22/03/2024: Very nice gastronomic address. High-level meals with quality products. A faultless one. The very professional service is to be highlighted as much as the rest! The icing on the cake: the digestive dessert “Le Crapok”. A most refreshing sorbet drizzled with a hint of gènepi. To be taken!

14/02/2024: Tres belle endroit bien décoré. Malheureusement dans le verre a vin un depot de vin rouge alors que j ai prisdu blanc. Pour la dorade qui etait au menu, je la pensais entiere car pas écrit filet de dorade. De plus soit disant sauce passion j aurais plus dit "sauce citron". Et pour courronner le tous la responsable n a même pas demander si le repas etait bon. Pas demander de café, Vraiment déçus . Je regrette.

07/06/2024: Back in December, I made the grave mistake of dining at La Joyeuse Fondue, a name that couldn’t be more misleading. Here I am, months later, still reeling from the horrendous experience. This place left such a bad taste in my mouth that I feel compelled to warn others about the culinary catastrophe that awaits them. From the moment I stepped inside, I was assaulted by a nauseating stench. Imagine the scent of old gym socks mixed with sour milk and despair. It was so overpowering that it nearly drove me back out the door, but my hope for a warm, comforting fondue experience convinced me to stay. Big mistake. The fondue, if you can even call it that, was a disgrace. It was watery, a bizarre neon yellow, and tasted like a blend of melted plastic and disappointment. The consistency was atrocious – instead of clinging to the bread, it ran off like water, leaving me with soggy, flavorless bites. It looked like someone had mixed school glue with yellow food coloring and decided to serve it as fondue. The taste was just as bad as the appearance. Bland, rubbery, and utterly devoid of any cheesy goodness, it was like eating a bad science experiment. Each bite was worse than the last, and it took every ounce of willpower to continue eating, hoping it might get better. Spoiler: it didn’t. The service was equally atrocious. Our waiter seemed to be in on the joke, treating our complaints with a dismissive shrug and an infuriating, “That’s just how our fondue is.” No apology, no offer to make it right – just pure indifference. It was as if he knew how bad the food was but couldn’t care less. The ambiance did nothing to help. The dim lighting couldn’t hide the grime and disrepair of the place. It felt like dining in a forgotten basement, adding to the overall feeling of neglect and disappointment. The only thing that lingered longer than our disgust was the awful smell that clung to our clothes, reminding us of the nightmare we’d endured. It’s now June, and I’m still haunted by the memory of that dreadful night at La Joyeuse Fondue. This place is a blight on the restaurant scene, a disgrace to fondue, and a cruel joke on anyone unfortunate enough to dine there. If I could give zero stars, I would. Avoid this place like the plague – your taste buds and your sense of smell will thank you.

How you lured me in with promises of delightful molten cheese and convivial dining, only to subject me to a gastronomic horror so vile, I wondered if I'd wandered into a medieval dungeon's slop trough. From the moment the fondue pot arrived at our table, bubbling ominously like a witch's brew, I sensed doom. The aroma that wafted up was a noxious cloud—a potent mix of sour milk, burnt rubber, and what I can only describe as the scent of despair. My nose recoiled in self-defense, and I should have taken the hint to flee immediately. The cheese itself, if one could still call it that, had the consistency of coagulated sludge. It clung to the bread cubes like a death grip, refusing to let go as if it too wished to escape its grim fate. Each bite was a struggle against this viscous monstrosity, the cheese stretching in grotesque, sinewy strings that snapped back with the vigor of a malicious spirit. The taste—oh, the taste—was a cacophony of culinary abominations. Imagine a cocktail of expired dairy, fermented gym socks, and a hint of despair. It coated my tongue with a greasy film that no amount of water could cleanse. Every mouthful was a fresh assault, each worse than the last, until my taste buds staged a full-scale rebellion. To make matters worse, the accompaniments were as ghastly as the main attraction. The bread was stale, possibly sourced from the ruins of a forgotten civilisation. By the end of the night, I was left not only with a sense of profound regret but also a stomach churning with the fury of a thousand curdled nightmares. Le Joyeuse Fondue is not merely a bad dining experience; it is a portal to a gastronomic underworld from which few return unscathed. In summary, if you cherish your palate, your dignity, and your sanity, stay far, far away from Le Joyeuse Fondue. It's a descent into a cheese-infested abyss, and trust me—it's an experience better left untouched.

When on top of that we advance you and come to take the order at the bar you tell us that you are arriving queneni. Anyway, review your organization or take vitamins 😂🤌🏼

24/09/2024: Dinner Friday September 20. Out of 6 people, 3 were sick. The cause? The meat of Beef Tataki and Crying Tiger. How is this possible after so much attention, what if someone had any allergies, we ask, etc...? Not to mention that this tasteless fusion cuisine was really not good. Too bad because the place had charm and the owner was attentive.

13/08/2024: En gros, Nous avions pris une navette vers 20h. Sachant que les derniers transports pour rentrer à l'appart de location était à 23h... 3h... Largement le temps de manger tranquillement en principe vous en conviendrez... même le temps d'aller boire une bière en terrasse et visiter un peu... GROSSIÈRE ERREUR !!!! Je vous le jure ! C'était presque une prise d'otages ! Après qu'ils aient pris nos commandes, c'était au minimum 30mns d'attente entre chaque plat !... Comme si cela ne suffisait pas, ils se sont trompés à plusieurs reprises (donc le compteur des fameuses 30mns retombait à 0) Sans compter qu'on est à la montagne, La plupart des plats commandés étaient donc à base de fromage et de patates... Et comme par magie, ILS N'AVAIENT PLUS DE PATATES !!!! Pensez vous qu'ils auraient eu la présence d'esprit de nous proposer autre chose ?! Ou au moins de nous faire une réduction pour nous apporter que la moitié de nos plats ?!... BIEN-SÛR QUE NON !!!! M'apercevant du temps qui passait inexorablement et sachant que nous n'aurions plus de bus pour rentrer, Je décide d'aller moi même chercher les desserts au comptoir et de payer l'addition à l'avance pour ne pas perdre plus de temps... Et devinez quoi... La femme du comptoir était en train de discuter avec ses copines... Après avoir signalé ma présence elle m'a carrément ignorer, J'ai attendu 20mns debout devant elles avec ma carte bleue à la main avant de péter un câble ! Je précise que je suis plutôt du genre discret habituellement, et que jamais je n'avais fais de scandale en 40 années d'existence (Et j'espère vraiment que c'est la 1ere et dernière fois ) J'ai hurlé sur tout le monde : "Soit vous m'encaissez IMMÉDIATEMENT, soit je me barre sans payer ! A vous de voir !!!" "Et vous avez de la chance que je sois honnête et que je vous le dise !!!" Car ce matin en écrivant ces lignes, je me demande si j'ai bien fait d'être réglo car je n'ai pas eu le temps de manger mon dessert à cause de leurs négligence !!! C'était plus une prise d'otages qu'un repas, Ils nous ont volé à mon neveu, mon frère et moi-même 3h de notre vie... 2 points positifs : 1 : il y avait au moins un serveur sur les trois qui avait l'air d'avoirs les neurones connectés et qui arrivais à percuter. Un blond à cheveux longs qui ce reconnaîtra (Merci à toi poto, et surtout bon courage à toi pour la suite) 2 : Avant de partir, La femme du comptoir me dit qu'il m'est interdit de remettre les pieds dans son établissement ... J'ai alors ri aux éclats C'était le seul moment amusant de la soirée 🤣 Je lui ai dis qu'elle n'avait aucun souci a ce faire a ce sujet.

08/08/2024: Apart from the first class service I have enjoyed for many years staying in Courcheneige, I had an incident on my last trip in March 2024 while skiing. I stayed a night in Albertville Hospital. I was traveling on my own. The support my family in uk and I received from Hotel in particular the hotel manager Mr Yannick Aubry, was second to none. Very much appreciated.
