31/05/2026: After reading the reviews, we decided to try the vol-au-vent. The result was extraordinary! The fresh, seasonal cuisine was a delight! A true chef makes real dishes with real ingredients: a real treat! (And I don't even like puff pastry, but I thoroughly enjoyed the vol-au-vent!!) The person who greeted us also made the meal exceptional: smiling, pleasant, and attentive to our needs. This restaurant is a gem that must be preserved so that truly good food can continue to thrive! A huge thank you for the warm welcome and the delicious meal! Don't change a thing!

11/05/2026: A truly wonderful experience celebrating a birthday with our family at Château Corneille. The welcome was warm, the rooms comfortable and quiet, and the surroundings of this beautiful estate peaceful. The meals were delicious, and thanks to Pierre's kindness and helpful advice, we had a fantastic time. We would love to return for another special occasion. We highly recommend it.

08/09/2026: Disastrous Brunch! Whatever you do, don't go for the 1 p.m. seating. Brunch is supposed to end at 3 p.m., but by 1 p.m., there's practically nothing left, and what's worse, no restocking is done. For some items, we had to ask for them to be refilled; we only received a meager plate of cheese and charcuterie. Even worse, at 1:30 p.m., we asked if it was possible to have scrambled eggs, since they had been gone for a while. We were simply told no, even though brunch was supposed to continue until 3 p.m. So we paid for an all-you-can-eat brunch without the "all-you-can-eat" option. The server was absolutely unpleasant and told us that it was up to us to ask when items were missing. I find this outrageous for an all-you-can-eat brunch: it's the staff's responsibility to monitor the buffet and ensure it's at least minimally restocked, especially when service is far from over. The most disappointing thing is that there was absolutely no compensation: no desserts from the menu offered as an alternative, no discount on the bill, nothing. Paying the price of a brunch only to be unable to access a large portion of what's offered is unacceptable. A very bad experience, which I absolutely do not recommend. I advise you not to listen to the supposedly positive reviews; once you're there, the reality is far from what you'd expect.

27/05/2026: A wonderful discovery in the heart of Louviers. In a lovely, peaceful, green setting, this is a great restaurant! The dining room is very pleasant and the decor is harmonious. There's also a large and beautiful outdoor terrace. The prices are reasonable and the menu features well-prepared seasonal dishes. Attentive staff and a very warm welcome. I highly recommend it! 🧡

24/07/2026: One of the worst cocktails of my life. My wife and I went out for drinks and we literally couldn't believe what we drank. The cocktail, served in a small glass, tasted like vomit. Honestly, one of the worst experiences of my life.

07/08/2026: A magnificent manor house overlooking the Risle Valley, excellent cuisine with refined flavors, friendly and efficient service, and outdoor seating on a lovely terrace. Very reasonable prices. We were very satisfied with our visit and will definitely return.

19/08/2026: I highly recommend this restaurant. We received a very warm welcome and the service was quick. I had salmon fillet with a delicious sauce and for dessert, a crème brûlée with a twist, topped with slivered almonds and caramel: exquisite! I will definitely be back.

31/07/2026: Honestly, this inn is a wonderful find. Passing through the area, we had a very good dinner. The dishes were expertly prepared, made with excellent ingredients, and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable. A truly excellent experience at a reasonable price. Well done!

27/08/2026: What a shame it's impossible to eat after 7 pm. The staff are friendly, but you can tell they're only there to make money. Being charged for every course is infuriating. And you have to ask for peanuts because you saw them at the next table... The beer selection is a real throwback to the 80s. There's no competition, hence the recommendation from the travel guide.

The cuisine isn't gourmet, but it's home-style cooking with fresh ingredients; you'll leave happy with your meal. The owner and servers work hard, much to the delight of the customers. A reliable address that I highly recommend in Lyons-la-Forêt.
