17/05/2026: We enjoyed excellent dishes; the ingredients were fresh, high-quality, and well-prepared. Our table was large enough for six people. Both servers were attentive. A great experience! We will definitely return.

15/05/2026: A truly wonderful experience at this restaurant: a real treat for both the eyes and the palate. The dishes are as beautiful as they are delicious, with meticulous presentation and perfectly balanced flavors. A couple of minor drawbacks, however: the wine vintages aren't listed on the menu, which would be helpful for making a better selection. Also, the lack of tablecloths means the tables are slightly sticky, a detail that could be improved for a perfect experience. Despite these minor issues, a truly excellent restaurant that I highly recommend.

The delicate Asian influences provide a constantly renewed delight. Thimothé's service is impeccable, elevating the dishes with remarkably precise and original wine pairings. A must-visit in Tarbes and the surrounding area.

03/04/2026: We organized a company lunch, and it was perfect. The tapas were excellent as a starter, followed by a choice of a quality cut of beef or seared scallops, and delicious desserts. The best thing about this restaurant is the quality of its fresh ingredients and the fact that everything is homemade, which isn't always the case these days with all the restaurant chains. Here you'll find all the authenticity of a quality bistro-brasserie.

27/03/2026: Excellent! Although we're from Tarbes, we hadn't been back to this restaurant for at least 20 years… Very indulgent—it lives up to its name—and very pleasant! Rich and hearty dishes made with very fresh, local ingredients. A good selection of local wines, especially if you like Madiran. Delicious desserts without being too sweet. In short: go!

16/05/2026: We came for dinner on a Friday evening. (Our usual brother/sister get-together) Food: 17/20. The dishes were very well prepared with good ingredients. You can tell that the emphasis on quality is evident in every bite. The menu is varied, not too few, not too many—just the right amount, and everyone will find something they like! My only slight reservation, as I'm particular about wine, is that there are a few too many Bordeaux wines on the list. Remove one Bordeaux and add a nice Minervois! The Corbières is the least expensive bottle, and it's fabulous!!! Service: 19/20. The waiter was lovely, a very kind person, smiling and very pleasant! It had been years since I'd received such excellent service! Keep up the good work, sir; your work and dedication are top-notch!!! Atmosphere: 15.5/20. The dining room is spacious enough, the decor simple but decent, the setting isn't groundbreaking but not stale either… it's a refreshing change without being over the top. Classic but effective! We were won over by this restaurant, and especially by the gentleman who served us. Well done and thank you for a lovely evening!

01/05/2026: A real treat! 😍 The dishes were generous, delicious, and prepared with care. We enjoyed every bite from start to finish! On top of that, the welcome was warm and the service was excellent. It's a place where you feel comfortable and want to return. I highly recommend it.

21/05/2026: Honestly, I have no complaints about the food; it was simple, efficient, and quite good. However, the service was terrible. To begin with, we were kept waiting even though we had a reservation and the table we were seated at had been free since our arrival. But never mind that. The worst part was the waitress. She was a disaster. Our drinks arrived after our main courses, and we must have been bothering her; she clearly didn't want to serve us. Menus were practically thrown on the table as if we were on our own. I've never seen anything like it. At one point, when we had finished our meal a good twenty minutes earlier, I had to get up to go see the woman who was drinking a Coke and chatting with the bartenders. I think we were clearly bothering her and the other customers. The cherry on top was that we ordered two "café gourmand" (gourmet coffees), which were supposed to include a slice of brownie, a madeleine, and, most importantly, crème brûlée, my favorite dessert. Instead, I received fromage blanc with red fruit coulis. Incredibly, the waitress didn't even tell us that there was no more crème brûlée in the "café gourmand" and that it had been replaced with fromage blanc and red fruit coulis (which I hate). It was truly terrible, an experience I definitely don't recommend, at least not with this waitress, as she was incredibly disrespectful. I hope she gets some training in service and catering because she really needs to rethink everything. It was simply catastrophic and unworthy of a restaurant. Regarding the manager, who clearly didn't appreciate our feedback about the unpleasant experience we had, the worst part is that the food itself is actually quite good and enjoyable, despite a few slightly damaged plates—honestly, no complaints there—but the service really needs improvement, especially the waitress's performance. Such behavior is unacceptable. If you don't enjoy this job, change careers and let true professionals take over. Not only are you ruining the service, but you're also making things difficult for everyone.

21/05/2026: We came to have a nice time with friends. While the food was decent, the welcome and service were disastrous. The waitress made us wait 15 minutes, even though we had a reservation, without apologizing, when she came to seat us, even though a colleague offered to seat us, which she refused (I have no problem waiting if it's done respectfully, but that wasn't the case here, especially since her colleague had offered her a solution). The waitress asked us what we wanted without us even touching the menus, and when we finally got them, we realized we were missing the aperitif menu, which annoyed the waitress when we asked what they had. After a long wait, we received our main courses before our aperitifs. It was a strange way of doing things, but I refused to have my aperitif served in a dirty glass (with foam and fingerprints). We had to ask for a replacement glass. Once we finished our meals, we were ignored for quite some time; no one cleared our plates or offered us dessert. When we went to ask if it would be possible to clear them and see the dessert menu, the waitress was calmly sitting at the bar, drinking and chatting with the waiter. No problem staying hydrated, but in the middle of a busy service, you have to take care of the customers and relax after your shift. Our plates were never cleared; her colleague had to do it, but she did deign to offer us dessert. We asked her for water, which never arrived. She was back relaxing at the bar while the other customers waited to be served. While the other servers were professional and helpful in the few instances we saw them, this person who served us was unpleasant and extremely rude. I don't want the restaurant's reputation to be tarnished by one person's actions, but it's not normal for someone like that to do such rigorous and humane work.

15/02/2026: One evening, we made a reservation at L’Authentique, a restaurant I highly recommend. The food is excellent, especially the very tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat served with forest-style potatoes. The portions are very generous, and the desserts are delicious. The staff is very friendly and all gentlemen, which I think is a great touch. We will definitely be back. Thank you to the team.

It simply wasn't up to par (the pâté and chorizo ​​were entry-level); the sausage was somewhat redeeming, but in a region so rich in charcuterie, it's a real shame.

Very affordable prices, a daily special, a simple menu featuring locally sourced products, simple yet effective cuisine, and above all, a warm, friendly welcome, always with a smile. It has everything that makes a bistro charming: regulars, passersby, and a wonderfully convivial atmosphere where everyone mingles naturally. You feel right at home every time you visit. The setting is pleasant and full of charm, reflecting the team that works there. A reliable place that I recommend without hesitation. Note: Reservations are recommended.
