one got a stomach ache. THIS IS UNECCEPTABLE! Getting sick from a steak is NOT okay!!! And we‘re 100% sure it was the steak because it was the last and only meal we had that day because we has to drive home till late night and nobody else has digestive problems. The service was also pretty bad. The guy is really creepy and we didn‘t feel comfortable. This is a shame!

21/08/2026: A very warm welcome with a smile. The filet mignon was excellent with its jus and mashed potatoes, as was the butcher's cut with fries and sauce. Thank you to the kitchen staff and the very energetic young waitress and her ever-helpful colleague for this wonderful experience. Just a small, lighthearted point: real butter is salted! 😁 Cheers from the Bretons!

30/06/2026: We came as a family and had a fantastic restaurant! We enjoyed an aperitif with a spritz and the draft beer of the day 😍 We started with melon and prosciutto. For our main course, we had a perfectly cooked chicken skewer and a large Caesar salad. The portions were generous. The children's menus are great, with little extras to keep them entertained. The Duplo blocks are a thoughtful touch for the little ones, allowing parents time to enjoy their aperitifs while the children are completely absorbed. For dessert, I recommend the strawberry platter – a guaranteed refreshing treat! We will definitely be back. The staff is so friendly, thank you again! Thank you again to this wonderful team!

20/06/2026: We loved our overnight stay at Abbaye de Maizières. Our room was up a fair few steps on a spiral staircase, and the reception/lobby bar sits in a wonderful, cool cellar-type space. We didn't eat here, simply because there are so many options in town, but the place itself is lovely and special — you really do feel the sense of history. Parking can be a bit tricky, though we found a spot on the street nearby with no trouble. The gentleman who looked after us is a real gem — into his cars, and he made our stay memorable. Thoroughly recommended. Just make sure you're happy with a bit of a climb if you end up with a room at the top, like us! 🤣
