10/05/2026: May 9, 2026... After much hesitation, we finally decided to step inside La Comédie. Located right next to the theater and just 5 minutes from the casino, we received a very warm welcome from the friendly and smiling manager. Seated in the restaurant's second dining room, we loved the warm and modern decor. And what can we say about the food... A true delight! 😊 We opted for the €34 set menu, featuring excellent quality ingredients, all homemade by the chef. We thoroughly enjoyed it... truly wonderful flavors. La Comédie also offers a €26.50 set menu and à la carte dishes. Completely won over by this first dinner, we won't hesitate to return. So, go for it at La Comédie... You can tell he listens to his employees, which is rare in the restaurant industry! I highly recommend this place!

15/05/2026: The welcome was warm, and the staff friendly and welcoming; however, after ordering a grilled andouillette sausage with fries and a beef tartare, we were disappointed. The andouillette arrived sliced ​​lengthwise with a chewing gum texture that crumbled into rounds, along with bits of fries. As for the tartare, it wasn't tartare at all. As a tartare lover, I've never eaten one so spicy with no real beef flavor, especially since they only served it pre-prepared (no choice!). After expressing our disappointment to the manager, we received the response: "That's your taste, not mine!" As a gesture of goodwill, he offered us complimentary aperitifs.

15/04/2026: The best restaurant in every respect that I've been to in the Saumur region for several years. Professional and friendly service, refined and creative cuisine (a touch more side dishes perhaps?), a warm and cozy atmosphere—what more could you ask for! I'm very critical and always find something to criticize, but here, I must admit that everything was perfect. A big thank you to the whole team; we will be back.

17/02/2026: A fantastic restaurant in Saumur with a brand new decor that makes you feel right at home. The food is absolutely delicious and everything is homemade.

05/05/2026: Family meal for 14 people, with a quote received in advance. We paid the bill and left the restaurant, but very quickly we questioned the total amount paid, approximately €700. After checking and complaining, we were told there had been an “error” in the quote sent by email, then informed that desserts were not included, even though the waiter had offered to replace desserts with coffee for those who wished. We were also told that at that price, we “weren’t getting a good deal.” This was followed by more than a month of follow-ups to obtain a refund, with repeated excuses to justify the delays (impossibility of making the transfer, waiting for the son, transfer problems, lack of funds, etc.). In the end, we received a partial refund of €200, and we let the children’s menus, which were charged at the adult menu price, go unaddressed. Given the facts and the numerous difficulties encountered in obtaining legal status, everything suggests that the situation was deliberately complicated. It's a shame, because the meal itself was decent. A very negative experience. Caution is strongly advised.

17/04/2026: We were staying at the camper van area just across the road. We had a marvelous dinner, food was very good as was the wine and service. Definitely recommend
