And we did well: friendly and very quick welcome on the terrace: our 2 dogs were treated to a nice bowl of fresh water before our aperitif 🤣 the hamburger and the Thai Charolais tartare very good, impeccable service. Good value for money. And what interior decoration: it’s worth the detour alone! Top !

11/03/2024: Just a friendly welcome, nothing more (you pay for the entire stay on arrival. Although this practice is legal, it is nonetheless particularly unpleasant) Breakfast just tables set on small damaged plastic trays and almost no dishes, too early (announced everywhere 9:30 a.m. max, but we insist that we arrive at 9 a.m.) Clean rooms and decent bedding but no bathroom strictly speaking (a bathtub alone in a very small room + a separate toilet equipped with a hand basin, it is not a bathroom. Let us point out that we received the generous sum of 2 pouches of liquid soap for 4 nights for 2 people (do the math, that's 16 showers) not replaced of course, I will be told "just ask for it" sorry but it goes without saying that it is necessary add even two more in the middle of the stay) The hotel is often plunged into darkness, including the reception (and I'm not talking about the evenings or there, it's completely dark) In short, we don't feel welcome there, we have the impression of being a nuisance and paying for it.

04/03/2024: We were there with a group of 18 people from Thursday to Sunday in May. The rooms were small but ok, the beds were comfortable, the sanitary facilities were a bit old, but everything was clean. The hotel is very noisy. Flushing water and conversations from the roommate or, depending on the location of the room, noises from the restaurant late in the evening or early in the morning (chairs moving, guests laughing, etc.). As a group, everything had to be paid for in advance. This was very time-consuming for us and we would have preferred payment per person upon arrival or departure. It was also a shame that we were subsequently charged additional costs (EUR 15.00) for single beds in a triple room (which was not the case), which was not something we ordered and was not noted in advance on the proforma invoice from the hotel. That had a very negative touch for us!!! The food in the attached Marmite restaurant was very tasty and reasonably priced. The service was very quick and professional. It's a shame about the reduced menu for groups. The price/performance ratio for the drinks wasn't right for us. As a motorcycle group, we would have been happy about a welcome beer, as is usual in many restaurants. The innkeeper could have made far more sales from us. The breakfast for EUR 12.00 was very extensive and tasty by French standards. Various types of sausage, cheese, eggs, jams, fruit, yoghurts, breads and pastries. Various juices, water, teas and jams always at the coffee machine. The parking lot appears larger in the pictures than in reality.

Perfect for a short stay in Gérardmer as it’s opposite the lake and a short walk to the town centre where there are lots of bars and restaurants The room was very comfortable and clean and on the top floor so very spacious and nicely decorated I would definitely recommend it and we’ll be back! Thanks a lot :)

31/03/2024: Endless waiting, forgetting to order tasteless dishes. More than 1h30 before being served. Unfriendly staff. A real disaster, what am I saying, a shipwreck. The crowds on Easter Sunday don't explain everything.

29/03/2024: We were visiting the Vosges and we came across this restaurant. Excellent value. The waitress was very friendly. Ps: the falls were magnificent.
