Excellently cooked, great sauce for 28 euros. Simply great and highly recommended.

08/08/2024: Small restaurant in a small alley which at first glance seems cozy and warm, is unfortunately only a facade. Despite a decent price for a menu, the rest does not follow, starter served at the same time as the aperitif giving the impression of wanting to get rid of the customer as quickly as possible to make room for the following customers, no children's menu, main course of the day overcooked (duck fillets that day) Fortunately we have a child who eats everything. No carafe of water offered, in short, I wish them all the best.

07/09/2024: Every course was superb and the ambience and the service was welcoming and relaxing. A bit pricey but this the Centre of Beaune. Definitely a restaurant we will return to.

21/05/2024: If, like me, you were in Beaune for wine tastings and visits to producers, it is a great location. Walking distance to everything and restaurants everywhere nearby and catering is available at the hotel. Newly renovated and fresh, as well as a very lovely and familiar welcome. Happy to help and always greeted with a smile. The rooms were good and the beds relatively hard and firm, which I appreciate. Very good accommodation, I will book again!

Fast service and delicious menu.
18/08/2024: We came at 2:00 p.m. without reservation. 17 people... we were very well received. We had lunch with a superb all-you-can-eat pierrade accompanied by salad and potatoes. The owner and her son are very charming and the cook is friendly. The meat and homemade sauce were quality.

14/09/2024: Dårlig dårlig oplevelse. Arrogant betjening, som var sure over vi ikke bestilte forret. Hovedret ventede vi 1,5 time på og da maden kom var det forkert og de sidste måtte vente 30 min mere

18/08/2024: Beaune has exceptional restaurants and La Benaton is one that sits comfortably in that category. The food is absolutely delicious and is Michelin Star worthy. The service is excellent but you do need to keep an eye on over zealous wine pouring waiters, who top you up constantly, which can leave you with the impression that you are being rushed through a bottle of wine. The restaurant is quiet and had an air of exclusivity, lacking a warmth and vibrancy which may dissuade young foodies from visiting, which would be a great shame as the food is absolutely superb. Dog friendly and well worth a visit!

29/08/2024: Follow where the locals dine. We enjoyed an amazing lunch with a beautiful local wine from the wine list. While it is a bit pricey for the food you're getting, it's definitely worth it. Friendly and caring staff.

17/03/2024: Par où commencer ? 2 étoiles car la viande était bonne . Les problèmes que nous avons rencontrés de manières succinctes :
Pas d’accueil alors que le restaurant est bien loin d’être rempli , nous avons eu nos cocas bien 20 min après l’installation, notre bouteille d’eau gazeuse au milieu du repas ( demande au moment de la commande ) . Mon mari a demandé au serveur du poivre au moulin , il lui répond qu’il n’y en a pas de manière très nonchalante. J’étais certaine que c’était faux , j’ai demandé à une autre serveuse et miracle nous avions du poivre au moulin 2 min après . Je n’ai pas apprécié du tout la nonchalance de ce serveur et ses sourires hypocrites par la suite . Le service était lent et on sentait que les 2 serveurs hommes s’en fichent complètement. Concernant le repas , la viande pour la fondu était bonne , les frites bravo vous choisissez bien vos paquets de frites congelées et pour la salade : 2 cuillères à soupes d’huiles d’olives , une dd vinaigre , un peu de moutarde ( c’est de la région en plus ) une pincée de sel et de poivre et vous avez une vinaigrette simple et efficace . Celles que vous mettez dans la salade elle sent le leader price d’à côté .
La crème brûle à la vanille , ça serait pas mal d’y mettre de la vanille au passage
Au moment de l’addition , on veut nous faire payer 5€ une bouteille d’eau gazeuse . Nous avons eu de l’eau gazeuse du robinet pas une badoit faut pas abuser non plus .
Petit coup de cœur pour les 2 serveuses qui ont été professionnelles .
25/02/2024: Ne prenez pas de petit déjeuner à l'hôtel. Les serveuses étaient en train de prendre leur petit déjeuner avec un jeun homme et n'étaient pas disponibles. On a dû demander des fruits frais au buffet car ils avaient oublié de les mettre. Il n'y avait que des bananes avec des taches brunes et des poires presque pourries. Il n'y avait qu'une bouteille d'eau plate qui était toujours vide et dont ont devait toujours demander pour la remplir. Les pot de noix et les pots de confiture étaient presque vide....

Restaurant Abbaye de Maizieres

16/09/2024: What a stunning hotel - created from a 12th century abbey. The original vaulted ceiling in the reception area was nothing short of spectacular.
Our junior suite room was lovely (huge opening windows were a treat) and location was perfect- just a few minutes walk to the centre of beautiful Beaune.
The daily breakfast was very French and very delicious. But what really made this hotel even more special were the staff. They were all so welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make our second stay in Beaune a very special one. We’d return there in a heartbeat!

Only problem: gate too small for a travel coach, and therefore forced to park against the wall
30/08/2024: For us a perfect hotel on the way south or back again. Car parked right in front of the room door. Very quiet location in the middle of the wine plantations. Very few minutes from the highway. Dinner was of very good quality. Great very friendly staff.

After a great cultural excursion I felt like having a glass of wine. You would expect something typical for Burgundy, but no, terroir does not play a role here. It's all about money.
