01/03/2026: The fries are always cold here, but we often go when we're shopping because we like burgers. Our order was delivered without one burger, and no one told me. I had to go and ask, and they told me it was made to order (a McCrispy for my husband). Almost 15 minutes later, it arrived cold. In the meantime, I had already eaten my burger, which was also cold. They offered to make it again, but I refused. So I was refunded for the burger, not for the meal, just for the burger—and what's more, the refund was insufficient since they refunded me for the wrap and not the burger. I got a half-hearted "sorry," but basically, it was clear that no one cared. I won't be going back.

05/02/2026: I ordered McFlurry ice creams, one with caramel Kit Kat and the other with chocolate Kit Kat, and I got plain ones. Things aren't getting any better at the beginning of February; there are only problems like this!

07/12/2025: If you ever want to know what the multiverse looks like where McDonald's messed up, stop by the McDonald's in Albaret-Sainte-Marie. It looks like the never-finished beta version, or a McDonald's ordered on Temu with a 45-day delivery time. First off, the Croc McDo? Apparently, it lives in the same dimension as unicorns and winning Euromillions tickets, because it doesn't exist here. The McFlurry? It's a local myth. They should put up a sign saying "Imaginary product, please dream elsewhere." Then there are the orders… It's like there's a raffle going on in the kitchen: "Today, in this gentleman's bag, we'll slip… ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING!" You pay for a large milkshake, you leave with a tiny one the size of a thimble and the texture of a depressed iceberg. Impossible to drink: you pull on the straw like you're trying to siphon reinforced concrete. Taste-wise? Well… crushed ice, a real disappointment. In short, this McDonald's isn't a McDonald's: it's the tutorial phase of a cosmic intern discovering fast food. Maybe one day they'll unlock the real recipes. Until then… hang in there.

27/11/2025: We pass through the La Garde rest area twice a month (Tesla charger required). McDonald's is usually full or half full. There's hardly any wait on those occasions, the staff is friendly, and the food is good (keeping in mind it's McDonald's, of course). Today we stopped by on our way back to Paris. The restaurant was deserted: an opportunity for a crew member to diligently scrub the tables and seats with sponges, a scraper, and a lot of effort. Kudos to the team for their hygiene and for maintaining their restaurant, and all my encouragement to the "workaholic" who earned his daily pay and will sleep well tonight. Sincerely
