14/09/2024: “U Paisanu, in the heart of Bastia, is a true immersion in Corsican authenticity. Located on the 1st floor of the grocery store, the restaurant offers a warm and typical room. We had the pleasure of tasting several Corsican specialties (the whole menu 😂) everything was so tempting 🤤.
The Bastiaise-style anchovies were excellent, and the ghjialadicciu was an incredible discovery. All served by a young man who was both friendly and very attentive. Before leaving, we exchanged a few anecdotes with Francis, the boss, a simple and authentic man who perfectly embodies the spirit of this place. A memorable and gourmet experience, which we recommend without hesitation!”

Fort de l'avis publié par TripAdvisor, qui date de 2012 il est vrai, nous avons réservé chez Huguette dans l'espoir de déguster une bouillabaisse. Arrivés le jour précédent à Bastia, lors d'une promenade vespérale dans le port vers 19:00 heures, en passant devant ce restaurant, nous avons consulté le menu affiché.
A notre surprise, cette bouillabaisse tant espérée n'y figurant pas, nous nous approchons d'un membre du personnel terminant la mise en place pour lui poser une une question simple : " faites-vous de la bouillabaisse ?"
A partir de cet instant nous avons assisté à une logorrhée furieuse et agressive dans laquelle figuraient les mots "plat hasbeen pour croûtons" "nous faire ch...avec ça " "touristes qui feraient mieux de rester chez eux" "ce plat n'existe plus, même à Marseille" et j'en passe. Le furieux en bavait presque ce qui inquiétait les autres passants.
Après plusieures minutes d'invectives les deux touristes que nous sommes ont compris la leçon et sont retournés chez eux sans honorer leur réservation, évidemment.
Dommage pour nous, pour Huguette et pour la Corse.
24/09/2024: Accueil très chaleureux et superbe présentation ! Je recommande vivement ce restaurant. Nous avons pris une entrée ainsi que les gambas en plat : délicieux !

17/10/2023: 3€ for a coffee shake with orgeat syrup, really killer, very fresh, balanced to perfection with a glass that is unfortunately much too small.
Impeccable service without being very friendly and talkative, the waiter had a neat and clean look about him.

16/07/2024: Super restaurant ! A volonté ! !! Belle espace, une cuisine très bonne est variée je me suis régalé ! ! 😋 La terrasse donne sur la mer évidemment très agréable ! La serveuse au petit soin et la cerise sur le gâteau l'endroit est super propre. N'hésitez pas si vous allez sur Bastia !!!! Je reviendrai avec grand plaisir !!

05/09/2024: Ordered take away burger. I'm sorry for the place, but I, who also eat stones, had to throw it away. It smelled indecently of goat, when my sandwich had no trace of it either as meat or cheese. French fries in waste oil. Anyone from a civilized place would say this is not a sandwich. I'm sorry but I'm still nauseated

14/09/2024: I am surprised that this place does not have 5 stars, I honestly hesitated to arrive because of the reviews, I arrived here because it is the closest when you get off the ferry and wait for your bus to the south of La Corsica (they leave right in front), I arrived not expecting much of the service and food and I was honestly pleasantly surprised.
Let's start with the food, it is DELICIOUS!!!! And the desserts, not to mention, were delicious, I think the photos and videos speak for themselves.
The service is excellent, the man is so helpful and kind, you can see that he loves what he does, the place has a family and friends atmosphere.
Don't be carried away by the old reviews, you are going to LOVE this place!!!
31/08/2024: We arrived late... around 2.30pm because they moved the ship for us. We stopped because it was open as many close at 2pm.
Very kindly, we sat down and ordered. The dish of the day was tagliatelle... but given the time we opted for 2 burgers. Very good, much better than the various MC and Burger King ones. The best burger I've eaten so far. The first reviews are a bit scary but it was the old management. Advised.

25/08/2024: We decided to trust Marylise and Olivier for our wedding, and we were right to do so.
Marylise was attentive and a huge help for our day.
We highly recommend the Cape for their parties but for your private parties as well.
You can go there with your eyes closed.

05/08/2024: Pizza tasted with family, it was good. Choice on the menu. Good reception by telephone and when we came to collect the order. Also very practical to have the machine 24/7, and reassuring to know what type of product is available in the machine.
16/05/2024: C’est un superbe établissement, c’est super beau et très très bon! Des plats du jours travaillés ! Le patron nous à offert à moi et mon ami un dessert en dédommagement du petit retard qu’ils on eu. Nous avons passé un très bon moment, je recommande !

17/09/2024: Two stars for service. Adorable waitress. For lunch it’s a different story. The stuffed mussels, more au gratin than stuffed, should have been offered and priced as a starter but not as a main course at 14 euros. The freshness is difficult to assess because they are super dry under the breadcrumbs and especially with six and a half mussels at the bottom of the plate, we left to finish lunch elsewhere. Of course we arrived late and the menu was half unavailable so my daughter had tuna rillettes, quite good and which was also similar to a starter but at the price of a starter, i.e. 8 euros. In short, bad experience.
