05/09/2026: There are restaurants where we go to eat… 🍽️ And then there are those that end up becoming a little piece of our history. ❤️ In Nîmes, many people know Christine and Lilian. For many years, they ran Le Fanfaron, in the Révolution district. An iconic eatery, just the way we like them: generous, flavorful, indulgent cuisine, with a touch of warmth… but above all, a place where you felt good. You discovered a thousand and one flavors there, you ran into regulars, you met up with friends… And for my children and me, it became a bit like our family canteen. ❤️ You know, those places where you don't just have memories on your plate, but also memories of life. So naturally, when Christine and Lilian decided to write a new chapter in their story by taking over Le Bistrot des Arènes, just steps from the Nîmes Arena, I wanted to follow this new adventure. And what do I particularly like about it? They haven't tried to become someone else. They've stayed true to themselves. Generous cuisine. Fresh produce. Local ingredients. Short supply chains. Local producers. And above all, that authenticity that's part of their DNA. But because their story doesn't end in Nîmes… 😉 They've also slipped a little piece of my Drôme region into their Nîmes cuisine. ❤️ Two dishes showcase our famous ravioli from Romans-sur-Isère. So naturally, when you're from the Drôme region and you find a little piece of home amidst all these flavors… 👉 It can't help but tantalize the palate and taste buds! 😂 And ultimately, I think that's precisely what makes them successful. Christine and Lilian have crafted their menu based on their own story. On their experiences. On their encounters. On their roots. On their desires. And it shows. Because great cuisine, like a great adventure, doesn't need to be like everyone else's. It simply needs to reflect the people who create it. This new adventure began a few months ago… So today, I simply wanted to tell them: Well done, Christine. Well done, Lilian. ❤️ Bravo for your courage, your hard work, and for bringing a little bit of the Fanfaron spirit to the Bistrot des Arènes. 05/09/2026: A wonderful experience! The dishes are prepared with high-quality ingredients enhanced by a personal touch (petals and microgreens). Our two dishes, the fresh salad and the andouillette sausage with mashed potatoes, were excellent. Special mention for the wine pairing. In short: don't hesitate! 😊

24/09/2026: Exceptional cuisine, but the service falls short The food at Restaurant Vincent Croizard is truly exceptional. Every dish was a culinary delight, showcasing incredible flavors and beautiful presentation. The wine recommendations were spot-on, and it's a lovely touch that the chef comes out to greet the guests at the end of the meal. However, the overall experience was slightly marred by the service. The welcome was rather cold, and the staff was not very pleasant or attentive throughout the meal. For a gastronomic restaurant of this caliber, the hospitality felt distant and unwelcoming. I would still highly recommend this place if you are looking for outstanding food, but be prepared for a somewhat chilly reception from the front-of-house team.

28/08/2026: A lovely, impromptu romantic evening. We were lucky enough to stumble upon this little restaurant where everything was perfect. From the warm welcome to the quality of the meal and the very friendly atmosphere. A restaurant not to be missed.

19/08/2026: What can I say except: this is an address not to be missed! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the food is as generous as the owners. We had a wonderful evening at this restaurant, enjoying delicious cuisine at reasonable prices for the quality, in a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere that makes you want to stay. Everything is top-notch: the food, the service, the ambiance. If we return to the area, we will definitely be back. Thank you to them for offering this kind of restaurant to their discerning and food-loving clientele!

Dare to push open the door of this little restaurant which, from the outside, doesn't look like much, but inside... what charm! Everything is homemade, cooked to perfection—vegetables, meat, or fish. We shared the appetizers and cheese plates without any problem. The service, the dishes, the welcome, the atmosphere... thank you, don't change a thing, and we'll be back! Located in a large park, this beautifully renovated former farmhouse offers a very peaceful place to relax and discover the area. Family-run, this type of establishment does credit to its profession and its region: professional and dedicated to doing things well! Highly recommended!

I booked the patio area for my birthday party, and I can say without hesitation that it exceeded my expectations in every way. Jacqueline created an exceptional decoration. Philippe treated us to a delicious meal. All the guests were so happy. We had a wonderful day. I will definitely return for future events. 17/09/2026: We had dinner here in the evening. The welcome and service were extremely friendly, and they really did their best to make us feel comfortable. Unfortunately, we could only sit inside (though with air conditioning), and the terrace was apparently closed. We had a delicious meal, and the food arrived quickly. Definitely worth a repeat visit.
