18/08/2026: A truly deplorable experience at Barajo Lumière Café. After waiting for 30 minutes, I finally decided to ask how to place my order. I simply said "hello" to an employee, who didn't even bother to reply and coldly told me, frowning, "I'm not the one who takes orders," without indicating who did or even who I should ask. Such a cold and dismissive welcome, after already waiting half an hour, is truly unacceptable. No smile, no explanation, no guidance, no effort to help the customer. One can understand that there might be a wait or that an employee isn't responsible for taking orders. However, the very least they could do is respond politely and tell the customer how to proceed. A very bad impression, absolutely unprofessional service, and a catastrophic customer experience. I definitely do not recommend this establishment and I will not be returning.

09/08/2026: A superb, authentic place with a great atmosphere… On Sundays, there's a jazz/blues concert. We had some delicious cod fritters… And best of all, they were made on-site. Highly recommended!

30/08/2026: I went there tonight with my partner. We arrived when the band was literally finishing playing. We ordered 2 cocktails ( 1 mojito+ 1 caipirinha) with a very nice waitress wearing beige shorts , beige top , dark wavy hair. When we wanted to order another round of drinks around 2330, it was another waitress wearing blue jeans shorts , beige t- shirt, white trainers , with a braid, around , so we asked her if we could order some drinks . She told us the table service was finished , to order at the bar & to take the opportunity to pay ! My partner went to the bar to order and paid the bill. After a few min , her colleague served a table at the sand in a hexagonal table. A few min later 4 young ladies, arrived , they were seat at the stage in a table of 4. They were Also served despite we were told the table service was finished . After that , the same staff that told us , the table service was finished , she served a table at the left of the bar in the sand . I didn't want to stay after that because , staff clearly discriminate clients , choosing who they want to do table sevice. The opening hours online said that would close at 1am only . Plus we do not need a clueless girl to remind us to pay , because obviously we would not forget to pay our bill! I'm not sure what type of people she deals with but I advise her to be careful when judging others ! She needs to learn to be less judgemental and be a bit more professional. I certainly won't came back, ever .

29/08/2026: Very mixed feelings, although the food was good, I came with my family and we were ignored for 10 minutes (while at least 5 waitresses walked past us) we had to turn around.

22/07/2026: Excellent restaurant, with a very warm welcome and lovely traditional decor...we've eaten in several times and ordered takeout, always top-notch, always delicious, and excellent value for money...I should mention that I'm vegetarian and they also have vegan options...We highly recommend this place 👍😊

19/04/2026: I must admit I was very surprised by the high nutritional quality of this takeaway meal for €10. You get meat, rice, a nice little salad, three spring rolls, and chicken—all for €15! Honestly, I guarantee you it was delicious. I highly recommend it. You'll receive excellent service; the woman is very friendly and helpful, and the gentleman in the kitchen is very kind. Believe me, I'll be back to eat at your place.

26/08/2026: A cold welcome on top of the not-so-warm outside temperature. We're still looking for the 4-star rating in the reviews. To begin with, we were asked if we wanted to eat on the terrace facing the canal or on the regular terrace. Then, in the end, there was no choice. Because the tables set weren't the ones facing the canal, and they didn't want to set them for the arriving customers. Then, an unfriendly waitress who criticized customers as they left and spent her time complaining. The peach syrup is a challenge; try to find the peach in your glass. The starter was mediocre, €8 for half a plate. The charcuterie platter came from a Super U supermarket tray. Not worthy of an "Italian" restaurant. The goat cheese platter was good, but there was only one goat cheese croquette. The main courses were also mixed. The pasta carbonara wasn't carbonara. Just pasta with cream (very little) and bacon bits straight from a tray, barely cooked. Luckily, there was salt and pepper on the table to season it. It was better than it had been straight from the kitchen. And we were glad we had some because the table next to us didn't and asked for ours. The second course wasn't any better. Goat cheese and speck ham cannelloni. Without speck. Three tiny pieces of ham with fat practically fighting each other and tasteless goat cheese. You mostly taste the accompanying tomato sauce. It was also unpleasant to have our plates taken away as soon as we finished. A little more and they would have taken it away before we could even take the last bites. Philippe Etchebest should come and give cooking and service lessons. Because seeing the waiters and cooks go outside to smoke in front of you during service should not be acceptable. Nor a waitress who was unpleasant and turned away customers, practically shoving them from their tables. Even though there were still seats available and it was only 12:30 PM. Luckily, a waiter in a pink polo shirt raised the bar and the bill.

25/08/2026: Excellent little restaurant. Passing through for the holidays, the macaronade was fantastic. The service was also excellent. We'll be back.

10/07/2026: Hello Very nice place, but unfortunately the blonde woman's welcome and lack of respect are a shame for the place. As a woman, I asked if it was possible to use the restroom, and was refused, told that it was reserved for customers. I politely understood and went to get my wallet from the car to buy something so I could use the restroom. However, I added that this was the first time I'd experienced anything like this while on vacation in France, and that I didn't expect it from a woman. She started getting angry, telling me that she pays for the water, cleans the restrooms, and provides toilet paper, and that this isn't for people who don't buy anything. It's a shame to work in a commercial place in the middle of summer with so many tourists if you're not suited for the job. I left this review solely because of the reception I received from this woman; unfortunately, I just happened to encounter her. I don't want to criticize anything else because, sadly, I haven't actually tried it and it doesn't make me want to. Have a good day.

27/05/2026: A very pleasant surprise! We had lunch there on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed it! The portions were very generous, the service impeccable, and the price reasonable. I highly recommend it.

09/08/2026: An incredible Turkish restaurant. The vegetables are picked by the owners from their own garden, and you can taste the difference. Fresh produce with a wonderful flavor. The meat is tender. I highly recommend this establishment.
