€55 for two at lunchtime is a bit steep.
The smoking area being open to the non-smoking section is also a bit of a letdown, which is a shame.

Friendly, welcoming, offering a beautiful view of the old port and delicious food.
Le Sud is the place to go in Bastia to relax and have a good time.

16/04/2026: We received a very warm welcome and were comfortably seated. We had a great conversation with the owner and the servers. Thank you for your time and effort in ensuring we had a wonderful meal. The seared tuna with eggplant caviar was incredible! We look forward to eating at your restaurant again!
12/04/2026: The restaurant in Calvi is very good. In April, the sunny terrace is lovely. The dishes on the menu are decent; the pasta accompanying the wild boar stew was perhaps a little too oily. But overall, it was satisfactory. The service is friendly.

12/01/2026: We were there with our motorcycle and tent. The sanitary facilities were very nice and impeccably maintained, and there was a kilometer-long sandy beach perfect for hours of walking. The reception manager spoke German, and the restaurants were lovely. A wonderful holiday destination! We always love coming back, probably even this year!
30/12/2025: Beautiful campsite in a great location. We stayed in a tent right on the beachfront, and we had the option of renting a fridge.
The restaurant was excellent; there was a fantastic Corsican band playing.
The campsite shop had a wide selection of local products.
The showers and toilets were great.
A very private and peaceful campsite.
I highly recommend it for a change of scenery and to recharge your batteries. A+++++

26/03/2026: The best pizzeria I've tried in Calvi, with very welcoming and friendly service and staff! All the dishes are excellent and the pizzas are incredibly good. I highly recommend this restaurant for sharing a pleasant moment with family or friends.
17/02/2026: Open in February – great, as few restaurants are open off-season. We were the only ones there except for one table. There were always takeout orders. It's in an odd spot near the supermarket parking lot. The ambiance is nil. Inside, there's also very little atmosphere, with upside-down wall lights. The pizzas were fine, and the service was basic, not over the top. We spent €35.

21/03/2026: Everything was perfect from the appetizer to the dessert. The Corsican menu was reasonably priced, featuring good, fresh, homemade ingredients, and a view of Bastia's old port. A real treat.

Free entry, but very expensive drinks (€8 for a Coke and €12 for a beer...)
11/09/2025: We were having a great evening with a small band playing music and a happy, festive atmosphere until the bar owner decided to verbally attack my husband for no reason. He then physically threatened him by trying to fight him outside. A very bad experience and we absolutely do not recommend this kind of place.
