A wonderful discovery and a fantastic welcome.
Despite a large crowd before our visit and a nearly empty fridge, we were served and looked after exceptionally well.
The charcuterie, cheeses, and wines are of high quality, and the owner is kind and attentive.
Thank you very much.

27/07/2026: A truly wonderful restaurant that we wholeheartedly recommend! The bistronomic cuisine is refined and perfectly executed. The menus offer excellent value for money. The service is friendly and efficient. The beautiful building adds a great deal of charm to the place, and the terrace is a real asset for enjoying a meal in the summer in a very pleasant setting.

13/09/2026: If you're ever in Chinon, you absolutely must visit MAJA!
From 11:00 AM to 10:30 PM, the first thing that strikes you is the warm smile and welcome from the owner and her team. Then there's the menu, which features high-quality, expertly prepared dishes. A delightful surprise for a popular brasserie located on a beautiful square.
We went once… and went back the very next day!

Plus, they have a superb beer, La Vedette de Moortgat. One of the best beers in Belgium!

03/09/2026: We went there for dinner and we had a wonderful meal 🤩. The presentation was meticulous and the food was excellent!! The service was impeccable!! We highly recommend this place!!
31/08/2026: We had a wonderful meal from start to finish... The staff were attentive and helpful. Special mention to Marie Pascaline who was so caring from beginning to end. I'm very picky about food and this restaurant delighted my taste buds.

14/05/2026: Everything was perfect for these 3 nights. Quality bedding, clean bathroom and toilet. The only downside was the terrace, which was covered in dirt that had probably been there for a few weeks, which was a shame. But overall, I was very happy with my stay here.

However, it's really great and the welcome was top-notch.

Since I only go in the mornings and very rarely, I can't comment on the food because I've never had the chance to eat there.

28/08/2026: Great find! We chose thé set menu with Salmon starter & cod main (which sounds quite boring) and were amazed by thé creativity, tastes & detail in thé dishes. Similarly with thé desserts of îles flottantes & nougat parfait, all accompagnied by a lovely Chablis chosén directly from thé wine cellar. Thé cheese trolley looked fab but we were too full to try it. Great service too!
28/08/2026: It's excellent, and a special mention goes to the cuttlefish tagliatelle carbonara, which is absolutely divine! Special mention also goes to the drinks list, which, despite seeming old-fashioned, is a treasure trove of discoveries! Don't miss it under any circumstances!

I recommend the coconut egg with camembert cream. A pure delight at a very reasonable price. A great place to eat.

05/09/2026: We had dinner at this restaurant and has two meat dishes. The last one on the list was fish so not great if you are vegetarian.
28/08/2026: A real treat! The daily special, a perch fillet served with rice, was delicious and perfectly prepared. Add to that a really nice setting and excellent service. A superb place that I highly recommend.

17/09/2024: Plus points, they looked after our bikes very well
Our room was on the fourth floor and there was no lift.
Breakfast was chaotic, no one seemed to be in charge and they kept running out of food. They promised gluten-free food which turned out to be dry crackers.
