09/02/2026: I was here in 2022 during my visit to Lyon. After leaving the cathedral, I walked through this area and arrived at this square, called Pl. du Gouvernementvi. I went to this restaurant-café and had a drink. It's a very pleasant place, in this small square surrounded by beautiful buildings. The coffee is very good, it's quiet when you're there, and the service is excellent. I really enjoyed sitting there and taking in the view.

29/12/2023: Très déçus. On attendait beaucoup de ce resto. Nous n'avons pas apprécié nos plats qui ne sont pas en phase avec les prix. Le dessert la "sphère au chocolat" n'a rien de spécial (un peu trop sucré). Nous ne reviendrons pas. Trop cher pour ce que c'est. Point positif : le service et le cadre.

15/12/2024: Grosse découverte !!! Super prise en charge du staff pour un atelier cocktail ! Un shaker offert à la clef ! Le restaurant / bar est super bien décoré, un vrai petit nid Crazy douillet.

06/12/2024: Super bar et restaurant. Le personnel est adorable et très sympas ! Ils proposent des cours pour faire des cocktails 4 fois par semaine, c’est vraiment une super activité ! N’hésitez pas, je n’ai rien à redire dessus !!

09/11/2024: Soirée improvisée en amoureux sans réservation un vendredi soir! Accueil et service parfait! Les plats étaient excellent et le chef très sympa. Nous recommandons et nous reviendrons avec plaisir Bonne continuation

28/10/2024: Oserais je écrire que tout est parfait ? Oui, j'ose :-) Accueil et service attentionné avec beaucoup d'humour et toujours le sourire. Cuisine très originale et excellente. Vin de très bonne qualité. On reviendra !!!

01/09/2024: The setting is very nice. As for the restaurant, the Dinner in the Park is very pleasant but the quality/price ratio remains a little high. In fact, we get away with it for €70/person (e.g. just a thin crouton with tapenade/person to accompany the aperitifs)!

24/08/2024: We had a fantastic meal at L'Epicerie de Ginette. The carpaccio tartine was absolutely delicious. The service was warm and friendly, which meant a lot in our first night in Lyon. The wine selection is vast, and you could easily sit and eat and drink happily at this place for a long time. When we come back to Lyon, I will make sure to come back here.

07/08/2024: Difficile de choisir dans ce dédale de rues avec tous ces restaurants et toutes ces terrasses. Beaucoup sont de bouchons et certaines adresses cotées sur TripAdvisor sont fermées ce mois d août. Petite adresse sympa sans plus dans ruelle . Au menu toutes sortes de tartines agrémentées de légumes, viandes ou poissons au choix avec un petit rosé bien frais et une addition pas trop salée et digeste. Service sans trop d attention pour le client.

04/02/2026: This is a hotel I'd wanted to try for a long time, after staying at Villa Maia and Boscolo. Access by car isn't necessarily the most convenient: you park on the quayside and then have to cross cobblestone streets that make pushing the stroller with our daughter a bit bumpy. When we booked the day before, we had some issues with the online payment system, which was glitching, but we were assured by phone that the room was indeed reserved. Upon arrival, the reservation wasn't showing up, but the staff was very responsive and quickly found us a room perfectly suited for a stay with a baby. A travel cot was brought to us shortly after we settled in. We enjoyed the spa in the late evening: the pool was very pleasant and peaceful, and we also enjoyed a very relaxing visit to the sauna. Since two drinks were offered at the bar, we took advantage of them. Even though the planter's punch wasn't on the menu, Tanya didn't hesitate to make us several, which really contributed to the quality of the evening. We ordered snacks to go with our drinks: a charcuterie board, salmon, and a croque-monsieur, all quite good, with a special mention for the cream sauce that accompanied the salmon. The room was comfortable, and we had a very restful night. In the morning, we had breakfast in the courtyard in the center of the hotel: it felt like being outside while still being inside, in a truly lovely setting. The continental buffet was quite comprehensive (breads, pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, fruit juices), and the eggs Benedict were rather good. Before leaving, we made a quick stop at the gift shop in search of a Guignol puppet… we ended up leaving with the hotel's lion, which we named Léon 😊 A very pleasant experience, despite a few minor hiccups quickly resolved by attentive and efficient staff.

27/01/2026: The hotel is a beautifully renovated place, incredible bar, restaurant area, great historic common spaces! Abundant breakfast, nicely decorated rooms. You might get issues reaching the hotel because it is situated in a pedestrian area - so don’t forget to call before you arrive to get a password for entering.

27/09/2024: Ugh... Rather mixed reception, you have the impression of entering a very cold jewelry store. Tickets to go to the cash register... Anyway...meh.

26/09/2024: The salespeople are friendly, the cashiers less so…. And there’s a bit of a stuffy atmosphere…. But the quality of the products is completely up to the prices displayed.

22/10/2025: The welcome was bordering on catastrophic. Shameful to pay €18 per person when the food on the tray/buffet costs €18 in total... No merit in having the title of "restaurant".

12/09/2024: Je ne pouvais pas mettre 0 hélas, mais rarement rencontré autant de mauvaise foi… réservation prise pour 21 heures via la fourchette (21:30 était également possible). Arrivée à 20:58. Restaurant fermé… j’appelle à 20:59… “Monsieur, on nous indique que votre réservation a été annulée…”.bien entendu, elle n’avait pas été annulée (j’aurais un e-mail de la fourchette me confirmant cette annulation sinon)! Finalement, ils me disent qu’ils vont rouvrir le restaurant pour nous ! Mais quand on a tout éteint dans la cuisine, qu’on est limité couché, j’ai préféré abandonner ! Madame, Monsieur, on ne fait pas ce métier lorsqu’on qu’on est capable de fermer son restaurant alors qu’il y a une réservation confirmée… À bon entendeur!

18/08/2024: Accueil chaleureux des propriétaires. Une carte qui change tous les mois. Un nouveau et jeune chef de cuisine qui gagne à être connu et apprécié. Une cuisine raffinée ! Des desserts originaux. Le vin pour accompagner : tout à fait classe !

25/09/2024: A very good time spent at Histoire sans hunger. Delicious and refined meal, a attentive waiter in a calm and well decorated setting! We highly recommend and we will come back!

23/09/2024: great little restaurant with a team that works hard both in the kitchen and in service. Kindness, love of good work! we are in Lyon and it shows: the dishes are copious and the menu at 36€ has a starter, cheese and dessert, however nothing is left to chance, each sauce is revisited by the chef, for more finesse, everything is cooked to perfection, meats like fish and vegetables. Everyone will find themselves there: gourmets, gourmands, lovers of traditional dishes as well as the most curious, and even those in a hurry because the service is very fast even when the restaurant is full! Well done young people! and thank you for this good Sunday with family that we had.

29/09/2024: Very nice experience, Niko the server is in top form. He served us with responsiveness and humor. The dishes were very good and plentiful, we had a great time the day after the cooking. Very good truffle pizza!
