27/03/2026: Generally just okay. Kinda of strange that they wouldn't let you sit inside out of the cold, even though the restaurant was empty just to have a drink only if you buy food can you have that privilege.
13/03/2026: Good atmosphere, very friendly service, and the food is good. It's a bit pricey compared to other restaurants in the area, and the service was quite (very) slow, which prevents it from getting 5 stars.

07/03/2026: A very disappointing meal... €26 for a Savoyard burger... or rather, a steak between two slices of bread... We searched for the Reblochon cheese flavor inside! A side salad wouldn't have been out of place considering the price.

We had a great time at La Potinière this summer and fall.
The chicken burger was more than disappointing for the price...
The presentation was sloppy.
Not a single green ingredient in this burger.
We have such good produce in the region... what a shame!
The waitresses, however, are as welcoming and pleasant as ever.

17/03/2026: We've been coming here for 40 years, and this time, when it came time to pay, they shoved the credit card terminal in our faces with the waiter heavily pressuring us to leave a tip. And what did we dare do? Not tip! The result? The atmosphere became awful. Great. Basically, here at L'Irish Coffee, the waiter's smile costs money. For us, that's it, we're going somewhere else. We're not in the USA; tipping isn't mandatory. Pathetic!

26/02/2026: Ordered takeaway pizzas, the waitress was unpleasant when we asked for information. We barely ordered before they brought us the bill. Lots of dough and very little topping.
24/02/2026: We had a wonderful time at "Le National": generous portions, simple yet delicious food, and very pleasant service. I highly recommend it!

17/03/2026: I do not really understand all the bad reviews. The food was great and the staff were friendly. Surely, it is expensive but all places in the slopes are. If you enjoy French dishes (tartiflette etc) and a beautiful view then this place is great!

19/03/2026: Absolutely terrible service. I waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for a coffee, and when I raised the issue, the waitress responded rudely by saying that if I didn’t want to wait, I should have brought coffee from home. That is not how customers should be spoken to under any circumstances. Poor service is one thing, but rudeness and disrespect make it much worse.

26/03/2026: I had a 4 formages pizza. I can say that I have had this pizza many times in other places, but this is one of the best I have had. We also had pancakes and because of them I understand the low rating. I was very (overwhelmingly) satisfied with the pizza. That's why 5 stars.
24/03/2026: The service was terrible; the waiter was very arrogant. We ordered small beers, but they brought us large ones and pretended not to notice when we told him that wasn't what we ordered. The food was very ordinary; we ordered lasagna, pasta, and salad. The taste and quality were awful. It's the worst restaurant we visited in Chamonix. Please don't support them.

31/03/2024: Awful experience. Staff are rude, demanding you squeeze in and dump clothing, helmets on the floor. Food tastes of soap. Chips were stone cold. Place is a joke, worst mountain restaurant you will come across.
19/03/2024: Service good. Meal poor. This had been one of the few remaining decent restaurants on the slopes in Chamonix which hadn’t been taken over by a corporate group - until now.. Unfortunately it is now a chain of 18 restaurants. I ordered fish and chips for 26 euros. The fish was battered fish fingers out of the freezer, virtually no fish in them, chips also from freezer. My partner ordered vegetable crumble, he thought it tasted like microwave food reheated. Felt ill afterwards as not been eating UPF for several weeks. Gave it 2 stars because service was very good.

Amazing views.
We walked up to the Refuge, at the Refuge we admired the wonderful landscape and enjoyed two delicious tarts with raspberries and blueberries.

Hotel l'Heliopic Restaurant

06/09/2024: Stylish restaurant set within an upmarket hotel (don’t let that put you off). The menu had a great range of dishes so we opted for the tasting menu which was reasonably priced. Service was nicely paced and welcoming. Our meal took around 2.5 hours and consisted of 5 generous courses. The wine pairing was a nice addition - usually we’d avoid but this was sensibly priced and a decent amount per glass. Would recommend and go back.

I bought some sausage to bring home to my family. It is super expensive and of poor quality... I have never tasted such a salty sausage and I am always looking for the taste of blueberries... Disappointing for a blueberry sausage. In short, a big tourist trap, it's better to go directly to the super u for the products, they're the same and cheaper, or to local producers...
25/08/2024: I visited this store in Chamonix to buy local cold meats and cheeses. The products are excellent, and the place is really pretty. The young man who prepared the sandwiches for us was helpful and very friendly, which made the experience pleasant at first. Unfortunately, the lady with the glasses completely ruined the atmosphere. She was extremely rude and vulgar, which is a shame.
I was planning on returning to purchase more products later today, but after this experience I will not set foot in this store again.
