06/08/2026: We thoroughly enjoyed the individual vegetable tarts and the open-faced sandwiches, which were truly excellent. Perfect for a picnic on the Tarn River. The baguette was also very good. I was also able to bring back some local honey at a very reasonable price. I can't wait to try it! Thank you 😁

11/04/2026: Central location with parking. Generous and delicious charcuterie platter. Fully stocked dining room, quick service. Excellent main course. Don't miss it.

29/06/2026: Absolutely no business sense. I was perfectly clear in my complaint regarding an error or misunderstanding with my order, and yet they have the nerve to tell me never to return to this establishment, which I will gladly do. (Hasbi Allah wa ni'mal wakil)

05/08/2026: We discovered the address in the tourist office brochure, which advertised a set menu for €24! Imagine our surprise when we paid €70 for lunch for two, including a charcuterie and cheese platter priced at €20 and a 50cl bottle of wine at €18! Even though the charcuterie and cheese were good, the prices are outrageous considering the lack of preparation! Only the name sounds appealing; the rest seems like a tourist trap. €35 for an average bill is ridiculous; they need to get real!

08/06/2026: The hotel boasts an absolutely magnificent setting, both the château and the garden, with views of the beautiful Margeride region. Regarding amenities, breakfast is rather expensive, but the service and selection of products are commensurate with the price. Having stayed in the Orangerie annex, we found the accommodations more basic but nonetheless clean and functional, with very comfortable beds. As for dining, we were unpleasantly surprised to find the château's restaurant closed without prior notice, despite having a reservation. However, a solution was found with another establishment offering good value for money.

29/04/2026: A splendid, elegant, and refined setting, ideal for a wonderful experience. The cuisine is a true delight: creativity, finesse, and refinement. Sophisticated dishes, beautiful flavor combinations, and superb ingredients on the plate. Pleasant service and perfectly paced dining. A successful gastronomic experience from beginning to end. A truly excellent restaurant in Lozère, well worth discovering.

10/05/2026: We were invited to stay overnight here while walking the Camino de Santiago. We received a super friendly welcome, and the room was very nice and clean. Dinner was delicious, and the staff's attentiveness was unparalleled. My wife is a vegetarian, which wasn't a problem when ordering, and she was even asked if she would like something different for dessert because the regular one contains gelatin! We can absolutely recommend this place!!!

05/07/2026: The hotel is incredibly charming, with a genuine sense of hospitality. I highly recommend the restaurant, where you can discover local produce, and the very generous breakfast. We'll be back!

06/07/2026: Pleasant inn. The lunch menu was very well prepared and reasonably priced. The staff was helpful and the service was quick. Lovely terrace. Spacious and tastefully decorated room. Locally sourced toiletries provided. I recommend this establishment.

28/06/2026: At L'Arbre à Pain, we discovered a real gem in Altier. A warm and personalized welcome, attentive staff, delicious cuisine with excellent, generous, homemade dishes (kudos to the chef!), and a pleasant setting under a leafy pergola. In short, all the ingredients for a great time are there. We will gladly return.
