07/12/2025: I'm not judging the food, which we didn't get a chance to try, but the waiter (a rather tall gentleman) behaved in a condescending, impolite, and borderline indecent manner, even following us into the street and threatening us. He simply refused to seat us, claiming there was no room (we think we know the reason for his refusal, but I won't elaborate here). When we finally managed to make a reservation online, proving to him that there was indeed space, he didn't appreciate being challenged and became angry. In short, we left, and some customers in the street who witnessed the scene. They wanted to go in, but they turned back when they saw this man's attitude. We were very fortunate to find another restaurant nearby that was much warmer, more welcoming, and better!

29/08/2024: L’endroit fait de ce restaurant un piège à touriste. À part de tourner comme des hélices, sans connaître l’emplacement des tables. Trois tentatives de nous servir l’apéritif que nous avions commandé ! Les serveurs doivent avoir l’interdiction de sourire. Vraiment tous crispés ! Aucun plaisir..!! Les tartes flambées étaient bonnes, à voir les assiettes de nos voisins, cela avait l’air bon et bien servi. C’est certain on n’y retournera pas !

29/06/2025: The menu's unique feature is that it changes about every six months. This time it was Brittany. 6 starters, 6 main courses, and dessert 🍨. Quite a selection, but don't go at the end of the season, which was my case; not everything was on the menu. The dishes are generous and well-presented. A nice wine list 🍷, though expensive. The wine offered with the Brittany menu was also no longer available 🫤. Service and bill were decent.

09/12/2025: What a wonderful gem restaurant. Friendly, cozy and delicious food. A great experience for those looking to enjoy the Franco-German traditional food with a lovely staff. We felt like home sharing a delicious meal with friends. We recommend reservations. The creme brulee was phenomenal!

08/12/2025: On a friend's recommendation, we came here for lunch as a family (6 adults, a 2.5-year-old, and a 5-month-old baby) while exploring the Alsatian Christmas markets, and we had a wonderful time! The atmosphere was warm, the decor authentic, the waitress incredibly friendly and helpful, the food delicious, and the portions generous. I highly recommend it!

18/12/2024: Very authentic local. Service personnel are nice but unfortunately it takes a long time for them to realize that they want something from you. The food was delicious.

09/12/2024: Thomasian: Alsace is thematically good! A great discovery in the heart of Strasbourg! Le Thomasien offers a typically Alsatian experience in a warm and authentic atmosphere. The cuisine is generous and delicious, with perfectly executed regional specialties. Special mention for their tasty sauerkraut and crispy tartes flambées, all accompanied by a Christmas muscat and a little Riesling. The service is very professional, friendly and attentive, which adds to the pleasure of the meal. An essential address for those who want to taste the flavors of Alsace in a friendly atmosphere.

03/10/2024: We came to enjoy a dinner for two. Being a regular at this restaurant, we are never there, from the valet service, from the pretzel to the aperitif, including melt-in-the-mouth meat and delicious treats at the gourmet coffee: everything is there to have a good time and enjoy. We will come back!

03/10/2024: We had a Caesar salad and lamb. ××× The salad was a shame! ××× A salad in a transparent box from the supermarket would have been the same. My meat was good, but served cold. Professional, fast service. The staff is classy. The prices are exorbitant.

24/09/2024: Great experience at PianoGrill! The servers were concerned about comfort, details and the quality of our dishes. The starters and main courses were incredible: perfectly seasoned vegetables and proteins, served with a condiment that added a complementary taste dimension. Additional positive point: dogs are allowed on the terrace as well as inside.

24/09/2024: We had dinner last Saturday evening. The menu is not very extensive, which is a good sign, a guarantee of quality and freshly cooked products on site. The meat as advertised is truly exceptional meat, very tasty and tender. Perfect. A small downside on the service: it seems that the kitchens were overwhelmed because we waited almost 30 minutes between each course. But I think it was exceptional. I will go back to check it out as the food is excellent.
