18/04/2024: Decoration redone for the Bar part since 2021 (less cocoon and fun). Clientele too international and poorly educated. Rooms identical to 2021 but very good in practical comfort and space. Restaurant service lacking flexibility. Ski Set inside and very professional staff, very flexible and adaptable to the situations of each skier unlike restaurants. Comfortable room but bathroom smelling musty because the hotel chose pretty floor tiles that retain humidity. Ideal location. Impeccable reception service and concierge. The hotel has its own parking lot. Not cheap (Val Thorens!) but very practical.

15/04/2024: This is an amazing hotel. Excellent location. Rooms are good but not cleaned properly. You have to ask for things like water, tea bags, dusty. We were a big group of vegans and vegetarians. At first reading the reviews we were disappointed to book the hotel as they were not good for restaurants. We spoke to the managers for both the restuarant and they went out of their way to make us delicious vegan food. We had small kids and they took care of their dietary requirements. Staff are excellent with amazing service. We are planning to go back next year.

16/08/2024: 2 night stay in this hotel very clean room very good breakfast but hotel in the city center, non-air-conditioned room with large view and very noisy and busy street a good welcome all the same but there was no hook at all!!! In short, we won't come back

29/08/2024: Very disappointed! To begin with, the servers are very friendly and competent. The food is good and the atmosphere is friendly. However, I am extremely disappointed by the quantity given the crazy prices, certainly we are in a big resort, well in the summer there is no one and the prices remain very high! I have never been so hungry after leaving a restaurant and honestly it ruined the moment, very unfortunate

21/08/2024: Honestly, we would have given it 2 stars if the young servers weren't there. We serve bread with mold. The waiters apologized I don't know how many times and were embarrassed but not once did the owner come to say sorry. No gesture either. We can clearly see that we are just tourists who have left so many others, it’s a shame..

17/03/2024: Very mixed evening. A good fondue despite the bread being served too cold. Table for 2 installed in the passage, adjacent to the waiter preparation station. Big negative point: broadcast of a rugby match without us being notified! Very loud TV, shouting, whistles… in short, impossible to communicate at the table. We reported this to the waiter who told us that he had not been aware of it. So be wary, if you book, it’s better to ask if there is a sports broadcast…

La ragazza che ci ha serviti ha avuto un atteggiamento equivoco e provocante con la persona che mi accompagnava, provandoci e ridendo esageratamente. Assolutamente non professionale. Io non ci metterò più piede. Per gli incontri e i flirt si aspetta la fine del lavoro. Non si fa la scema con i clienti del locale. Assolutamente fuori luogo. Alla ragazza consiglio l' utilizzo di Tinder!

03/04/2024: Very friendly and warm welcome, but our room was a little dated and the lighting and sockets are not really up to standard. Another subject, the brasserie l'Authentique where we dined with again very friendly service, served us a Savoyard fondue - more expensive than anywhere else - which must undoubtedly have been a sachet fondue from the mass market because, being Savoyard, I know how to recognize a real fondue from a ready-made one; we had the opportunity to taste another one near the hotel which had nothing to do - fortunately - with that of l'Authentique. To accompany it, we took a Chignin, unfortunately an uninteresting cooperative wine but charged €41 when two restaurants in Méribel and Mottaret offered us a Chignin from André Quénard which was an aromatic marvel at a price of €27 and €31. I imagine that most foreigners don't notice anything but I find that it harms the image of MontVallon. That being said, I would not hesitate to return to the hotel which is really very pleasant and so well located. Thank you to the whole team for their welcome and see you soon I hope. 31/03/2024: Ideally located for ski in / ski out. Staff are incredibly nice and helpful. Rooms could use an upgrade (bathrooms and lighting).

20/06/2024: We took advantage of the terrace on the last day of the season. Great atmosphere thanks to the DJ. Accessible free of charge by chairlift (pedestrian). There was only the snack bar open but it was good!

08/09/2024: Après une course en vélo nous avons voulu déguster une glace en terrasse. Les glaces sont trop chers… même pour des glaces artisanales. 3 boules 9,50€ 4 boules 10,50. C’est encore plus cher qu’en bord de mer…. Il y a une semaine nous étions à Saint Gilles à la réunion, glace 3 boules artisanales 7€50…. Ne vous faites pas avoir.

01/09/2024: Nul à fuir accueil téléphonique de la patronne déplorable, À l’arrivée aussi accueillante que moche ! Vous n’êtes pas arrivé que l’on vous fait comprendre qu’il va falloir vite partir! Grosse arnaque st Marcelin rôti à 22 euro qui est en fait une salade qui baigne dans l’huile avec 2 toast de chèvre fondus au micro onde. Il y a de beaux endroits comme le bistro 1951 signe d’un restaurant le beau rivage n’a vraiment rien de beau à part le cadre ! Attrape touristes ! A fuir !!! Chère patronne remettez vous en question pas de quoi faire la fière et apprenez à parler au téléphone lors des réservation ! Christine

11/08/2024: Not very expensive restaurant with lots of choice, the dishes are ok and nourishing. I recommend the tartiflette and the fondue, they are worth their price. Open on Monday, probably the only restaurant open on Monday in the village.

01/09/2024: Everything to have a good time with friends or family. A quiet renovated terrace. Good pizzas and burgers, a large selection of drinks and beers. darts, billiards, table football, broadcast of matches. The manager is undertaking numerous renovations in a place which has been bathed in its own juice for over 20 years. Well done to the whole team 👍

29/05/2024: +ve Amazing place the music, dancing and atmosphere is super. -ve We were in the vip area, and we paid a lot. However, unnecessary cheating in our bill, they add 100 euro charge for the power bank that they put on the table and we didn't ask for, it was a shame, I was there many times this is the 1st time, I was scamed.

14/05/2024: Probably the most disrespectful experience of my life. Showed up on 3/31/2024 and were met with a horrible experience, including: 1. Having the staff stand behind the bar and almost refuse to serve us, despite being open 2. Pretending to not speak English (you are a bartender at Folie Douce…) 3. Refusing to get the shot ski when requested because it is “too far away” 4. Cheering us out of the establishment when we left Made a lot to effort to make it to the bar and was disgusted with the treatment. What a joke. UPDATE: Email to their team was ignored entirely, took no responsability for the poor treatment of me and my friends.

15/08/2024: Très joli petit restaurant avec une belle et grande terrasse., jolie vue. Très belles assiettes , nous nous sommes régalés ce midi. Excellent rapport qualité prix ( entre 16 et 18€, c’est moins cher que quasi tous les autres restos de la station). Personnel très sympathique et souriant, à aussi pensé à nous apporter une gamelle d’eau fraîche pour notre 🐶, au top.
