The staff is kind, friendly, and energetic, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We had a wonderful meal: the dishes were generous, excellent, and truly delicious. 10/05/2026: We were invited to stay overnight here while walking the Camino de Santiago. We received a super friendly welcome, and the room was very nice and clean. Dinner was delicious, and the staff's attentiveness was unparalleled. My wife is a vegetarian, which wasn't a problem when ordering, and she was even asked if she would like something different for dessert because the regular one contains gelatin! We can absolutely recommend this place!!!

08/05/2026: We were tired and dreaming of a little coffee to perk us up for the rest of the GR70. Darn! Le Recantou seemed closed, but… not quite! They welcomed us despite the “exceptional closure” and treated us like royalty! Hats off to the hospitality! Have a great season, everyone, and thanks again!

07/05/2026: The chef was welcoming, but the waitress was unpleasant and didn't listen to the customers, even though there were few people. Don't expect much from her. Customers just have to behave themselves. The menu and prices weren't displayed. Expensive considering the quality of the food and service.

19/11/2025: A small, authentic restaurant where the owner deserves support. The value for money is excellent: you really get your money's worth! The pizzas are delicious, and the traditional menu beautifully showcases the region. You can taste the hard work, dedication, and desire to do things well in every dish. A simple, genuine place where you eat very well. Kudos to the owner for his commitment.

24/08/2025: If you're staying in the annex, forget about a 4-star hotel. The room, priced at €175 per night (without breakfast), is absolutely not worth that price—€140-150 maximum, and even then, considering the region. Nothing about it suggests the advertised standard: • Very dirty carpet, old and damaged furniture, stained sheets. • Outdated bathroom, with only a small bar of soap, two cardboard cups, cheap towels, and a leaky showerhead. • An obsolete hairdryer that doesn't even blow hot air. The first room we were offered was so unacceptable that we had to ask for another! And to top it all off: the advertised payment methods are misleading. The website states that holiday vouchers are accepted, but once you arrive, they tell you that in reality, only paper vouchers are accepted, not electronic ones. A practice that is borderline illegal and completely unacceptable. ❌ This establishment is neither a 4-star hotel nor a castle. Absolutely avoid it.

24/04/2026: A truly beautiful establishment. The room is spacious, and the complimentary toiletries (shampoo from La Ferme du Bergognon and biscuits from Biscuiterie Marius d'Altier) are delightful. The bedding is comfortable, and the rooms are very pleasant with a magnificent view of Altier. Simon's cuisine is refreshing and delicious, featuring fresh, high-quality ingredients. The menu changes according to his inspiration and the seasons. The welcome is personalized and friendly. I highly recommend it. A wonderful discovery.

04/05/2026: The room was a bit dated. The hairdryer didn't work. That said, it was comfortable. The bedside lamps were a little dated. As for the service, no complaints: it was spotless and the staff were very pleasant. The location, close to the center of Florac yet quiet, is perfect. And the grounds are lovely. It's a shame the pool wasn't open.

08/04/2026: Nice for the regulars at the bar, horrible for tourists or anyone else. The owner pets her dogs and then puts her fingers in the glasses before serving you 🤢🤮 The employees yell at each other in front of the customers, and I got hit with a table because "we're in a hurry." No apology whatsoever. Half-full glasses. The waiter is nice, though; I hope he finds a better job someday. It wasn't even very good. I've tried every restaurant in town, and this is the last place I'd ever go back to. Same for my friends

08/04/2026: Dirty, deplorable organization, poor value for money. I never leave reviews on Google, but this one deserves it. The location in front of the cathedral is the only positive point of this restaurant. The owners don't deserve such an establishment.
