18/09/2026: A warm welcome, the buckwheat cider is a delight, and the galette with oyster mushrooms and scallops is a prime example of quality, taste, and presentation. The butter galette is offered two ways to cook it: soft or crispy, almost caramelized without sugar, with a delicate, lacy texture and a pronounced buckwheat flavor. The owner, or the owner's husband, is charming and approachable, happy to talk about their products. For starters, we ordered oysters to whet our appetites. While it was a bit noisy this last time, it's no reason to go anywhere else; this is the best crêperie in Vannes, and that's a Breton's word for it.

A restaurant that warms the heart. One slight drawback (let's think of the planet and our collective survival): limited options for vegetarians.

05/10/2026: Great experience at the spa: incredibly kind and welcoming staff, and a very pleasant massage. However, a terrible customer experience with the restaurant and management: a mistake by the waitstaff regarding our menu, which was part of a "package" with the spa and should have only included a starter and main course or a main course and dessert (we weren't aware of this), but we were given a starter, main course, and dessert without even being asked our opinion. As a result, there was absolutely no flexibility at the time of payment; we had to argue for half an hour only to end up with a tiny discount. A complete lack of customer service and flexibility, especially for an error on their part. Even though I had confirmed the exact amount we would have to pay over the phone when making the reservation, we ended up having to pay more. The icing on the cake? Once we had paid (after trying for quite some time to make our point), the manager offered to refund the overpayment. Seriously? Wouldn't it have been more customer-friendly to admit your mistake from the start, take responsibility, and offer a gesture of goodwill to honor the quoted price? And how can we spare everyone this unpleasant customer experience? On another note, the meal was very ordinary, with many promises and an air of originality in the descriptions of the dishes, but very little flavor on the palate. The fish was dry and far too overcooked. Our previous experience less than a year ago was similar to the restaurant: no flexibility in modifying the menu (replacing the starter with one from the lower-priced menu) and very little flavor. We tried again, but it will be the last time!

27/09/2026: A huge thank you to all the teams for the wonderful 3 nights we spent celebrating our wedding anniversary...from the reception to the restaurant. A big thank you to the servers for their kindness and attentiveness. The breakfasts were magnificent in the beautiful veranda overlooking the pond. The rooms were beautiful and tastefully decorated. The spa is superb, as is the welcome. And the massages—what can I say? We left feeling completely relaxed after the stress of daily life. We will be back very soon, and thank you again for this magnificent setting.

27/09/2026: We set off from Beau Rivage to hike around Lake Guerlédan over two days, stopping at Le Merlin in Anse de Sordan. A stop we particularly enjoyed! Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome with complimentary draft cider and beer. We then discovered our room, which was very spacious and comfortable, with a magnificent view of the lake ❤️ The bathroom was as large as the already very spacious room. There's a shared dining area with several tables, a refrigerator, and a coffee machine with teas and coffees available. A real treat after a long day of hiking! In the evening, we enjoyed the hotel's restaurant and had a delicious meal. A very good dinner in a peaceful and welcoming setting. After a great night's sleep, we savored a hearty and delicious breakfast, again with a view of the lake—perfect for recharging before continuing our hike around the lake. Special mention to the entire team, who were incredibly pleasant and welcoming. Between the quality of the service, the restaurant, the comfortable room, the lake view, and the tranquility of the location, Le Merlin is a true haven of peace. For couples and everyone else, there's a magnificent viewpoint right in front of the restaurant. Perhaps it will inspire some marriage proposals or something similar 😂 A truly wonderful place that we wholeheartedly recommend!

11/05/2026: Nice hotel , big room and great breakfast with friendly service. Unfortunately the bottle of water was empty in my room and the sink needed some unblocking. I guess this was just bad luck.

22/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had dinner last night at the Crêperie Saint Géron in Hennebont, and it was a truly delightful experience. The dining room, overlooking the medieval ramparts, offers a magnificent setting, just steps from the historic center. The chef makes exquisite crêpes and galettes, prepared to order, with remarkable finesse. We particularly enjoyed a buckwheat galette topped with plump, flavorful scallops, as well as another with Guémené andouille sausage, generous and full of character. The service, provided by students in this small establishment with only twenty-eight seats, was absolutely top-notch: Manon, who served us that evening, was as efficient as she was welcoming. We highly recommend this restaurant, which is undoubtedly one of the best crêperies in Brittany.
