29/12/2025: I came to try this restaurant in late 2023 or early 2024. I thought I had left a review (a positive one), but apparently it's nowhere to be found. Did Google delete it? (Indeed, Google loves to delete people's reviews without a valid reason.)
This restaurant is the only one on Rue Bersot that I've wanted to return to. Even outside, the aroma of roast chicken fills the air, and inside, you feel comfortable and relaxed, even if, like me, you come alone. The owner loves to chat and make his customers feel at ease. Admittedly, the prices have gone up a bit, like everywhere else, but they're still very reasonable. For €14, you leave feeling completely satisfied thanks to the tender and flavorful half-chicken, drizzled with its natural cooking juices.

We loved our choices; everything was delicious, from the lassis to the main dishes (chicken masala and butter chicken), including the cheese naan and the teas—a real treat!
The service was perfect, the waiter was very pleasant, and the decor was lovely. An excellent place to eat!
24/12/2025: The waitress and the owner were friendly. We were well informed about the different dishes, which ranged from mild to spicy according to our tastes.

09/01/2026: AMAZING RESTAURANT! The staff are lovely, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the prices are reasonable! I'm lactose intolerant, and they made me a soy cream—they were incredibly kind and attentive! I highly recommend it!

11/12/2025: We went to Callahan. We ordered two burgers and fries, and what a disappointment! The steaks were flat and overcooked, despite our request for rare and medium-rare. The buns were dry, and there was very little sauce. As for the fries, we expected homemade fries, given that it's a brasserie, but no, they were dry and tasteless.
Unfortunately, we won't be going back. We had been there before and were satisfied. I don't know if the chef has changed since then, but it was a huge disappointment, especially considering the price, which I think is excessive given the quality.

07/01/2026: September 22, 2025 - I stumbled upon this restaurant online while passing through Besançon, a city completely shut down on Sundays and Mondays. I was blinded by the reviews from trendy, eco-conscious customers who claimed it was an excellent restaurant, praising both the friendly service and the delicious food, etc., etc.
The waitress asked us to confirm that we would vacate our table before 9 pm, as we had a reservation for 7 pm. At that moment, we truly thought we had found the Holy Grail. In fact, we had found it the previous evening at Pitaya Thai Street Food, located about a 7-minute walk away on Rue des Granges. Believe it or not, they both serve the same Asian-inspired dishes, such as spicy Indian curries, teriyaki fish, and Thai cuisine. The difference is that the rich, organic-loving hipsters go to Petit Atelier to spend more, while the rest of the working class goes to Pitaya Thai Street Food to save money on the same dishes, and Pitaya doesn't kick you out for a while.
