03/09/2025: We've been here several times, and this lunchtime was a real treat. Delicious food made with fresh produce. Homemade, which is becoming rare. 13/12/2024: I had taken mom to please her, we had a treat, we had sauerkraut but the chestnut sausage, the cabbage had a taste of old, the hard smoked sausage with a thick skin, we left the cabbage, the breast aside, we took a little fries they were good then a gourmet coffee it was very disappointed even though we had known it for years it changed the waitress without a smile the desserts were made with a secretary lacking staff the hair not tied up which was flying everywhere..mom was in front of her warned another lady who came to see us...I was disappointed for mom too bad we ate there well before

11/12/2024: We came for dinner this Monday, December 9, a table of 4 people, we were delighted with our evening in this restaurant, we come a few times a year to the tavern, and as usual very pleasant staff and a choice varied between the menu and the menu, we enjoyed ourselves, a restaurant to recommend 👍👍

28/06/2025: We went to eat there and it's definitely worth avoiding. If you want to eat in 10 minutes, you're in the right place. Everything was supposed to go very quickly, 5 minutes to choose your drink, we got our dishes when we had just started the aperitif. The waitress asked us if we were finished while we were eating. The dessert menu was offered but in negative form so we wouldn't have any, and the coffees were the same. And frankly, nothing special in their dishes. There are much better in Saumur. First and last time for me. The staff, we don't talk about it!! And we felt watched.

10/06/2025: I had the opportunity to discover fouées there. The assortment of fillings was perfect: bacon, black pudding, mogette beans, cream, goat cheese.

05/11/2025: The food was very good, the service was fast, and the waiters were very friendly.

19/10/2025: The maxi mixed kebab is not so maxi, it's a shame. The meat is tasteless. The cake is very badly rolled, nothing holds together. The cheese inside is goat cheese!! It's better to use Kiri or cheddar... really not great but very well located.

07/07/2025: A discovery for us on Saturday evening. And honestly, it was a lovely surprise. I'll start with the small downside: a bit of a wait, but it's so worth it! Everything is delicious, well-prepared, and fresh. We tried the €55 "menu" for two, which offered a wide range of delicacies to enjoy! We met the chef, who was lovely, as was the rest of the team. We'll definitely come back or get takeout.

07/06/2025: I recommend this restaurant. The quality/price ratio is fair, the food is fresh, flavorful, and the portions are generous. And the wasabi is just right in the sushi.

09/12/2025: Delicious croque-monsieur with lots of flavor! Homemade food right in front of Saumur train station! Convenient!

14/08/2025: RUN AWAY. Last Monday, it was 35 degrees. I went into this sandwich shop (where I've been eating for 14 years, often being in transit in Saumur) and asked for a cup of tap water. The manager refused, and I explained that it was mandatory (https://www.service-public.fr/particuliers/vosdroits/F22387). It didn't work; he spoke to me while pointing his knife at my nose. I then told him (I was almost begging at this point) that my cat was getting dehydrated (she was panting, I was very worried), but he didn't care at all. He scared me a little by continuing to wave his knife at me, so I left. Luckily, the lady at the station relay (where I usually avoid going to keep small businesses like 2 minutes d'arrêt running) helped me out! Positive point: this is only the second time in my life that I have been refused tap water (the last time was in Paris)
