16/05/2026: Everything was filthy from floor to ceiling. Cobwebs, tables with threadbare, worn-out plastic "tablecloths," and baked-on carpets. The food was bland, with too many canned goods, and the back kitchen was in... the backyard, which was unsanitary. The POS terminal was greasy and dirty. In short, everything was filthy.

16/05/2026: Still as good as ever, it hasn't changed since the 80s, which is a good sign when the quality is there 😊 Generous and flavorful portions, authentic Vietnamese home cooking. The dining room isn't very big, so be sure to book ahead, especially in the evening and highly recommended for lunch. The spring rolls are delicious, as are the shrimp fritters, the caramelized pork, etc. I highly recommend it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

17/05/2026: A fantastic experience at the restaurant! The welcome was very pleasant, both on the phone and in person. The servers are friendly and attentive to the customers; they're young but great! 😀 The quality is affordable, and we often return with friends and family. I highly recommend it. Young Kassia is a smiling and attentive waitress who makes for a pleasant evening. The staff deserves praise from both us and the management.

16/05/2026: Good food with fresh produce, top-notch staff, and our waitress (Eva) was incredibly attentive. The only slight drawback is that perhaps sunshades could be installed on the upstairs windows, which get extremely hot when the sun is shining directly in your face. Also, perhaps some stretched canvas could be used to dampen the noise from downstairs that rises to the dining area and prevents us from hearing each other when we're on the mezzanine.

24/07/2026: A truly beautiful setting that stands out, a blend of lovely vintage pieces for tea service 🙏 for the decor, clearly. It's a mix of Alice in Wonderland and a natural paradise right in the heart of Besançon 🧚 For my meal, I chose a salad with a scoop of salted ice cream. Frankly, not many places offer such originality; I thoroughly enjoyed it. And for a sweet touch, I had a violet cake for dessert, which was also very good 🧞‍♂️ Having traveled extensively, I've never seen a tea room/restaurant with this concept. Again, bravo! P.S. After reading other negative reviews of this restaurant, I honestly advise you to form your own opinion because, in my eyes, it easily deserves 5 stars. Thank you for the originality when everyone else offers more classic and much more expensive options.

18/07/2026: Discovered by chance during a short stop in Besançon on our way to our holiday destination, what a delightful surprise this extraordinary place was! With its porcelain tea sets, it felt like England; the amount of tea was very generous, the presentation superb, everything was delicious and fresh, and our children (and we ourselves) were completely won over. Every city needs a tea room like this! Well done, Églantine!

10/06/2026: We booked for 9 people on a Saturday evening. We dined inside. The welcome was warm and the setting was pleasant and clean. The staff were very attentive and, from the moment we ordered, took our requests (preferences and allergies) into account to ensure there would be no problems. The food was high quality, beautifully presented, and delicious. Even the bread was excellent. The set menus are worth trying! For our first time at this restaurant, it was a complete success. The only slight drawback was the somewhat slow service between courses, but we weren't in a hurry. An address to keep and recommend without hesitation!

21/06/2026: A very charming restaurant; we ate on the terrace in the evening, and the location was lovely. The food was absolutely delicious, and thankfully it was worth the wait because we waited almost 45 minutes before finally receiving our order, which was a bit excessive considering it wasn't even that busy. Also, during this heatwave, I was surprised not to have any ice when I ordered my soft drink, but oh well. And to add insult to injury, having a carafe of water readily available as soon as customers arrive would be a nice touch.

13/06/2026: Incredible but true, a restaurant in the center of Besançon that serves pasta better than many restaurants in Italy. And then listening to songs by Tozzi, Celentano, and other Italians from their golden age, and hearing the pizzas before you see them because the aroma is delicious. We're leaving tomorrow, but if we were to come back, my goodness, even with one foot, we'd go back. Keep it up, guys, because Italian cuisine needs to be known at its best. Thank you all so much, truly.

06/05/2026: Never disappointed by the quality and cooking of the pizzas. A particular favorite is the Morbier and Mont d'Or. A fantastic team and always quick service. Don't change a thing!

15/07/2026: What a lovely experience at this cat café in Besançon. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The food was delicious too, a nice treat while relaxing with the cats. The cats each had their own personality: some were cuddly and happy to be petted, while others were a bit more playful. 26/06/2026: Great bar with very friendly staff, the atmosphere is cool and the drinks are just as good, it's just a shame about the limited seating on the terrace, but that's a common problem on the quayside. I recommend it 😉

25/07/2026: Tonight I discovered a southern French atmosphere... A small terrace, pétanque players, trees in this pleasant, recently redesigned little square. The owners are very friendly and full of humor. Regulars enjoy devouring the only dish on the menu of this pizza bar while sipping a glass of wine. Newcomers... like me... who came for sauerkraut 🤣🤣, quickly realized they'd be back often to enjoy the excellent pizzas, thin-crust or otherwise, depending on their appetite. No starters, and the only dessert isn't on the menu but was offered by the ever-humorous chef. A small but well-known selection of beers, and... the entertainment is also in the street (not always good acts), but that's part of neighborhood life. Worth discovering for a pleasant time.

19/07/2026: Great waiter, good food. It's a shame that when the bill arrived, the discount wasn't applied to 6 people (the limit of the offer) but only to one out of the 9.
