17/05/2026: A truly wonderful discovery in Besançon! The welcome was simply exceptional: warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which immediately put you at ease. As for the food, it was a real treat. I opted for a flavorful and perfectly executed Arbois-style gratin, accompanied by a Bethanie wine that paired wonderfully. For dessert, the lemon cream meringue was light, balanced, and bursting with freshness. And to finish, an original and fragrant fir liqueur, perfect for concluding the meal. You can feel a real authenticity in both the food and the service. A place I highly recommend!

30/05/2026: Frankly disappointed, mussels and fries, I've never seen such a small cone of fries, the wine glasses were full of limescale stains, the mashed potatoes were the same, the equivalent of a tablespoon, yet it's not what costs so much, the fries and potatoes.

19/05/2026: A last-minute booking for my husband's birthday... and in the end, a 100% successful romantic dinner for two! 😄 A very warm welcome, delicious food, and a team that went above and beyond. And they even saved my "organized wife" status with the candle on the dessert! 🎂😂 Thank you to the whole team for this wonderful experience!

17/05/2026: Remarkable consistency over the years. We've been regulars at this restaurant for several years now, and the experience is always impeccable. Maintaining such a high level of consistency without ever becoming routine is a real feat. The semi-gastronomic cuisine reinterprets the great classics of French gastronomy with incredible creativity and modern flair. The dishes are as visually stunning as they are surprising on the palate, with bold yet perfectly balanced flavor combinations. In the dining room, the service mirrors the meal: attentive, seamless, and discreet. The staff anticipates every need without ever being intrusive, creating an intimate and special atmosphere. A precious, reliable, and highly recommended establishment. Thank you for this wonderful experience; we will be back (again and again)!

07/06/2026: Excellent value for money, the food is delicious. The setting is lovely, although it could use a bit more decoration. The service is very good, with the only slight downside being the head waiter who seemed a bit annoyed, with a stern face and wasn't very welcoming. The other two waiters were very good. Recommended for a pleasant meal with other calm waiters and good food.

01/05/2026: So, I don't know if my opinion is objective, given that it was our wedding and that for most people, this day is a perfect day. It was! And Kaf contributed to that. A huge thank you to Chantal and her entire service team who truly took excellent care of us and our guests. Our first meeting at her workshop in Besançon was very pleasant, in a great atmosphere, and we were able to choose our items in superb conditions. On the big day, the presentation of the cocktail hour was very well done. The scallop and ham carving station was a real hit, and the unfussy meal was incredibly successful; everyone loved it. Details that make all the difference: - The servers were friendly and reserved and brought plates and glasses for us during the cocktail hour, so we didn't forget to eat something! - The table service was quick and efficient, despite the 140 guests. The leftovers were left, contrary to some other opinions I've heard. Honestly, I have no complaints about the service, thank you all so much. Marie & Lucas

28/04/2026: We chose Kaf' des Vieux Amants as our caterer for our wedding. Everything was excellent, from the appetizers and the cocktail hour to the wedding cake. The recipes were sophisticated and full of flavor, and were a hit with all our guests. We also want to thank the team who provided service at the Bolandoz summer camp (April 25th) for their professionalism, kindness, and joie de vivre. You contributed to the success of our wonderful day, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. For anyone still hesitating, go for it without hesitation! 👌

22/05/2026: Staying at a hotel, I stumbled upon this restaurant. What a pleasant surprise! The waiter greeted us with a smile and a cheerful demeanor. The food was refined, and the wine selection by the glass was diverse, including, of course, a local Savagnin. The dishes are homemade and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the modern twist on spring rolls. I highly recommend this restaurant.

29/04/2026: A wonderful discovery. I was passing through the area for the first time and I hope to return to eat at Chez Achour again. The place is beautiful, family-run, welcoming, and very clean. My cousin and I received a very warm welcome from the founders' grandson. We had a delicious couscous; the semolina was excellent, the meat was high quality, and the homemade harissa was to die for. Everything was perfect. Thank you again for this wonderful experience.

07/06/2026: This is exactly how I imagine a French dinner: friendly and warm service, a cozy atmosphere, and of course, delicious French cuisine. It was definitely worth the wait until the restaurant had two tables for us. The menu consisted of salad, terrine, and warm baguette as a starter, followed by a choice of main course, and a small crème brûlée for dessert. Every course was fabulously delicious, and the house wine complemented them perfectly. The price was another pleasant surprise. 100% recommended.

30/05/2026: The food at Les 4 Saisons absolutely deserves its many positive reviews. Both visually and in terms of taste, the dishes are outstanding. The ingredients appear high-quality, the presentation is very appealing, and the cuisine is consistently excellent. The pricing is also particularly noteworthy, being exceptionally fair and customer-friendly considering the quality offered. Unfortunately, the ambiance doesn't live up to the quality of the food. The restaurant is rather uninviting, the decor isn't particularly cozy, and there was a slightly musty smell. The service could also be more attentive, as we didn't always feel optimally looked after during our visit. Those who primarily value excellent food at fair prices will certainly be very satisfied here. However, for a truly enjoyable dining experience, there is still room for improvement in both the ambiance and the service.

29/05/2026: Very disappointed with the experience, fish rillettes and salmon Glavelax-style were far too salty, asparagus was hot and not lukewarm, the floating island cream was tasteless, the rhubarb marmalade was disappointing, the small vegetables in the dish were overcooked... The prices are reasonable but the quality is not there.

16/04/2026: We had an excellent birthday evening at this ideally located restaurant at the foot of the Citadel, in a former military riding school. The cuisine is refined, fresh, and perfectly seasonal. A cut above your average bistro, with impeccable service and beautifully presented dishes. Well done to the whole team! We highly recommend this restaurant.
