26/11/2025: The owner's behavior was completely inappropriate; she treated me as if I were her employee, not her customer. Furthermore, she cancelled my reservation at the last minute, forcing me to book a more expensive room on arrival.

16/11/2025: We went there for a show. Superb evening, perfect welcome, excellent charcuterie and cheese platters.

19/02/2026: I've been going to this café once a week for the past six years. The staff is very attentive. I recommend it for lunch; it's great for an afternoon snack. Unfortunately, they're often very busy on Saturday afternoons, so I suggest going during the week. Great atmosphere and a view of the Basilica!

14/02/2026: My girlfriend and I arrived on Valentine's Day for coffee. We'd been intrigued by this place for a while, so we decided to go in. Upon entering, you're not greeted with a menu, not even a hello, not even a smile. You just sit down and that's it. This last part is important because that's all we did in this café. Indeed, after a 25-minute wait, there was no sign of life from the waiter, even though he acknowledged our presence. I can understand it was a busy day, the place was full, and the waiters aren't robots, I mean. Nevertheless, they should at least serve people in order of arrival and not serve several groups of people who arrived 20 minutes later before us. Fortunately, Toulouse is full of much more welcoming cafés.

27/11/2024: Stop by today for a salad and a coke I open my salad, impossible to eat it Completely burnt salad...all wilted...disgusting...you can see that it's frozen from the day before that you're being served...11.00 for a coke and a salad...disgusted...I don't will come back more.

14/11/2024: When working in a business it is important to emphasize kindness, a smile, sympathy and welcome. Unfortunately a blonde lady with a strong accent, recently hired, does not have these qualities. Very unpleasant person bordering on aggressive when she served me and what's more we had the impression of disturbing her whereas when I entered the bakery she didn't seem to be very busy….Regular customer I thank her very much young apprentice for her welcome, her kindness and her professionalism.

07/02/2026: This was the first place I ate at in Toulouse. A very nice terrace with a view, especially when the sun is shining. The servers are very pleasant and the food is very good. I recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to come back if I'm ever in the area again!

16/01/2026: A very good restaurant, discovered yesterday at lunchtime. The traditional cuisine was very nice and the service impeccable. Kindness and helpfulness were also on the menu. Thank you!

13/02/2026: On the evening of February 12th, I ordered two chicken meals at this restaurant, but the impatient attitude and lack of understanding of the old man at the register greatly disappointed me. Upon returning home, I noticed that they were actually two kebab meals and that I had been overcharged by 15 euros. Thanks a lot.

I don't like to leave a negative review but we really need to review a lot of things... the coffee is undrinkable and for too high a price, the pastries are ok but nothing crazy either.. I don't understand the craze around this channel..

08/11/2024: A little outraged at the lack of delicacy of the waitress. By paying €5.45 for my slice of cake, I imagine I can afford to ask for a slice that is fresh and not dry as if it was from the day before. The waitress seems bothered by my request, but gives me a new slice anyway. Except that she doesn't hesitate to shout to her colleagues that a slice of cake is a loss, that it costs "5 bucks" and repeats it 5 times loudly enough for everyone to know... "the customer find the dry cake.” Yes, for €5.45 I hope to have a quality piece of cake. Please remain polite to the customers sitting right in front of your counter...

04/12/2025: I ordered lasagna Bolognese €12 The dish was already ice-cold (frozen to me) I microwaved it for 2 minutes, but that wasn't enough: it was still too cold in the middle, so I had to microwave it for another 2 minutes Unfortunately, the quality of the meal wasn't worth what I paid

27/12/2025: Paris comes to Brasserie Le Capoul Dec 2025 • Friends 4 December 2025, reservation for 2 @ 20:00. Arrived, restaurant empty apart from two solo diners. Three serving staff, one in a black shirt, polite and welcoming. Two others who appeared to be in high spirits and excited in each other’s company as judged by there constant giggling. Ordered a bottle of wine from the wine list, ‘sorry we don’t have any in stock’, ordered a different label. Both ordered the beef (39€). Waited, no water, no bread, needed to ask for both, in a restaurant with 4 diners. The beef was served on a flat rectangular wood/ceramic plate, with a bowl of fries and a miniature saucepan with a sauce. When one of the dishes was served, it was placed on the napkin therefore the juices from the beef spilled onto the tablecloth: no apology or attempt to clean the mess. Beef good but not special, soup bowl of fries soggy and greasy. Other diners arrived , table’s of 6/3/2 . When orders taken the 2 servers disappeared from the dinning room. Sitting by the window we could see the two (not the black shirt) sitting in the adjacent shop doorway smoking. When the finished plates were removed from the table, once again the beef juices were tipped onto the table cloth leaving a large stain. Maybe the serving plates were too heavy for the server to carry properly, but again no concern or apology offered. Having received poor unprofessional, disorganised service I decided a gratuity was not merited. When I asked for the check I also asked if service was included, I was told ‘NO’. I then explained that we were vey disappointed with the poor service and had service been included we would request this was deducted from the total. I was presented with the check, and I paid. A week later when sorting through receipts and credit card slips I read the receipt from the restaurant which seemed to have been cropped. For interest, the following day when passing the restaurant, I checked the menu and a service charge of 13% WAS INCLUDED!! What the server had given to me was the provisional bill and not the receipt after payment as I now understand that the receipt after payment clearly states if a service charge is included. I have been a resident and visitor to Toulouse for more than 30 years. My French is good but I still have strong first language accent. Brasserie Le Capoul, is a lovely dinning room and bar. Once the restaurant was elegant, professional with a solid classic menu and an excellent kitchen; those days and values have long since disappeared. So my question is why was I treated in such a disgusting manner by two of the three servers? Was I assumed to be a just an old stupid tourist with a funny French accent or due to the apparent lack of supervision is this a regular occurrence with foreign national diners? So this treatment of clients, extensively reported upon in respect of some Parisian establishments, of being blatantly dishonest with diners (tourists), presumably for the sole purpose financial gain. The question is should this be considered ‘theft’ or just unfortunate! As we left we saw the giggling duo once again, outside smoking cigarettes: a classy restaurant or something else? I would suggest to just visit the interior of the restaurant for a coffee/ drink or a midday special menu, however I will never recommend or return.

14/12/2025: It's 20 years since I've dined at Le Capoul. Much changed: staff informally dressed; no pyramids of fruits de mare. A sign of the changing times. Still very good, but so much competition nearby.

14/02/2026: We went to eat as a family today around 2 pm. Given the crowd at the entrance, we split up to find a place to eat (two children and two adults went upstairs) while we waited for our order, before the upstairs area closed due to overcrowding. Once we received our order (after about 15 minutes, which is normal given the number of people), we wanted to go upstairs, but the woman in charge of security turned us away, even though we explained that we were going upstairs to meet our family. She wouldn't listen and redirected us to a manager who was in the middle of a rush (about thirty people were waiting at the entrance). Once this problem was resolved, we started serving the food. Three portions of Wavy Fries were missing, so we went to ask for them, but we were practically brushed off with the response, "That's impossible." So we told him he could go check if he wanted, to which he ultimately didn't reply and instead prepared what we were missing. I completely understand that during peak hours it's difficult to manage the crowds both in the kitchen and the dining room, but every interaction we had with the staff was utterly unprofessional. We won't be back.

12/02/2026: The staff were very unpleasant, the security guard was nasty! And the atmosphere in the kitchen is questionable…

17/12/2024: fast food was pretty good 2 or 3 years ago unfortunately the quality of the products and the tastes have continued to decline unfortunately....

16/12/2024: The kebabs are indeed small but loaded, if you are not a bear it will be more than enough to provide for you. And as if it wasn't all the meat and the fries are delicious. And contrary to what other people say, the staff is respectful and the restaurant is clean. I would say 18/20 because it was lukewarm, otherwise excellent.

06/07/2025: Too bad that Pizza Arlequin has to close. I hope that someone as good as the former owner can take over the pizzeria.

17/02/2026: Emma made four pizzas for me and my colleagues, "Little Italy" and "Mielina." The pizzas were delicious and generous; I felt like I was traveling all over southern Italy with just one meal. Emma is friendly, kind, and always smiling. I highly recommend her.

17/02/2026: 11/10!!! I could taste the love in these pizzas, and it's rare that I taste anything other than the ingredients in what I eat! Thank you, Emma!! Besides serving us with a smile the whole time, she made incredible pizzas. See you soon, and thanks again!
