09/11/2024: Exquis ! Menu "Vent et Lune" formidable, beaucoup de découvertes, et des mélanges de saveurs inoubliables. Coup de coeur pour l'émulsion de foie gras et de brebis pour le fromage. Service impeccable ! Dommage que le restaurant soit temporairement délocalisé...mais ce sera l'occasion d'y retourner !

20/06/2025: Following a first visit to this charming restaurant where we were satisfied for 4 meals, we returned there in Club with..... 31 people and we were not the only ones, probably double (that's a good sign)! .. despite the large number of meals, the service, which was a real challenge, was remarkably well executed. No waiting or errors in the service, everything was smooth, what's more, which is rare and deserves to be noted, no need to ask to fill the bread basket, it was instantaneous. The same for the drink, the waiters were friendly and attentive. The meal, for my part, was a success, the only small downside (to find something to say); The chocolate mousse was too sweet for my taste, but there was a choice of another dessert! So, well done to the owner and his entire team. It's a good place if you're passing through Romorantin for the Matra museum, the Sologne museum for example, and many other pleasant places in this beautiful region!

23/11/2025: A very pleasant place. A proper restaurant open on Sundays, which is quite rare and worth mentioning. We enjoyed a Cheverny red "Le Portail," very typical of the Loire Valley, with a deep ruby ​​color, well-balanced at 12% alcohol, and an interesting, subtle cheesey finish. It went down very easily. For the starter, we had goat cheese with honey on excellent bread (rye or something else?). But the fish stew was remarkable, especially the cooking; the sea bream and scallops were perfectly al dente. The vintage decor is a matter of taste, but it's certainly charming. Just be aware of the dust! Well done. We recommend it!

The dishes are refined, flavorful, and perfectly presented. For an experience of this quality, the price is more than reasonable. I recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

22/06/2025: So we went back as a family in August 2023 for our daughter's birthday. We had four gourmet menus for €45, including a starter, main course, dessert, and aperitif, along with two bottles of wine: a Quincy and a Chinon de Cracant les Coteaux, both very good, and two children's menus for €15. We again enjoyed the dishes and ate on the patio. For starters, I had very good natural cooked French foie gras or a light velouté, followed by a main course: sliced ​​beef, or for me, very good kidney and sweetbreads, or pike mousseline. Dessert: red fruit gratin, financier with apricot, and for me, a chocolate fondant off the menu and two coffees, all for €305, really good value. We returned in June 2025, 4 menus at €42 2 menus at €15 1 bottle of Lalande Pomerole red wine at €42 all for €284. I arrived annoyed because 45 minutes late road closed to Chambord for the concert. The welcome and the menu delighted me as usual. Very fine tasty menu and in a magnificent setting the patio. Thank you for this very good time. For me one of the best restaurants in the region.......

01/01/2026: A real gem! The Auberge de la Caillère is a very welcoming hotel where you feel at home from the moment you arrive. We had booked a "comfort room with terrace," which was spacious and very pleasant. The Auberge de la Caillère is very well located, near many castles (including the Château de Chaumont-sur-Loire, which is a true jewel). We dined at the hotel restaurant; the dining room is magnificent, the dishes were sophisticated, refined, and delicious! And the service was impeccable. Special mention goes to the very generous breakfast, with delicious products, all served in a room full of character and charm. We will definitely be back!

For my part, the roasted chicken with pasta was excellent, cooking, seasoning, nothing to say. Service, fast, discreet and perfectly organized.
