The presentation of the dishes, the taste, the variety, and the homemade touch: everything is there to charm any visitor looking for a truly delightful meal. A sure bet, and one that will definitely warrant our return visit next time we're in the area.

05/02/2026: I used to go and use drugs from time to time, but this time? It seemed like I encountered a police officer (waiter) who tried to be helpful, but it didn't work with me. Luckily, they're not the only ones, and I made my transfer elsewhere. And yet, I was going to use drugs at the same time after making the transfer. Thanks to them, I have the Western Union or RIA app, so I don't need them or anyone else!

I thought that a customer who makes the effort to come and buy something at this bar was entitled to at least a greeting in response to mine, but apparently that wasn't the case with the woman at the till who completely ignored me, acting as if I didn't exist. Appalling service, avoid at all costs

02/06/2026: A warm welcome, as always, from Mr. and Mrs. Guignard and their team, including the delightful Maxime. After a homemade non-alcoholic aperitif, concocted by the "Maxiologist"—a must-try for its flavors and originality—we sampled the spring menu once again. The dishes are superbly presented, the tastes and flavors blending in a beautiful, inventive, and perfectly balanced harmony. Starters, main courses, and desserts are creative and delicate, yet understated—just like this wonderful Niort restaurant, which we never tire of. We'll be back soon, and thank you. It's always a true pleasure to share a meal with you. The setting is also magnificent, decorated with taste and refinement. The products are sourced from excellent local producers, using short supply chains. We returned for Mother's Day. The special menu was very tempting, and it was excellent and very complete; see the photo below. The flavors are straightforward, without the fuss and frills that detract from so many culinary creations. Despite a full terrace and a few diners inside, the service was, as always, quick, personalized, and efficient. A wonderful time shared with my mother, thanks to the entire team at La Belle Étoile. Thank you very much.

08/12/2025: Passing through on the road one lunchtime. The €32.XX set menu was excellent value for money. The food was refined, with seasonal vegetables and perfect seasoning. There were four of us, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was polite, helpful, and even attentive (refilling the water carafe, adding bread, etc.). +++++ As for the food, it's been a long time since I've been so pleasantly surprised!
