30/12/2024: An exceptional place located a stone's throw from the Donjon de Niort and the Marais Poitevin. The night was very pleasant in this quiet and perfectly decorated place. Wake up gently thanks to the scent of meat slowly cooked by Maitre Kemal, the owner of the place, who already cooked under Valéry Giscard d'Estaing. Fortunately the meat is no longer the same as it was at that time. In short, the €9 menu including a night in the Kemal hotel is a must have when visiting Niort.

20/06/2025: My boyfriend and I had a salmon pizza. My boyfriend got food poisoning and had to go to the emergency room! This is very serious and I strongly advise against it!

23/09/2024: Very well located restaurant close to 2 motorways (A10 & A83). Despite a smell that I didn't like in the hall, we were made quite welcome. On the other hand, my husband having ordered his ice tea before knowing what I was having, we saw ourselves reprimanded by a petty waitress who informed us that it would have been preferable to make a group order to save him trips/ returns. I hear and it's legitimate. We apologize and I hesitate to take something. We don't want to make him take unnecessary steps following my husband's blunder, I don't take anything more, so we move on. A beautiful buffet of varied, fresh hors d’oeuvres, which also offers seafood. Great! Arriving on my plate, the shrimp will turn out to be not quite cold enough, but let's move on... Homemade mayonnaise and gribiche sauce. It's engaging. The formula offers an unlimited buffet of hors d’oeuvres + hot main course for €14. That's okay. When I see the size of the steak tartare arriving, I tell myself that I should have had a plate of raw vegetables as a starter. So, I ASK THE WAITRESS if, after the dish, I could have a plate of raw vegetables (since the buffet is all you can eat). She tells me that, as it's the same buffet, there is no problem. So I eat my little tartare, nonetheless good quality, with a very small cup of industrial fries (portion-wise, it's not super generous). And I take a small plate of tomatoes, cucumbers, red cabbage and two small pieces of melon from the hors d'oeuvre buffet. Well this was billed as dessert, on the grounds that I had hors d'oeuvres for dessert. So, know this, if you eat 4 plates of hors d'oeuvres BEFORE the main course, yes, but AFTER, no. So, it is clearly not at will!!!!! And when I told the boss (who had also charged a complete set to my husband who only took a plate of hors d'oeuvres and a main course (for which there was a supplement of 2 €), errors on the bill, I was told that I was dishonest and in bad faith, because my 2nd plate of hors d'oeuvres counted as a choice at the dessert buffet.... Whereas, once again, I ASKED IN FIRST IF IT WAS COMPATIBLE WITH THE QUICK FORMULA BEFORE SERVING MYSELF!!!!! So, go eat there if you feel like it or if you're practical, because the food is decent and the waiters are relatively friendly (apart from the first, the other two waitresses were very friendly). That said, a piece of advice: check your bills carefully and, if you have any questions, ask the boss, because he will not take responsibility for the errors of his servers or his poor communication!!!!

23/09/2024: Foie gras very good, as for the rest. , poor presentation of the dishes, the breast was certainly an old duck, even. Without being in a hurry wait 1 hour between the starter and the main course it's not okay the price doesn't correspond to the service on the plate, I don't recommend this establishment

17/09/2024: Good morning, I am currently giving 1 star because I was refused access to this bar because I had half of a taco which I ate quickly to avoid inconvenience. I understand the bar policy, however I drop a certain amount of money per week in this bar which is really nice, especially tonight, with a slash giraffe. I disagree with this opinion which I understand, so I would not return to this bar again.

02/09/2024: Pretty good dishes even if the local salad is expensive for what's in it and tasteless. On the other hand, more than 3 hours on site to eat. Reservation for 12:15 p.m., dishes served after 1:45 p.m. and more than 1/2 between ordering desserts and their arrival at the table. When we don't have the capacity to serve in a reasonable time, we no longer have to take on people and this problem comes neither from the kitchen staff nor from the waiters, but from the owners who take on more and more customers... who complain when we ask for water while the staff keeps a smile on his face even though we can sense that he is embarrassed by the situation. At the end of the day, small excuses and the kitchens being singled out even though they had nothing to do with it and not a commercial gesture.

15/11/2025: By far the best sushi in Niort! 😋 I've been a regular for years and have never been disappointed. The owners are very friendly. I highly recommend it.

13/08/2024: The dishes are excellent, the prices are very affordable, but it was the worst service of my life! I've never seen that. The evening before, we were turned away at 8 p.m. with a simple "we'll take more", no hello, no goodbye, nothing. The next day, we come back, the waitress doesn't greet us, she seats us at a table without a word, she gives us the cards and leaves. She comes back with a simple “what do you want”. She looks up and doesn't care about these customers. Very disappointed. Without forgetting the pastry of the day, which is actually the same every stay. A tartlet bought in the bakery next door, reheated to make it more “fresh”. Covered with whipped cream, and a very small scoop of ice cream, just to hide the fact that it comes from the store next door, with a big margin, you might as well go and buy it yourself In addition, the establishment has repeatedly deleted my comments, which is unacceptable.
