13/12/2024: I had taken mom to please her, we had a treat, we had sauerkraut but the chestnut sausage, the cabbage had a taste of old, the hard smoked sausage with a thick skin, we left the cabbage, the breast aside, we took a little fries they were good then a gourmet coffee it was very disappointed even though we had known it for years it changed the waitress without a smile the desserts were made with a secretary lacking staff the hair not tied up which was flying everywhere..mom was in front of her warned another lady who came to see us...I was disappointed for mom too bad we ate there well before

11/12/2024: We came for dinner this Monday, December 9, a table of 4 people, we were delighted with our evening in this restaurant, we come a few times a year to the tavern, and as usual very pleasant staff and a choice varied between the menu and the menu, we enjoyed ourselves, a restaurant to recommend 👍👍

26/07/2024: Cozy place, excited to come and eat here. Looked nice. But the experience was very disappointing. No menu came. I speak to the lady, she says 'I am the menu, what do you want?' and we just have to guess. No prizes or nothing. When she said the same thing about the food (what do you want, fish?) we decided to leave. And a good thing too, because we had to pay €10 for a draft beer and two lemonades. Not much we can do about it of course, as we never received a prize list. Afterwards it seemed clear why they labeled us among themselves as 'tourists'. As a local it is probably nice and cozy, but as a tourist you are really being deceived.

15/12/2024: We enjoyed the daily specials and the foie gras burger. The dishes are well prepared, the ingredients fresh and quality and the portions generous (homemade fries ++++). Gourmet coffee is VERY indulgent.

08/12/2024: Very good time spent last night at this restaurant! Homemade cuisine, very smiling and friendly servers. For a first visit to Saumur, it makes you want to come back! I highly recommend! PS: only small downside, I would have loved a little homemade sauce for the fries instead of sticks, but that's to be choosy! 😊

20/09/2024: Зашли сегодня поужинать после позднего заселения в отель. Все рекомендованные в отеле рестораны либо были заполнены, либо уже закрывались. Случайно зашли сюда. Впечатления смешанные: дизайн ресторана на втором этаже специфический, меню очень маленькое, выбора практически нет. Подача красивая. Обслуживание быстрое. Жена взяла утку, осталась очень довольна: сочная грудка, хороший размер порции, с интересным соусом. Я взял говядину, попросил прожарку medium, в результате мясо в середине было вообще не прожарено, больше похоже было на rare. Мясо сочное, но какое-то безвкусное, не было ощущения, что наслаждаешься им, соус не спасал, в общем мне не понравилось... Десерт с инжиром обычный, вроде вкусно, но ничего особенного. В общем, второй раз сюда вряд ли вернёмся...

23/07/2024: A very well placed coffee shop/patisserie in the centre of Saumur. We had a delicious pastry and coffee. Only thing that needs improving is the service, the lady who was working there the afternoon we visited was rushed off her feet so perhaps it would be a good idea to employ someone to help her

08/09/2024: Nous avons découvert ce restaurant ce midi à Saumur. Un joli lieu avec une décoration vintage. L'accueil est agréable et convivial. Les plats sont proposés sur ardoise. Pas trop de choix mais c'est déjà indiqué dehors, donc quand nous rentrons nous le savons. Un bon point pour le service qui est rapide malgré le monde. L'entrée est bonne mais pas de risque, ce sont des oeufs durs. Arrive le plat, un filet de julienne servi avec du riz, du poireau à la crème et un peu de salade. Après deux bouchées, j'arrête de manger car le poisson avait beaucoup d'arêtes et pas assez cuit, la salade à part la première feuille du dessus, était flétrie et l'assiette baignait dans un bain d'huile. Lorsque le serveur est venu, je lui ai fait part "gentiment" que son assiette n'était pas bonne en lui montrant les différents éléments. Il m'a répondu en me donnant comme explication que le poisson est cuit nacré, donc peu cuit et que l'huile dans l'assiette est une sauce vierge comme indiqué sur l'ardoise. Pour un plat a 16€90, je n'ai pu manger que le poireau et le riz très fade. Voilà, je suis très déçu de mon repas, d'autant plus que lorsque nous avons réglé, le monsieur n'a même pas eu une parole s'excusant que le plat ne m'est pas plu. Celà n'aurait pas changé mon avis mais au moins une compassion. La ou je ne pardonne pas, quand je suis rentré à la maison, j'ai regardé sur internet ce qu'était une sauce vierge que je ne connaissait pas. Il c'est bien fichu de moi. Nous sommes très souvent sur Saumur mais nous n'y retournerons pas et ne recommanderons pas ce restaurant.

01/09/2024: Très bon salon de thé à Saumur. Nous avons bien mangé, salade César et croque très bons. Les desserts sont délicieux. Nous recommandons.

31/08/2024: Every time we visit France to our Mobil Home in Airvault, we then visit La Maison Gaspard in Saumur! We love the food! We love the wonderful hospitality! We love the fun conversations Madam et Monsieur! We will return in April and August/September 2025. Paul et Lyn xx

07/09/2024: Very simple, very relaxed bistro mainly catering to locals. Staff are friendly and helpful - be aware they do not speak English. Food is very simple but relatively tasty

31/08/2024: The person at reception and "service", unpleasant and pedantic, just happy to stay behind the counter... More than 1 hour before being served a dish, not a justification, not an excuse! In total almost 2h30 for a meal. Without looking for express, it was very long. Explanation side... nothing: apparently it's normal... By the way, the gentleman would prefer not to try humor... obviously, it's not his job either despite the name of the taught.

28/08/2024: Finally a real Japanese restaurant! The sushi is delicious and above all made by a real sushi chef. Clearly the best sushi I have eaten. The service is excellent and the owners are very friendly. It is worth the detour to Saumur.

08/08/2024: Very expensive for what it is, not worth it. Very unfriendly welcome Lack of soy sauce Almost no wasabi I strongly advise against it!!!

11/09/2024: This was our favourite place to eat in Saumur. Everything was good. Burgers were exceptional. And pizzas from the wood oven. Staff were very friendly and patient & helpful with English speakers. Highly recommend it.

20/09/2024: Amazing food served by very attentive and polite staff. I had the langustine, followed by the delicious garlic prawns. The sauce was not aggressively garlic, while complementing the prawns perfectly. I enjoyed the creme brulé with a glass of the locally distilled triple sec. My wife enthused about her moules mariniere. Portion sizes were plentiful without being belly busting.

18/09/2024: I highly recommend this seafood restaurant for an unforgettable dining experience. During our regular visits to visit relatives, we have always been delighted by the copious and delicious dishes offered. The staff and the director stand out for their availability, smile and kindness, which contributes to creating a very pleasant atmosphere. I particularly advise you to taste the sea sauerkraut, as well as other dishes that are magnificent both visually and in taste. In addition, the bottles of Saumur from local producers perfectly complement the meal. An address to remember for lovers of seafood and good cuisine.

24/11/2024: Endroit agréable, idéalement situé face au théâtre en plein centre ville, repas très bon et servi rapidement et vin excellent avec une aide précieuse du sommelier.
