The atmosphere was certainly lively! 😂 We were in Nîmes for a funeral and chose Le Ménestrel after searching for good restaurants in Nîmes. Well, it wasn't just good, no! From the service to the wine selection and the food itself, everything is just right and, above all, absolutely delicious. There are always plenty of vegetarian options. 08/04/2026: We were able to visit twice during our stay, the second time with our dogs. The server was helpful and very pleasant. They had about ten beers on tap and many more to take away. A great spot for beer lovers.

04/11/2025: A very warm welcome, the service is efficient and quick without ever feeling rushed. They regularly ask if everything is alright and if you're satisfied. This is so rare. An almost exceptional find in the highly touristic setting of La Grande Motte, even out of season. The dishes are beautifully presented, generously portioned, and delicious. As for the view, you're right on the beach, and the road is very quiet, at least at this time of year. A place you absolutely must discover.

The staff were professional and friendly, the food was excellent, the terrace was lovely, and the interior decor was very original – I loved it! Being in the restaurant business in Pont-Saint-Esprit, I have nothing but praise... A special thank you to the owner who offered us two wine glasses at my request to buy some... thank you! We will gladly return. Have a great season!

25/04/2026: If you're looking for a place to have a good time, stop by La Cachette de Mamé. The place is very friendly and welcoming. The food is excellent, the ingredients are fresh, and everything is homemade. Great atmosphere, not to mention the service, which is top-notch, just like everything else. A wonderful discovery. Thank you!

27/05/2026: Unfortunately, we can't comment on the food, as we only had a few beers there. The service was friendly, at least from the male waiters; the young waitress still has some learning to do, but I'm sure she'll get there.

17/05/2026: Excellent service and very fresh food. I arrived late at night in late March with a Mistral infused town and not many places open. Le Vieux Cafe (brasserie and bar) was humming with life, full of locals, families, expats, young and old for dinner, conviviality and really good food. I had the trout, and enjoyed the experience so much, I returned the next night. I sat next to a couple who ordered the steak dinner, which looked and smelled amazing, and on the other side a table of 10 locals ritually gathering for dinner, and on the other side, two tables full of children and families at ease in this local institution. By 7:30, there was a line out the door of French residents, clearly a favorite.
