21/03/2026: I am extremely disappointed. We paid €68 for a room and were met with the gruesome discovery of mold and a broken door handle. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

12/12/2025: Despite a last-minute request for 65 people, this restaurant went above and beyond to provide us with excellent service. The service was quick and efficient, the cuisine simple yet delicious, featuring both hot and cold dishes. And everything was served on time, to our great satisfaction. I thank them and highly recommend them.

24/04/2026: Very cozy place in a beautiful location! It is, of course, no surprise that we happily return here every year!

21/04/2026: A wonderful little spot... sunshine ☀️ and relaxation... Facing the lake, perfect for a break of any length. From coffee to lunch and afternoon tea... Bread is available... also for campers staying at the campsite just a few meters away... I highly recommend booking in advance to be greeted by the smiles of Nicole, the owner, and her team... 👍😉😍

05/04/2026: We had a wonderful time at L'Auberge de l'Abbaye this Easter Sunday. The traditional cuisine was delicious and the menu reasonably priced, all in a very pleasant setting. The welcome was warm and friendly. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism. We will gladly return!

02/04/2026: Honestly, I don't even know where to begin, this experience was a complete disaster from start to finish. This hostel has a string of flaws to an almost unheard-of degree. First, the smell… it was awful. A persistent odor of urine permeated several areas, especially the rooms and hallways, as if the cleaning had never been done properly. It was impossible to relax or sleep in those conditions; it was truly nauseating. Then, the staff: incredibly unpleasant. Not a smile, no desire to help, and a constant feeling of being a nuisance. Every time we asked a question, we felt like we were bothering them, and the answers were often curt, even downright rude. The cleanliness in general leaves much to be desired: dirty bathrooms, questionable sheets, dust everywhere… We seriously wondered if hygiene standards were being met. The facilities are old, poorly maintained, and sometimes even broken. The noise is also a major problem: there's no soundproofing; you can hear everything, all the time. Between the constant coming and going, the slamming doors, and the conversations in the hallways, it's impossible to get any proper rest. And to top it all off, the price is completely unjustified. Paying for such an unpleasant experience is truly outrageous. In short, I strongly advise against this hostel. There are clearly better options elsewhere, even for less money. Absolutely avoid it if you want to have even a minimally pleasant stay.
