29/07/2024: Dîner du 28 août.2024. Menu EPD 32€. Situé sur l'île à Martigues, le long du canal, le restaurant n'est pas si grand que ça mais propose une agréable terrasse. La carte est suffisamment variée pour combler tous les goûts. Nos entrées: 6 huitres carteau et seiches au piment d'Espelette (pour moi), Servi dans un petit saladier, les seiches sont tendres, très goûteuses, tièdies ce qu'il faut pour ne pas cuire la mâche qui apporte la fraîcheur. Un régal ! Puis nos plats, mon épouse qui a pris le thon rouge à l asiatique, sauce base soja salé, sésame et moitié moi le filet de st pierre snack, sauce vierge échalotes servie à part (très bonne idée) avec un risotto champignons des bois. Les 2 furent excellents et bien servis. Les assiettes sont repartis quasi comme neuves. Enfin dessert tarte tatin et soupe de fraises, les 2 ont été aussi réussis bien que la tatin , à mon goût ne soit pas assez caramélisée, dans l esprit de la recette originale. La soupe de fraises a été incroyablement bonne, fraîche, dense, goûteuse avec une pointe de basilic qui se marit bien . Un peu d attente entre les plats mais signe d une cuisine Minute, donc oui il faut savoir patienter quand un cuisinier veut faire de la vraie cuisine. Restaurant tenu en famille, le service fut assuré par une jeune femme, très agréable, efficace et attentionnée. Comment ne pas dire que notre soirée fut très bonne? Vraiment une très agréable surprise, mes 2 critères qualité/prix et quantité/prix sont validés. Comme je l' ai dit au Chef, venu nous voir, c était une première visite, ce ne sera pas notre dernière. 24/05/2024: super restaurant accueil très chaleureux et au petit soin toute la soirée cuisine délicieuse : le thon un régal sans parler du camembert rôti allez y les yeux fermés

18/05/2024: Excellent food, starters, main and dessert. Generous and very kind staff. Warm atmosphere of a small restaurant. Don't be biased that due to its central location, it is touristic - we were the only non french when visited there.

17/05/2024: There wasn’t anything wrong with the dishes as such, they just didn’t quite hit the mark. Tomato tarte tatin didn’t have the full powered tomato flavour you’d expect from Provençal produce, the pastry was soggy and not crisp, Asparagus with a sea bream fillet was pleasant, the sort of thing I’d cook at home. Dessert of pavlova was lovely, local strawberries in season delicious. But it wasn’t exactly pushing the boundaries. Wine was pretty good & the service very attentive & efficient. It was the most expensive meal we had and a bit disappointing.

21/09/2024: Superb menu and service and ambience. This is a wonderful hotel in the centre of St Rémy en Provence where we stayed for almost a week. The hotel is incomparable - beautifully appointed and with staff who cannot do more to help. The dining room served breakfast as a buffet as well as cooked plates and it was an excellent experience - the menu for dinner was imaginative and of the highest quality as was the service. I have no hesitation in recommending the hotel as a hotel and as a restaurant and urge everyone in Provence to go there at least once on each holiday to that delightful region.

06/09/2024: Une belle découverte … arrivés un peu par hasard nous avons eu la dernière table de libre. L’aïoli et le thon au menu du jour nous ont enchantés ainsi que le clafoutis maison !

12/09/2024: Great gem of a find in a tucked away pocket of Marseille. You may have no other reason to visit this part of town but Abaco alone was worth it! We spoke to the chef who checked in with us multiple times as he and his mother looked after us for a lunch. And the bouillabaisse is worth it, and a great price compared to larger institutions!

24/08/2024: Real Marseille bouillabaisse. For once it’s authentic! Fresh and very well prepared fish. Managed by very friendly people from Marseille. Don't hesitate, it's a change from tourist traps...

12/10/2025: It was great before, even better now. The neighborhood bar is back.

14/10/2025: We went to Les Templiers this weekend to eat. The platter was awful, with nothing to eat on it, and then the pizza, I think, was from Lidl. The Morritos were tasteless and had a ton of crushed ice. And for €140 for two pizzas, a platter, two Morritos, and two cocktails... It's outrageous and a rip-off. No respect for the customers. Avoid this place at all costs.

06/10/2025: It was a nice evening, but safety needs to be improved: my friend fell, and during the evening, three other people fell in front of us. The steps are not visible; they should be marked or lit more.

17/09/2024: excellent fresh fish dishes, but they don't joke with the barbecue either! everything was excellent, easy entry for those in wheelchairs. kindness, courtesy and cleanliness are not lacking. the bathroom is accessible, maximum attention to cleanliness.

11/09/2024: Great discovery, regular at Les Saintes, I had not yet tried this establishment, and well I was not disappointed. Very pleasant welcome, typical setting, delicious local bottarga, and local sea bass cooked pearly as requested, a treat.

07/09/2025: Lukewarm fries, dry Big Mac bun, little flavor. Unfriendly management. A real shame. And then a 40-minute wait for a Sunday 🍦 ice cream as well.
