10/12/2024: Worst scam of my life. I have been to many Marie Blachere boutiques, this is the first time I have seen this, the whole baguettes they sell correspond to 1/3 of a real baguette for 1e 30. Here is my photo, of the baguette biggest ones I bought there, the majority were smaller...

09/12/2024: I got flan and it was just perfect not too sweet which is exactly how I like it! ☺️I will be coming back for more in the near future. There was one guy working there that was serving me and he was nice!

08/03/2026: Not up to 4-star standards... the room wasn't particularly clean, there was no kettle or welcome kit. The extra pillow was yellow and had no cover. There were a few hairs in the bathroom. The toilet seat doesn't stay closed when you sit on it. Breakfast was good, but the cutlery was dirty (we're not talking about smudges, but food residue stuck to it), and the glass wasn't clean either. The common areas are nice, but the rooms are not worthy of a 4-star rating. Similarly, the smell at the hotel entrance wasn't very pleasant. On the other hand, the staff was very friendly and helpful. For €140 a night, we'll stay somewhere else next time.

07/03/2026: We spent one night as a couple in a room where cleanliness left much to be desired: dirt on the floor, a bed sheet with a hole, and only one bath towel for two people. The heating fan was very noisy. One star for the friendly staff and one for the breakfast. Given the price of the room, we expected much better.

31/12/2025: The place is filthy and the atmosphere is like a cemetery. The owner is only friendly enough to boost sales, but if you want a truly pleasant experience with more humane and less depraved service, there are better options on the esplanade... Happy New Year!

23/06/2025: The hotel is very quiet and comfortable. I had a pleasant weekend there. The only minor criticism I could make would be the lack of a coffee machine available.

12/11/2025: The welcome and service were extremely unpleasant. The waiter snatched our menu while we were looking at it. He then proceeded to speak rudely to us without any apparent remorse. Avoid this place if you want to have a good time…

01/11/2025: Very disappointed. I used to come here regularly, but the quality of the food has really gone downhill. There was practically nothing on my plate. I ordered cuttlefish (supions), and I had to search for the few pieces I could find, along with two small potatoes cut into quarters and a sour tomato sauce. Not great. For dessert, I had a tiramisu. Meh! Runny and tasteless. It's a shame, it used to be very good. I won't be going back.

14/02/2026: We had booked a table for Valentine's Day (a week in advance), received a confirmation message, but when we called (the same day) we were told our reservation was cancelled, without having received any prior notification. Obviously, there were no more tables available, and they left us without any alternative. Be careful with your reservations…

14/02/2026: We had a wonderful Valentine's Day evening at La Closerie restaurant. The menu was carefully selected, and we loved it. The setting was lovely, and the service was excellent. We highly recommend it.

23/03/2026: A superb brasserie on the banks of the Lez river with a lovely terrace for enjoying a simple coffee.

08/03/2026: A friendly, typically Algerian atmosphere; thank you for all the chaabi evenings and iftar meals you host for the students.
