11/09/2024: Passing through the region and attracted by the tempting showcase of the website: magnificent photos of beautiful dishes, local produce, a combination of Drôme and Asian flavors.... Everything seemed to make this place a must. A very delicate appetizer of pumpkin cream and fried onions with a flower petal whets our appetite. It's simple, tasty. We waited an hour and a half before getting the starter, and what followed was a big disappointment: soft trout "makis" starter, sesame cream, rose petals, sage leaf... . A profusion of flavors which really prevents you from grasping the taste of each food, which is of good quality. The fish dish, again accompanied by its rose petal and sage leaf, useless... The sage is not infused and cannot be eaten as is. The flan drowned in a thick sauce. We don't feel anything, except that the cooking of the fish is delicate and that it would have deserved to be more simply highlighted. Dessert: blackberry ice cream on a bed of almond cream with orange blossom (?), sweet “fritelles”, and little piles of egg cream? Two and a half hours. A duration worthy of a gourmet restaurant, a lot of waiting, for dishes that are too complicated, whose multiplicity of flavors does not allow you to move from one taste to another, but at the same time. We don't appreciate local products, drowned in frills. And it is probably this complexity of the plate which generates the very long wait, where a simpler presentation would allow the chef, alone in the kitchen, to send out the dishes more quickly and to really honor the quality products that he manipulates. Waiting in the restaurant's cellar, the experience was very far from our expectations, and from the final bill, which seems very steep considering the memory we will keep of it.

30/08/2024: Man sitzt am Rande des Marktplatzes von Nyons unter den Arkaden in sehr schlicht-schöner Atmosphäre. Der Service und die Weinberatung sind kompetent und freundlich. Die asiatisch-französischen Gerichte schmecken sehr gut. Die Desserts mit großer Finesse sind ein Hochgenuss. Der Besuch im Le Verre à Soie ist ein Highlight des Urlaubs in der Provence.

28/08/2024: The food is really very good, nothing to say about the quality/price ratio. And a great pleasure for the children's menu where finally fried nuggets are not offered but the choice between gratin ravioli and chicken curry and rice! On the other hand, a small downside for the dessert on the same menu which was a scoop of ice cream + whipped cream, we had asked for 1 extra scoop, with extra if necessary, and on the bill: the scoop, €2.50 and the whipped cream €0.50... (A little commercial gesture would have allowed a 5th star...😉) And a slightly more cheerful manager would have been nicer too...

01/09/2024: A very good surprise! I, who am generally a little disappointed by restaurants, this one was a superb surprise. The crepes (hot, savory or sweet) are really very good, generous without being disgusting, and even my husband who was upset with savory crepes loved it! The bonus is that it's really inexpensive, and even when there are people, we don't have the impression of being crowded, at least on the terrace where we were. If there was anything to quibble about, there was a bit of a wait, but it was well worth it. This is justified by the fact that there are only two of them! She serves us and the husband is in the kitchen. Thank you and we will definitely come back :)

Thank you especially for the intention for my son's dishes which were not on the menu. The fries WOW!! We who are from the North, specialist in fries, I can say that they are exquisite! Come and open a fry shack in the north really. If you pass by; don't hesitate to stop, you won't be there!

28/07/2024: Very pleasant overnight stay in a beautiful non-franchised establishment which respects the codes of the French hotel industry. Very reasonable price, generous breakfast included in the room price even in July 😜. Free parking right outside.

07/06/2024: Excellent hotel very well located in the heart of Nyons. The rooms are spacious and spotless. We have been there 4 times already and plan to return soon.

24/06/2024: How wonderful it is to enjoy a good glass of wine and delicacies here. Great tables and chairs, not that sticky plastic stuff, with a nice view of the famous square. Super friendly and helpful owner, also reasonable in English if desired, who clearly enjoys that you are there and enjoying yourself. Delicious local products with an explanation of everything, including soup. In short, highly recommended.
