28/06/2026: A truly wonderful stop on the Mare a Mare Nord! We spent a night at Marie-Laure's and everything was perfect. Her welcome was incredibly warm; we immediately felt right at home. Dinner was excellent, and the generous breakfast featured delicious local products. We will cherish the memory of this relaxing and convivial stay. 07/07/2026: I was there one evening during my June holidays. If you want to eat typical Corsican cuisine, there's no better place. A quaint place, we had the dinner menu, appetizers, and fritters. My wife had the lamb, and I had the wild boar with various side dishes. Everything was cooked to perfection, using genuine ingredients and meat raised by the owners. They're also kind and make you feel at home. The aperitif, made with white wine and myrtle, was excellent. We finished the evening with the desserts, which were spectacular. 28/07/2026: Superb spot, hidden from passersby and prying eyes. The waiter and waitress were very pleasant, with soft background music and a pavlova for dessert that was absolutely divine. I highly recommend it.

21/07/2026: The food is not up to the standard of a Corsican restaurant!!! More like a tourist trap!! And don't even get me started on the toilets!!! You'd be better off peeing in the maquis!!! In short: avoid at all costs...... Words from a Corsican who lives nearby 👍

20/07/2026: A unique setting, Corsican cuisine featuring farm-fresh products, and the best part is the Corsican evenings with local groups and singers – a true return to the roots of what we knew in our villages. The meal is more than enough, even too generous. A tip: have a snack at lunchtime to better appreciate all the dishes on offer. In short, a real treat, an absolute must-try, an institution not to be missed.

29/05/2026: First coffee after getting off the boat and what a welcome! The owner (a true Corsican and proud of it) is a sweetheart and very charming! Go without hesitation, you won't be disappointed.

17/06/2026: What can I say? It's been a must-see every year since 2010. It's a country house transformed into a restaurant, with small, quiet rooms. You'll be welcomed by Pauline's son, who will seat you near what was once the watering hole, and you'll be served an excellent Moscato. From there, you'll enjoy the sunset over the bay of Saint-Florent. Then, once inside, you'll surely appreciate the Villeroy & Boch dishes, a Corsican soup will be served (you'll definitely want more), followed by delicious local artisanal cured meats, melt-in-the-mouth zucchini fritters, veal in red wine or Corsican style with a side of strozzapreti, or lasagna with roast beef sauce. Then there are cheeses with fig jam and green tomato jam. To finish, a couple of desserts: a huge, very light cream puff filled with preserved clementines and local grappa. I forgot about the "caciu minatu"—try it. The menu is set, and the price in 2025 was around €60. I'm tired of spending more than €50 for an appetizer, main course with side dish, dessert, and wine near the sea. It's better to pop into Murato every now and then!
