16/07/2024: Good little wines, small fish rillettes from the Saumonerie de Granville, always very good, and local oysters and whelks (when there are any left) for fans and of course the view of Chausey. If the selection is good (but it's not cuisine), the service is random depending on whether you are in the style of the house or not. You have to remember that this is more of an address for local hipsters and friends of the bosses, even if you have to admit that the atmosphere is nice, especially on concert evenings, provided you can get served. Most of the time you have to make a reservation, at least that's what we hear especially when it's almost full and groups with a much lower average age than mine are waiting... It is true that the place is small, but a customer remains a customer and since it is not a private club there should not be any selection at the entrance, however that is what we might be tempted to think when we look at how the tables are assigned. No drinks menu (curious), so you have to go to the bar and therefore leave your stuff behind in the summer (meh) at the risk of getting burned out since all the tables are out on the terrace and places are rare. And finally we wait, we wait, we wait... an organization (sic) which is strange to say the least and the big semaphore-like gestures to get re-served are of no help since the waitress is never interested further than the table where it is located. So you have to go back to the bar every time. Except perhaps to be one of the happy few recognized by the house? Ultimately the portions are rather small and the prices almost Parisian, the service without being unpleasant is soulless. Fortunately the setting is exceptional, but on the dike which of course offers the same view, there is also the bar of the restaurant of the Saint-Pair casino, there is also now the station (new for 2024) and of course the entire dike and the beach to improvise an aperitif with friends... It's nice for the music, but I wouldn't wait hours to get a seat there.

27/05/2024: Too expensive for the quantity I had in my glass of spritz, oh so many ice cubes.... I thought the glasses were supposed to contain a certain dose!!!

27/06/2024: La PTITE ESCALE a remplacé QUAI 16. Depuis le 1er Juin 24 le propriétaire de L'ESCALE DE DIELETTE à racheté QUAI 16 à CARENTAN et l'a appelé LA P'TITE ESCALE par référence à son établissement principal. Il est midi, le soleil chauffe fort la petite terrasse sommairement aménagée. Quelques tables de plastique fendues ou bricolées avec des planches en aggloméré. Quelques parasols, mal disposés dispensent une ombre rare. Le menu très simple est affiché. Nous prenons l'entrecôte frite et le gratin de fruits de mer. Les plats arrivent froids alors qu'il n'y a encore que très peu de monde. L'entrecôte est acceptable mais les frites (de la veille ??) sont cramées et froides. De même que l'écrasé de pommes de terre qui accompagne un gratin trop sec. Le serveur est souriant, c'est déjà ça !! On est loin de L'ESCALE DE DIELETTE.

11/09/2024: All you can eat lunch, at a fantastic price. Three of us went for lunch. We had a drink each and took full advantage of the "all you can eat" price. We paid €46.80 at the end - BRILLIANT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

21/08/2024: Repas excellent. Choucroute de la mer parfaite et très goûteuse. Assiette de la mer excellente. Mention spéciale pour le poulpe grillé. Un délice. La vie est sublime. Petit bémol, les boissons sont très chères par rapport aux plats et à leur qualité. Mention spéciale pour l’équipe, jeune, dynamique, professionnelle. Nous avons passé un excellent moment.

16/08/2024: Idéalement situé pour profiter de la mer et des golfs à proximité. Très bien rénové avec une très belle salle de restaurant ouverte sur la mer ( la vue y est incroyable), le personnel est très sympa et très pro, le dîner délicieux avec un coucher de soleil sur la mer( mention spéciale au chef! ) Très bon spot, tout était parfait et on y reviendra assurément

14/09/2024: Cadre et accueil ok. Une aile de raie aux girolles sans girolles ça ne le fait pas. À notre demande le serveur nous informe que les girolles n’ont pas été livrées. 5mns plus tard ,La table voisine , apparemment une habituée reçoit quant à elle du ris de veau avec de superbes girolles. Le serveur nous répond que c’est du ris de veau et s’éclipse pour nous éviter. Ce n’est pas pour autant que l’aile de raie SANS girolle à garder son prix à 21€ Il faut arrêter de prendre les touristes pour des imbéciles et des vaches à lait.

02/09/2024: Les moins : Cher : 21€ les moules frites. Deux noix de coquille saint Jacques qui se battent en duel en entrée, le tout présenté dans une assiette de gros sel. L'impression générale d'être entrés les dents en avant dans un piège à touristes, la faim ne justifie pas toujours de déployer des moyens outranciers. Le service : quatre fois, il a fallu réclamer un cruche d'eau. Tant va la cruche à l'eau qu'à la fin, elle se casse ce que nous avons fini par faire. Les plus : l'emplacement en terrasse, le service efficace (sauf pour les trucs gratuit : cruche d'eau par exemple lol), le serveur son humour et son show.
