19/06/2026: Disappointed. From the moment I walked in, the welcome seemed rather cold and unfriendly. The chicken pieces in my salad were overcooked, which spoiled part of the meal, and the service lacked warmth. It's a shame, because you can tell there's potential in the food, and I'd heard great things about this establishment. Perhaps I just caught them on an off day, but this first visit didn't convince me and unfortunately doesn't make me want to return.

07/08/2026: A difficult experience, an unfriendly welcome, we were refused a seat inside even though all the tables were empty. Our child seemed to be inconvenienced as there was no seating provided for a 3-year-old, no smaller portions available, and no children's menu. (I didn't demand anything at all; I even offered to leave because my daughter, indeed, wouldn't be able to eat an adult's portion at her age.) There was no cook, and the food seemed to have been microwaved. The quality was poor. Around us, we saw people who wanted to eat being rudely turned away. An awkward situation. Prices far too high. We obviously do not recommend this place. We were misled by previous reviews (change of ownership).

11/07/2026: A pleasant restaurant on Rue Saint-Jean. It's not fine dining, but it's a comfortable place. The waitresses are very friendly and do their best to minimize the wait time. And the setting is great.

19/08/2026: Unfortunately, the quality is far too inconsistent. Sometimes it's perfect, and other times it's a huge disappointment; pastries often lack freshness—the pastry is soggy, the icing is dull, etc. Given the prices, one has the right to expect more consistent freshness and quality.

27/08/2026: Disappointed every time: This evening at 6 PM, I bought two pastries that were very expensive compared to other places, and they looked like they were from the day before. Twice I've bought Too Good To Go vouchers, and both times I was only served bread. As a result, half of it went in the bin. I strongly advise against going there; the only convenient thing is the location.

16/07/2026: There's a workers' restaurant called "Les Gourmands" 5 minutes away where you won't be sorely disappointed. Comfort isn't found in the junk food vending machines in train station waiting rooms. Absolutely avoid it. I never usually leave reviews, but the mediocre buffet and the daily special were absolutely awful 🤮. Photo before I even touched anything!!!! Enjoy your meal

16/07/2026: Run away!! The little bit that was on the plate was really bad. The marinated chicken was completely dry... the vegetables were canned... in short, help!

10/08/2026: I've rarely been so disappointed. Usually excellent, today's takeaway pizzas were disgusting. The dough, probably frozen, was tasteless and cracked, and the toppings seemed to have been thrown on haphazardly without any cooking. If the chef is on vacation, there's no point in improvising in the kitchen; it only tarnishes your reputation and ruins my experience. Avoid at all costs.

01/08/2026: A very pleasant stop at this brasserie, lovely setting, nice terrace, quick service, very good food, very friendly staff. Much better than a motorway service area and quick to reach from the motorway exit!

15/04/2026: I'd never been to this restaurant since I started working in the area. It must have been a good place back when it was a Logis de France establishment. Now it was a bit dreary. But for the lunchtime price, it's reasonable. Quick service.

15/02/2026: We were a large group at the restaurant on a Sunday lunchtime, and the service was quite unusual. There were place cards for the children and one parent (but not for the others 😅), and the owner was rather unpleasant to the children and generally had a strange attitude. As for the food, it wasn't bad, but it was uninspired, with a lot of frozen ingredients and numerous bones in the fish. In short, the menu was overpriced for what was served. All this in a decor that had remained unchanged. We were kindly given a framed photo of our group at the end of the meal—blurry, dark, and poorly framed—but it's the thought that counts!

30/08/2026: The best DJ at La Chapelle is Lossia. No question about it. And unfortunately, she's the only one. She's the only one who plays electronic music. We just want to dance, not end up at a wedding. Killian LG. Anthony Doeli Their music choices are commercial and have no place in a club. It's a shame because La Chapelle is the place to be in terms of architecture, staff, etc... But the music is inconsistent. Bring in people who know how to mix. Big names. And Angers and La Chapelle will gain in reputation. Otherwise, we love you guys at La Chapelle.

23/08/2026: I'm a regular at dance bars and nightclubs, and I love the nightlife, but this is definitely the last time I'm going to this club! In the past year, I've only been to La Chapelle about 5 or 6 times because it's always the same story, and it's exhausting! My friends said to me tonight, "Come on, let's go to La Chapelle," and I didn't want to, for the very reason that it's always the same story... It's a shame because the place is nice, and the music is good too... But as usual, at the entrance, especially at the cloakroom, it's impossible to bring in your small handbag! Or any other belongings for that matter; there's always something! Last time I had a fanny pack, so I can understand it wasn't exactly "upscale" for the club, but this time I had a simple little crossbody bag, and they told me to leave it in the cloakroom, even though my girlfriend also had a small crossbody bag that was fine... Go figure! I think it's outrageous to force people to leave their personal belongings, like their phone or bank card, in the cloakroom for some unknown reason! A stupid rule... and we don't even know why! How are we supposed to spend money? If I don't have a pocket or bag with me, how am I supposed to get my phone or bank card to buy something?! Am I supposed to come back every half hour/hour to ask for my card from my phone in my bag in the cloakroom?! And as usual, this always happens after paying the entrance fee, so there's really no choice! Raise the entrance fee and leave us alone with our personal belongings! If people lose their keys because they've drunk too much, and if it's a matter of "prestige," then you need to rethink your standards because they're really unreasonable! The cloakroom attendant, always the same one, always so arrogant and unpleasant, doesn't even try to explain and just tells you to go see his manager. In short, La Chapelle is a nightclub trying to project an "up" image when it's just a completely ordinary nightclub... We're only in Angers! Even in Nantes (where I lived for 18 years) I never had this kind of problem! Especially when it involves customers over 30 who are drinking throughout the evening, unlike the students who come in and don't buy anything... Anyway, for that reason alone, I prefer going to other nightclubs like Le Cercle where no one judges you on your appearance or style, and where the staff is much more pleasant! Since there's now an entrance fee, I think that as a customer, I deserve at least a minimum of explanation or, at the very least, some courtesy! I hope that people who read this review will definitely steer clear of this place because it's really not worth it!

09/02/2026: Always excellent...the best Flunch I know...and the staff is always friendly. What a shame this restaurant is closing permanently to make way for a fast food place...a void in Cholet! Best of luck to the team who did their best despite the planned closure...well done to everyone and thank you!
