21/11/2025: The food was good, but the service... Oh my god, the service! 😂 We arrived at 8:15 PM and were scolded for being 15 minutes late for our reserved table. They had our phone number, but the response was, "Do you realize if we have to call every time?" The kitchen closes at 8:30 PM. They made it clear that serving us was a special favor. Luckily, the chef took charge and was very friendly.

12/10/2025: A beautiful terrace at Beurre de l'Eau in the heart of Brantome. A beautiful sunny day, delicious and tasty dishes, and a delicious dessert. The staff were super welcoming and friendly. One small drawback: the two scoops of ice cream cost €8 and the homemade French toast cost €9.

20/06/2025: Notice of name change! Co thé café "doesn't serve breakfast." At worst, we just wanted tea and coffee, but we were turned away! For those who won't read the whole summary: if you want to spend wisely, move on. Bakeries also make good coffee. For lunch, head to La Tarterie for beautiful slices of quiche; you can buy them in the morning 😉 A beautiful park nearby offers a great setting for breakfast and lunch. Madam, to err is human; sometimes we do wrong, and normally we don't get bogged down. So I'm going to respond to your dishonest and untruthful remarks. For the record, you were turning your back when we arrived; we mistook you for a customer! We didn't have time to sit down; you blurted out, "I don't do breakfast," without even a hello. The tone was set, it lasted a split second, we didn't bother to ask, and we were even a little shocked. In the end, we read that you also serve breakfast! And no, we didn't have pastries in the bags, but to find out, we should have communicated and not whined. So, after that, you have to accept the comment. Without a false response, I would have even deleted it. Obviously, some people still met the same person as us, but we understood that the lady is perfect and the others are just rude. 0 stars 🤣 For those who received a good, even warm, welcome, it's astonishing! So it smells like CBD or pills before the rush hour because she's nicer than at lunchtime, it seems! The margins are better, and that's the only thing that motivates this kind of person. It's not human contact, nor the good atmosphere of a real village café in the morning! Besides, there was no one there... we should have suspected that it was the wrong choice.
