19/09/2026: We chose L'Anexe because the menu on their website looked good. However, the menu in the restaurant was completely different. We were very disappointed with our experience. The salmon was poorly thawed, with a still-cold center. As for the wine, we ordered a sweet white which was served dry. We ordered a second glass, and it was a completely different experience: the taste and color were distinctly different. When we pointed this out, the waiter insisted it was the same wine and the same bottle. After we persisted, he finally explained that the bottle had been open for two days, which would explain the difference. Given these issues and the high price, we do not recommend this restaurant.

10/06/2026: At L'Etoile du Maroc, it's Madame Houria (her first name) who welcomes you, prepares the dishes, serves you, and engages you in conversation if she senses you're alone and need to talk. Her lilting accent is delightful. I've enjoyed her Moroccan cuisine for years. I love her tagines, but I particularly recommend her pastillas, which you should order in advance. An explosion of flavors! I ate a chicken pastilla meant for several people on my own. It was like a delicious cake. Don't refuse the complimentary tea at the end. It's wonderful. I've even stopped just for one cup, along with homemade pastries. The dining room is spacious, perfect for family meals, gatherings with friends, or more intimate dinners for two. As you can tell, I love this place. Houria is like that Moroccan grandmother you wish you'd known.

24/09/2026: We came to try this restaurant and the experience was disappointing considering the prices. Having eaten at around fifty different couscous restaurants, this one is clearly inferior. While the quality of the meat is acceptable for the price, everything else leaves much to be desired. The semolina absorbs the broth in seconds; I had to add five ladles of broth before I could even eat it. The portion size is also questionable: for two royal couscous orders, we each received only one chicken leg cut in half (the upper part for one, the drumstick for the other), whereas at this price, we should have received two whole legs. As for the supposedly generous portion of mechoui couscous, it was the smallest piece of mechoui I've ever eaten, and nothing impressive for 24 euros; I expected much better. On a side note, the toilet lock sticks. Honestly, it's worth trying once; it's nothing to write home about.

04/09/2026: A wonderful discovery, surprising, even unexpected. The decor was simple, but the meal was excellent, featuring quality ingredients and perfectly prepared fine semolina. I also mustn't forget the very warm welcome. Well done and best of luck for the future. The Lille team.

17/05/2026: The perfect hotel if you're looking for a friendly, family atmosphere. The location opposite the train station doesn't detract from the hotel's tranquility at all. The room I stayed in was very clean and the bedding was impeccable. The staff is incredibly attentive and you immediately feel at ease. The breakfast is perfect. This is my second stay here, and I'm planning a third. Thank you!

27/09/2026: 1 overall rating because anything less is impossible!!! We were a group of 8 with a pre-booked reservation and arrived on time. No one greeted us. After waiting for a while, someone didn't ask for the reservation name and directed us to a table that wasn't ours. After insisting, they checked our name and finally showed us to the correct table. The set menus were already reserved, €34.90 x 8. The meal was clearly marked as gluten-free, but no bread was provided to eat with the foie gras! A waiter had to go to the bakery next door during service, but to no avail! The foie gras would have to be eaten without bread!!! Another person found a piece of plastic wrap in their plate under the slice of foie gras… And that's not all! When it came time to pay, the cashier made a mistake with the bill. We were taken back to our table and told that €81 was missing! No preparation whatsoever, despite a pre-booked reservation!!! No welcome at all!!! The meal was very good, and thankfully this disorganized establishment has an extremely pleasant and professional waiter on staff!! Thank you, Tom. As for the rest! The word "disappointment" is an understatement!!!

17/08/2026: Well, I was rather disappointed by the owner's attitude. I simply pointed out that the indoor temperature was difficult for dining, and I asked that fans would be essential during this very hot period. She replied that her husband worked in 10 degrees warmer weather, so basically I had no right to complain! A completely unprofessional and idiotic remark...

04/08/2026: Super friendly hostess, located on a quiet street just outside the busy center of Saumur. Had a delicious meal, three-course menu for €35, fantastic value for money. Highly recommended!

Following our host's recommendation, we found it. We had a very pleasant time; another great find! A place not to be missed.

09/08/2026: Excellent experience and a wonderful discovery. We tried the sushi for the first time and we plan to come back to try the rest of the menu! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food is excellent; we can't wait to return.

08/08/2026: This restaurant is a real standout, and by a long shot: Having always used a sweet sauce for maki and sushi, I used very little of it, which meant the rice was excellent and perfectly seasoned, a rare treat indeed. The ingredients are of very high quality, offering exceptional value for money. The staff is also attentive and helpful.

19/09/2026: Fifth time at this restaurant, and this time with three of us. The dining room is always lovely, truly beautiful. The staff, once again, are fantastic! Kindness, smiles, great advice—don't change a thing! The dishes are perfect! The foie gras with its various spices was impeccable, the beef tataki and ceviche were excellent! The pig's trotter was, once again, a real treat, as was the ballotine! Special mention to the superb trio of crème brûlée 😍 Add to that the very reasonable wine prices, and you have a perfect evening! Thank you again!

18/09/2026: Hello A restaurant a bit off the beaten path, but much more interesting in terms of taste. You can go there without hesitation. The amuse-bouche was perfect, and the cucumber cocktail was amazing. The main course was good, although the fish was slightly overcooked, and for dessert, there were three crème brûlées to my liking. The atmosphere was very intimate; we were the only couple, but the service was perfect, and the waitress was very friendly.

The fouées were delicious and served in unlimited quantities with a wide selection of high-quality accompaniments. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, perfect for sharing a good meal with family or friends. The service was attentive, smiling, and efficient throughout the meal. Everyone loved it!
