15/09/2024: Voilà, Tout est dit dans la note qui est largement méritée. Tout d'abord, pour un samedi midi, vers 12h, il est surprenant de voir que c'est le désert total. Après cela, nous nous rendons compte qu'il est nécessaire d'avoir un bac scientifique pour comprendre la méthode des menus. Il y a des étoiles partout sur ces menus, mais pas dans les assiettes, c'est sûr. Les entrées sont encore filmées. Les desserts (industriels) sont étalés sur des assiettes en carton (pratique et pas cher car pas de vaisselle). Vous voulez du pain, vous attendrez que le cuisinier vous le donne, après avoir fait la queue une première fois (enfin vu le monde, la queue est rapide). Vous voulez votre plat chaud, deuxième queue (enfin...) et chaud, c'est le vocable utilisé pour dire tiède. Un steak saignant = bien cuit avec des frites insipides. Vous voulez du sel, faut montrer patte blanche auprès du cuisto. Vous voulez de la moutarde, par de dosette en libre service, il faut passer par le même péage. Vous souhaitez manger de la langue de bœuf. Normalement, elle est présentée en tranche. Eh bien là, non. Elle est présentée à la méthode cantine, en émincé, comme si on voulait cacher ce qu'il y a dedans. Les haricots sont insipides également, avec goût de flotte. Bref, quand on regarde le visage des rares personnes autour de nous, on comprends que cet établissement aurait besoin d'être revu complètement. Je ne recommande pas du tout.

11/09/2024: Coming for lunch in August, we asked for an indoor table because my mother has eye problems. The waiter (in Bermuda shorts behind his apron.....it's a bit average for a so-called gastronomic establishment) will strongly insist that we have lunch on the terrace despite our explanations. We stay in the room and understand, since we are the only ones in the room, that it does not suit him (cleaning?). I had memories of the rococo restaurant...Ok the decor has been redone but in my opinion it's a hideaway, no soul with a view from our table of abandoned flower boxes. 22 euros for the lunch menu (starter - main course) for supposedly revisited deviled eggs (a hard-boiled egg cut into 4 on a salad...I would have preferred a real deviled egg in fact) then saithe (cheap fish ) ...... flavor wise no surprises, no Wow. Let's not talk about appetizers at aperitifs and coffee treats. I am a regular at another restaurant in Niort (closed at the time of my reservation) which for 24 euros offers starter, main course, dessert (delicious appetizers with the aperitif and good treats with coffee) in which I find products much more elaborate and so exquisite to taste! All the same, an extremely positive note for the sommelier who was particularly attentive, very professional and gave good advice. I hope that the manager of the establishment will take into account the Google reviews in order to "straighten the situation" and keep this legendary restaurant in Niort afloat.

10/09/2024: Family meal on a Sunday for my eldest's 10th birthday and communion. Staff attentive to our requests, whether for the decoration of the private room or for the development of the menu, including a very good cake for dessert! Aperitif in the large courtyard / park at the very pleasant entrance. Then meal in the private room in photo, we were 17 guests. Thanks to the whole team.

04/07/2025: Nice location and delicious ice cream. When our son accidentally dropped his scoop of ice cream, he got a new one for free. Very friendly!

10/11/2024: Un service accueillant et rapide mais si les pizzas blanches étaient bonnes , la grande salade pepito était tellement décevante . Des ingrédients sans aucune saveur , des billes de mozza bon marché à peine égouttées, des olives qui peuvent éventuellement servir pour la déco des pizzas mais totalement insipides, des pâtes goût curry vraiment pas bonnes , bref une salade pour laquelle la marge doit être excellente mais on ne m’y reprendra pas , dommage ….

10/11/2024: Un grand bravo à toute l’équipe. Cuisine de qualité, serveurs(euses) au top. Nous étions super bien placés. Il y avait du monde mais pas bruyant du tout. On ne nous a pas pressé pendant le repas et ça nous avons beaucoup apprécié. C’est toujours un plaisir de revenir y manger

26/09/2024: Passing through during our journey on the Vélo Francette, we stopped at this restaurant on the square. Perhaps due to the end of the season, but the reception was not great. The waitress did not appreciate that we asked her to move a small barrel which was blocking the open door leading to the square (it was 17°C outside...). Throughout the meal, we felt like we were disturbing. My wife had a decorative sauce with her breast that she found good. She asked if she could have some more. After an initial refusal, the waitress told us she would ask the chef. She came back with sauce (a tablespoon) which we will be charged €1 for. It's not the price that's shocking, it's the fact that you charge it! Fortunately the food was good, otherwise my rating would be much lower. Jean-Pierre
