26/08/2026: We were looking for a place to have lunch that would also accept our small dog, and thanks to Google Maps, we stumbled upon the Auberge de Cousteau. It's a real gem we discovered; we were delighted. The welcome was very friendly. The dishes are generous and delicious, made primarily with fresh, homemade ingredients, such as the duck. The foie gras is to die for, and the value for money is exceptional. It's truly a fantastic place that I highly recommend.

14/08/2026: We recently ate at Le Puits Saint-Jacques and, unfortunately, left quite disappointed. We knew the restaurant lost a Michelin star, and we can see why. The flavors lacked depth and, overall, there was nothing particularly memorable about the dishes. What disappointed us most was the reaction when we shared our thoughts with the chef at the end. If you ask your guests how they enjoyed the meal, you also have to be willing to hear honest feedback. A little more humility and openness would have made a big difference. The service also got off to a slow start. We waited about 25 minutes just to get water and our aperitifs. The sommelier also brought us the wrong bottle of wine. We noticed after he had opened it, and of course he changed it for the correct bottle, but it was another detail that added to the overall disappointment.

We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves; it was a truly wonderful family moment. If you're ever in Auch, this is the place to try Gers cuisine.

21/07/2026: Rare are those moments when we allow ourselves a moment of pure pleasure, yet that's precisely the definition of time spent at a restaurant. It's been a long time since I've had such a wonderful experience. We were fortunate to receive a warm welcome and guidance from the chef, one of those rare, passionate employees who made this a truly magical moment. We started with a plate of homemade ham and foie gras, followed by red mullet with peppers and confit pork loin with mashed potatoes. Next came a small tasting plate of the rare sheep's cheese, and then dessert: chocolate fondant (we've never had such delicious ones!) and Armagnac baba. I highly recommend this restaurant, and if you can, ask to see the chef! 😉 See you soon!

You can immediately taste the quality of the ingredients and, above all, the joy of cooking well. ❤️ Another big plus is their takeaway menu. It's an excellent way to enjoy their cuisine even at home, without ever feeling like you're eating the same thing over and over. The restaurant itself is also very pleasant, attractive, welcoming, and warm, with a lovely exterior that makes you want to linger over a delicious meal. A must-try in Auch, whether for a meal with family, friends, or simply to treat yourself. A fantastic welcome, homemade food, delicious dishes, and a lovely setting...
