26/08/2024: Horrible, je n'ai jamais aussi mal manger de ma vie (63 ans quand même) . Les rillettes de saumon sont en fait des tronçons de boudin de saumon mélangés à des aromates et olives pour évincer tout goût et le poulet frites, de la farine de poulet. J'en ai mangé 2 morceaux pour être sûre que j'étais bien lucide. Une horreur! et tout ça pour un prix tout à fait normal pour un dîner dans une pseudo guinguette. J'avoue que nous n'avons pas tenté le dessert. 63€ pour 2 entrées et 2 plats innommables et un 50 cl de rosé, c'est très cher payé. A fuir en 2 mots.

11/09/2024: This was our favourite place to eat in Saumur. Everything was good. Burgers were exceptional. And pizzas from the wood oven. Staff were very friendly and patient & helpful with English speakers. Highly recommend it.

The setting is very pleasant next to the castle.

31/07/2024: A warm welcome to what for us is a truly French dining experience. As is often the case in real French restaurants, the menu is a midi formula, so only at lunchtime and in this case only Monday to Friday, first a cold buffet, a bottle of wine and water, followed by a choice of three types of meat dishes with 2 side dishes (fries or spaghetti and green beans or salad), then French cheese followed by a dessert (choice of homemade desserts or ice cream) and then coffee or tea. And all for only E15.50. The menu changes daily.
If you ever need pizza, you can go to the pizza machine 24/7.
Some knowledge of the French language is useful, even though the staff tries hard to translate.

17/07/2024: Cadre superbe, accueil très sympa, simple mais très bon, un très bon rapport qualité prix. Je recommande. Avant ou après la visite de l'abbaye de Fontevraud c'est l'idéal.
21/02/2024: Domaine au calme, nous avons déguste un repas autours de la Truffe. Repas très bon, service discret et agréable.

18/09/2024: The hotel is nicely located on a road overlooking the river Loire and you can park in the road outside. Montjean is a lovely town to walk around, particularly the river front. The room was on the small side but fine and the bath room was brand new. The evening meal in restaurant was very good, as was breakfast. The staff were all very friendly.

Une pépite sur le chemin du retour . Un grand restau, un accueil hyper gentil . Comme on avait un chien ils nous on trouvé un petit coin tranquille et lui ont donné un bol d'eau. Le repas était très bon et pour un prix dérisoire une 30 aine d'euros pour 2 et vraiment un bon repas. Je vous conseille d'aller faire un tour dans ce restau si vous n'habitez pas loin vous y retournerez c'est sûre
