04/09/2024: One of the best restaurant experiences I have had in a long time! The food was made with love and absolute expertise. It was a pure joy to visit! I can very much recommend it and would definitely be back next time I visit Beaune.

31/08/2024: Une petite pépite. Un dîner plein de gourmandises, de textures et de délicatesses. Belle créativité en cuisine avec des cuissons justes et bien assaisonnées. Un véritable coup de coeur. De judicieux accords mets et vins. Service bienveillant et pro. Très belle salle bien agencée. Quoi demander de plus ..si y retourner. A recommander mille fois..

27/01/2026: Le Béléna in Béaune – after the change of ownership, it's unfortunately no longer the restaurant we appreciated for. Therefore, I must revise my previous review. Located on Place Madeleine, Le Béléna is very conveniently situated: right next to a free parking lot on the edge of the old town. Since the change of ownership about two years ago, several things have changed for the worse. Where it was once an elegant restaurant with higher standards, it's now comparable to those geared towards tourists, which are less recommendable. The menu hardly varies anymore, and the food left much to be desired.

22/01/2026: Absolutely perfect! The welcome was excellent, the table was spotless with its cloth napkins. The daily special was incredibly affordable, and the quality far exceeded the price. The servers were incredibly attentive, and we never had to ask for anything. They were very proactive and helpful. The group of seniors I accompanied that day joins in this praise.

03/01/2026: We highly recommend this excellent restaurant where we received an exceptionally warm welcome with our two young children. From the amuse-bouche to the desserts, everything was superb. The service was impeccable, with many thoughtful touches for our two-year-old daughter. Special mention goes to the children's menu, which offers a choice of fish or meat, allowing little ones to enjoy a balanced meal while stimulating their palates!

02/12/2024: This was absolutely the best meal of my life. I ate at four Michelin star restaurants in France. All were amazing. But L’Ecusson was in a class by itself. Atmosphere is modern, chic, and understated class. The service was fantastic. Every plate of food was a piece of art. Seriously stop reading this and make your reservation for this truly special and memorable meal. Meals like this are a special moment.

31/12/2025: A brief evening visit to Beaune followed by a family dinner at Brasserie Carnot. A pleasant setting and a warm welcome. The dishes we ordered were very well prepared: snails, onion soup, beef bourguignon, and duck breast, all cooked to perfection. A minor point, however, was the duck breast, which could have used a slightly richer sauce. A brasserie we highly recommend.

28/12/2025: We received a very warm welcome on a Sunday evening without a reservation. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the service is quick and attentive.

17/09/2024: 2ème fois dans ce restaurant et nous sommes de nouveau contents. L'adresse parfaite pour les touristes avec un menu bourguignon classique mais savoureux dans une jolie salle/cave voutée. Le personnel est agréable et professionnel.

15/09/2024: Attracted by the super reviews, we had an enjoyable if somewhat expensive dinner. We had made a reservation and were pleased to be seated in the cellar, which was not guaranteed. There isnt a wine list but a "Bible"and we were happy to be guided through it by a member of the team. The wines are as eye wateringly expensive as you would expect in a fine dining restaurant. This review should have been 5* but the fish main course was really an incredibly small piece of sea bass and it was hard to find the figs in the fig tart. By contrast the beef cheek was a huge portion. The highlight of our meal was being guided through the cheeseboard to understand the provenance of the local cheeses and the right order in which to eat them to enjoy their flavours to the full.

25/06/2025: 3.5/5 Not bad, but disappointed by the food. The beef bourguignon was good but too small in quantity, and it lacked a side dish for my taste. The wine list is interesting but very expensive and at odds with the cuisine. The service is efficient but not friendly, and we were quickly dispatched, reduced by +300€ for a table of 6. It was a good thing there were only 3 of us drinking wine. However, I recommend the Singapore address, which has a passionate young sommelier and very friendly staff.
