14/07/2024: Je prend une andouillette et je demande le remplacement de la garniture(légumes contre des frites) la patronne me dit aucuns soucis. Elle arrive avec mon plat. Et dans l assiette les légumes dont je ne voulais pas car ma santé m interdit de manger des fibres.avec ça elle m apporte un tout petit bol avec 3 frites. Sur l addition les 3 frites facturés 4€ Bravo la mentalité et très commerçant 👏 Ils ne nous rêveront plus.

20/11/2025: The rooms are bright and clean, with a simple and relatively modern decor (predominantly white). Cleanliness is never an issue. The location on the banks of the Loire is truly lovely, even if you can't see the river from every room. The staff, under the management's guidance, are very helpful; I had forgotten something, and they contacted me themselves by email and then sent it by mail. Well done and thank you! The restaurant is a separate business, but communication between the hotel and restaurant is easy thanks to dedicated corridors and staircases. A word about this gourmet restaurant: the food and service were impeccable. The only downside was that some servers were absent during our evening, and the meal lasted far too long, between two and three hours (admittedly, there were five of us).

10/10/2024: On a business trip, I have already had lunch or dinner in this restaurant which I find really excellent. The self-service starters and desserts offer is varied and of high quality, as are the à la carte dishes or daily specials. The service is very professional and friendly.

06/01/2026: A unique setting in Saumur... even with the dual carriageway nearby... you'll find an extraordinary peaceful space... a courteous and discreet welcome... the hotel offers rooms in the castle: the understated charm of the old, and Terrace rooms: you can park nearby. The Gypsy Caravans: a picturesque night in the middle of a very quiet, wooded park. The restaurant offers exceptional menus at reasonable prices... you can even land your helicopter in front of the restaurant if you wish... You can also hold your seminars here; two rooms are available with catering. For your wedding (request a quote), a team attentive to your wishes will be happy to assist you. I highly recommend it.

28/12/2025: A superb place to stay, just before Saumur. The rooms are very nice with excellent service; I highly recommend it.

28/02/2026: New owners for a week now. Sophisticated cuisine bursting with flavor, a menu featuring fresh, local ingredients. Children can enjoy the same menu as adults, but in smaller portions (a welcome change from steak or ham and fries), and they loved it. Don't hesitate to try it.

15/11/2025: Booked a table at this restaurant for a family birthday celebration and was very disappointed. The €45 menu included a starter called "La Gouline," which I was expecting to be a pie, but what arrived on my plate was a dried-out round of pastry with bits of meat inside. Next, I ordered an entrecote with morel sauce for an additional €8. The meat was good and cooked as requested, but I'm still looking for the morels. As for dessert, which we had pre-ordered for a Black Forest cake for the whole table, we received instead a very bland milk chocolate mousse where the sponge cake had been soaked in water... or simply a cake that had been frozen and refrozen several times. Very disappointed, I do not recommend it.

18/08/2024: Ne vous fiez pas aux apparences. La désuétude du lieu est sans rapport avec la table. Du crémant à l’apéro qui ferait taire beaucoup de champagnes, aux terrines parfumées de saveurs étranges et inoubliables, de l’entrée au plat, c’est la sarabande de subtiles et élégantes surprises gastronomiques. Une très jolie présentation : pour elle un poisson, pour moi un rognon, servi comme un plat de fête, délicatement décorés de légumes vapeurs. Un univers de créativité dans un soucis de préserver les goûts du terroir. Un savoir-faire hors pair. C’est un restaurant gastronomique et il est bien mieux que certains étoilés. Le ton y est humble et gentil. C’est la patronne qui vous sert. L’addition est raisonnable. La carte des vins satisfaisante et le dessert est un feu d’artifice dedouceurs et de couleurs. On ne s’y arrêterait que par hasard ? Eh bien non, programmez-le ! C’est un paradis !

26/07/2024: Encore un bon souvenir de repas à O Prestige. Nous étions accompagnés de deux couples d'amis, qui ne connaissaient pas, pour y fêter nos 3 x 50 ans de mariage. Ce fut un bon moment. Nous sommes tous unanimes quand à la satisfaction de ce déjeuner. Cuisine remarquable de saveurs et de finesse. Bravo au chef, à madame et leurs serveurs pour leur aimable accueil et le menu du jour. Nous reviendrons tous bien sûr.

11/12/2025: The staff were welcoming and the breakfast was plentiful, but room 26 had a non-working electrical outlet, and the room itself was old and smelled unpleasant. The bathroom light was also faulty. In my opinion, it wasn't worth the price at all.

09/11/2025: We received a very warm welcome; the receptionist was very kind and pleasant. The room was adequate, with a small mold stain in the bathroom and a non-functional electrical outlet. Double doors provided optimal security. I should mention that when we reported the problem, the receptionist wanted to move us to another room, but when we refused, he provided us with an extension cord. There was a minor issue with some regular hotel guests, and the receptionist tried to resolve it at midnight. He remained very kind, pleasant, and accommodating throughout. This gentleman deserves recognition for his kindness, consideration, and composure. We had a short but pleasant night. The breakfast was very generous. I recommend it.

06/08/2024: Endroit toujours aussi exceptionnel mais au fil des années la qualité diminue. Client fidèle de l'endroit depuis cinq ans nous constatons que la carte a du mal à se renouveler dans la qualité des poissons en particulier et l'ensemble au final est légèrement décevant. Service sympathique mais parfois un peu long...

03/08/2024: We had two dinners here on our trip through the Loire valley. There are few options in the village and our hotel had booked us here both nights. A great setting in the garden overlooking the Loire and the chateau. An average review in comparison to other places we visited. Food was good without being exceptional and one or two items which differed from the description on the menu be that French or English. Service OK without being as friendly or professional as other places we visited.

14/09/2024: La déco de la Salle est un peu rétro avec des tableaux très colorés et amusants.Le service est bien fait et avec le sourire. Les assiettes sont bien présentées et les plats juste assez relevés. La Tatin maison était excellente. Globalement nous avons été satisfaits : bon rapport qualité /prix. Nous y retournerons carDurtal est une halte vers notre trajet sur la côte.

08/08/2024: Where I did my apprenticeship under Monsieur Loison, famous for his Norwegian omelette, I was his last apprentice. I live in London but look forward to revisiting soon..Fabulous menu on offer, so far so good!

25/10/2023: Arrival 1 p.m. more than red meat, no vegetarian plate and the next day salmon but no more spinach... desserts the same... Well we eat a little fatty but in a group... Not to my taste
