11/07/2026: Benaton lost its star, but chef Keishi Sugimura is determined to win it back with Kirameki, and he has every chance of succeeding. The menu features primarily local ingredients, enhanced by Japanese techniques, which can be admired if you dine at the counter. The highlight of the evening: Arctic char is already a rare treat outside of lake regions, but lightly smoked like this, it's truly unique, perfectly complemented by the freshness of a cucumber gazpacho. The Wagyu ribeye with wine and blackcurrant sauce was also remarkable. And be sure to choose the option with sushi.

07/07/2026: The food was dreadful. How a so called chef can serve a dried up overcooked piece of salmon defeats me. The chef obviously does not care and is taking the micky. I can cook better than this amateur. The place is overrun with flies and they make no effort to sort this out. Service is actually very good and I feel sorry for waiters that have to give customers this slop. I witnessed another customer that left s pizza that was burnt. To improve - sack the cook, certainly not a chef.

07/07/2026: The staff were attentive and very pleasant. We were a group of 15, so a reservation was necessary. The welcome was perfect, the salads were generous and very good, the dessert was okay, and the price was reasonable. I recommend it.

08/06/2026: Yesterday we stopped in Beaune and discovered this magnificent pastry shop, the raspberry chocolate heart was divine and a perfectly sweet pastry.

27/06/2026: This is the smallest scoop of ice cream I've ever paid for at an ice cream parlor. I think they used a teaspoon to scoop it out. I finished it in three bites. When I mentioned how small it was, I I was told that's the size served. Save your money and avoid this place 💰

20/06/2026: We loved our overnight stay at Abbaye de Maizières. Our room was up a fair few steps on a spiral staircase, and the reception/lobby bar sits in a wonderful, cool cellar-type space. We didn't eat here, simply because there are so many options in town, but the place itself is lovely and special — you really do feel the sense of history. Parking can be a bit tricky, though we found a spot on the street nearby with no trouble. The gentleman who looked after us is a real gem — into his cars, and he made our stay memorable. Thoroughly recommended. Just make sure you're happy with a bit of a climb if you end up with a room at the top, like us! 🤣

04/05/2026: Staying at Abbaye de Maizières for 4 nights was a unique and memorable accommodation. The character and charm makes this hotel stand out, and the location is close to everything. We enjoyed the stunning architecture and atmosphere of the historical abbey while enjoying the modern comforts offered by the hotel. The location is excellent, tucked right into the heart of Beaune, making it easy to explore the town on foot. Our room was spacious, comfortable and thoughtfully designed, blending historic charm with the amenities you need for a relaxing stay. The service was warm and welcoming throughout our stay. The team was helpful and accommodating, making everything feel easy from arrival to departure. If you’re looking for a place that adds a unique and memorable dimension to your time in Beaune this hotel is a solid choice.

23/04/2026: Just had a really good meal which was very reasonable priced We had the “marmite” (once meat and once sea food) and veg fried noodles. The prims were generous and it was delicious Highly recommend this restaurant

11/06/2026: Great hotel with a pool. 20 mins walk to town centre ro lots of bars and restaurants. Can park motorbikes right outside the room.

10/06/2026: Ideal for travelers passing through. Ample parking, very quiet location. The rooms are pleasantly and cleanly furnished.

08/06/2026: Avoid if you're in a hurry. Not very welcoming. Dark. The hot stone grill was generous and the meats were good quality, but there was one cold potato per person and a nice salad as a starter. A mixed bag.

24/05/2026: We had booked for 11 people several weeks in advance (we're not from Beaune and were there for a stag/hen party). Upon arrival, we discovered a sign indicating exceptional closure. Not a problem in itself, but we hadn't been informed beforehand.

16/05/2026: Because our hotel is nearby, we've been here quite often in recent years and were prepared for relatively high prices. That's quite common in Beaune. However, today it was so outrageous that we've decided never to return. It took ten minutes just to place our order at the bar, where we were practically ignored. During that time, guests sitting at the bar were, of course, immediately served freshly poured beers upon request. Then the waiter came and brought the drinks to our table: red wine in a dirty glass and beer. After we complained, the wine was poured from the dirty glass into a half-dirty glass covered in limescale from the dishwasher. Then came the bill: €41 for two half-liter beers and two red wines. After an irritated inquiry, the price was reduced to €36 because they had charged us for the more expensive wine without asking! The meager amount of wine served was already €12 expensive, and the €15 charged was simply exorbitant. Never again!

18/05/2026: We were forgotten about drinks and we're still waiting for coffee!!! And yet we reported it....

22/05/2026: Everyone who's criticizing is absolutely right. A 1.5-hour wait for a kebab costing €22 for two kebabs with a can of soda, very dry bread, and undercooked meat, and no more tacos. Do you have no stock? They're right to criticize; your restaurant should close. It's an absolute horror.

26/04/2026: My colleagues and I were passing through Beaune, and we wanted to grab a kebab that evening. It was 12:45 AM at the time. Google said it was open. Unfortunately, when we arrived after a long drive, the restaurant was closed. We were disappointed because we would have liked to try those kebabs; maybe next time.
