20/01/2026: I've rarely eaten so well in a restaurant. High-quality ingredients. A true culinary delight! A warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the waiter was fantastic!
21/11/2025: The food was good, but the service... Oh my god, the service! 😂 We arrived at 8:15 PM and were scolded for being 15 minutes late for our reserved table. They had our phone number, but the response was, "Do you realize if we have to call every time?" The kitchen closes at 8:30 PM.
They made it clear that serving us was a special favor. Luckily, the chef took charge and was very friendly.

12/10/2025: A beautiful terrace at Beurre de l'Eau in the heart of Brantome. A beautiful sunny day, delicious and tasty dishes, and a delicious dessert. The staff were super welcoming and friendly.
One small drawback: the two scoops of ice cream cost €8 and the homemade French toast cost €9.

18/12/2025: A quiet, tastefully decorated restaurant with a cozy atmosphere, serving meals made with quality regional products. You can also enjoy tea and coffee roasted on-site. This was my second visit with my family, and we will gladly return. The setting is as welcoming as the young couple who greeted us. Well done to them!

18/09/2025: I must have had a bad day. On the terrace after 5 minutes I go to the bar to order. The owner (?), lemon (squeezed and acid) throws me two coffees on the counter. I have to ask for a tray to serve ME on the terrace. NEVER AGAIN.!!!☹️🤮 If, as a retiree, I have time, as a professional (retraining exists, I recommend it to the owner) I have much less. The time saved by not waiting in vain for a coffee allows me to write positive reviews. Perhaps the owner was reading those posted on her establishment?

Had to leave after 1 hour and did not stay at this property. Nothing positive, do not book!
Our room was in a separate building opposite the hotel in a public car park. The room was infested with bugs. We removed a number of these bugs and more and more kept coming.
We reported this to hotel staff who turned up with a brush to remove some. But more kept coming. We asked to move rooms to the main hotel, but the staff offered a room in the same infested building. If we wanted to stay in the hotel, we would have to pay nearly €200 more.
The staff were very rude, stormed off back to the hotel when we said we didn't want to pay extra for moving out of their dirty, unhealthy and unsafe infested room.
Although we had only been there 1-2 hours, the staff refused to cancel our booking without fees. I have been charged full price for a room I didn't stay in and was unsafe.
Do not stay here!!!!

Et quel dommage cet accueil .. une succession de remarques sur un ton pas très cool . C est dommage avec un plus de sympathie nous serions revenus .
03/09/2024: Bonjour étant en vacances à Brantome nous nous sommes arrêtés dans ce restaurant pour le repas du soir, nous avons été accueillis agréablement bien le service au petit soin les plats sont délicieux et copieux. Si vous passez par Brantome je vous recommande ce restaurant sans hésiter vous ne serez pas déçu.

21/09/2024: Service très lent. Réflexion entendue à la table voisine : "je me demande s'il s'agit d'une entrée plutôt qu'un plat"...
Et en effet : on reçoit un saucisse de canard qui fait maximum 10 cm, qui plus est : elle est calcinée ! Quelle honte pour le Périgord qui est pourtant réputé pour sa bonne chaire...
Au moment de payer, je m'attends ce que la patronne demande si tout s'est bien passé, sur quoi j'aurais mis un bémol. Que nenni, elle connaît trop bien son établissement !

Even I who don't eat a lot, the quantities are scary
The burnt and tiny duck sausage and the overcooked fries.
The chestnut cake is just as tiny
They forgot to specify that they only serve children's menus.

31/08/2024: Goed gegeten in de tuin. Leuke gemoedelijke locatie. Eten werd wel heel snel
Opgediend. Na 1 uur stonden we alweer buiten. Sfeer is wel heel ontspannen.
24/08/2024: Le restaurant est à vendre et je pense que c'est la meilleure chose qu'ils leurs restent à faire c'est pas un métier pour eux vu l'accueil et le reste
