09/04/2026: Set menu for almost 30 euros Steak, salad, fries The steak was very difficult to cut; there was too much fat and sinew. Three-quarters of it remained on the plate. As for the salad, it was very meager—just three sparse leaves. The fries were also insufficient. We told them, and they didn't even offer us more. To appease our hunger, she offered to add cheese for an extra charge. We refused and asked for the bill. As a result, we had a very poor meal. I do not recommend it.

02/03/2026: I was completely ripped off today. The waitress or owner charged me more than expected to give herself a tip, which she immediately put in the tip jar! This is a dubious, dishonest, and unacceptable practice! I will never go back. Stay away!

13/04/2026: Good bakery. It's a shame the queues are so poorly managed. I waited 15 minutes in front of the snack bar without being served, while customers who arrived at the bakery after me were served immediately... I left without buying anything, so I won't be wasting my time in this bakery again, even though I understand that the lunchtime service must be difficult for the cashiers.

30/03/2026: Today I had a small sandwich; indeed, it was very small because there was nothing inside. This bakery is getting worse and worse.

23/10/2025: We spent one night at the Tarnargue Hotel and Restaurant on October 14, 2025. Very disappointing welcome, mediocre and cold meal, and burnt dessert. The only welcoming person was Laurent. We will never return to the Tarnagne restaurant.

04/10/2025: Very disappointed by this establishment, which has remained in its original state: cobwebs, dilapidated bathroom, carpets in the room and stairs. The only good thing: good bedding. Evening meal was really mediocre. Breakfast: cold cuts were brought in spades.... This establishment needs a facelift! Poor value for money

14/03/2026: I bought a Dubai croissant... how can I put it?! Where's the filling?! At €3.90, who are they kidding?! Pistachios are expensive, but this is highway robbery! Seriously?!

28/11/2025: A true gem, this unpretentious bar/restaurant offers delicious home-style cooking at very reasonable prices. The excellent service and relaxed atmosphere make for a truly enjoyable meal! One of the few restaurants in town that serves late, I regularly had lunch there after 1:30 pm when no other restaurant would serve me... I highly recommend this establishment.

19/10/2025: Barely arrived at 1:50 p.m., no one noticed us on the terrace, after a long minute, I told myself that I would go and order inside, barely opened the door, I was reproached that I should have closed it, I entered this cramped room until I reached the dirty and messy counter, where a little old lady said to me in an authoritarian tone "what is it for?" , I told her about my order of 2 coffees and a carafe of water, but I was only allowed 2 glasses of water after complaining that my colleague and I did not have lunch, even though the sign clearly said BRASSERIE, CAFÉ, in short I asked her to pay by card and she gave me a curt no, accusing me of not having read the sign "credit card from 10 euros" which was only a few centimeters thick, to finish in my incredible kindness I offered to take the tray and bring it back to her but there too she was full so you have to know how to question yourself when you run a local business in customer service.

12/03/2026: Avoid at all costs!!!! I'm sharing my experience.... I'm not from Annonay...I don't know the restaurant....I was traveling and looking for a place to have lunch...I saw online that this restaurant opens at 11:00 AM, and it was the same when I was standing in front of the entrance...I went in at 11:45 AM and the owner immediately told me that they wouldn't be serving until noon...I said OK, no problem, I'll work on my laptop, and I sat down where the owner indicated....so far, so good...I saw an outlet, so I took the opportunity to plug in my laptop, and the owner then told me that I could have asked if I could have plugged it in!!! I politely replied that I was literally shocked by her comments because I was about to eat a meal and usually, nobody ever asks my permission to use the electrical outlet...especially since I'm not plugging an airplane engine into it (which I would understand), and the electricity consumption of my PC versus her electric oven, I don't even know if that's noticeable! Anyway...I don't understand, and the owner started getting involved, saying that she accepted me into her restaurant even though service starts at noon...even though it says 11 a.m. on the door and online...she told me that's for deliveries...but so far, I don't have psychic abilities! I got up to leave because there was no way I was going to spend a single cent in that establishment, and the owner started giving me a spiel about something or other. I told her frankly that I was leaving, that I didn't care about her nonsense, and I stormed out of her place, raising my voice considerably. I really regret this kind of person's attitude, so I know that personally, I will never set foot in there again, hoping that they can improve their treatment of their customers. I was lucky, though, to have been able to use the restroom and not be charged for flushing.

30/08/2025: Please note that this hotel has not been managed by the young couple since the start of the 2025 season. Recent negative reviews demonstrate that this new management has not lived up to the quality of welcome you experienced in previous seasons.

29/08/2025: We had booked several rooms for a sports competition. As early as May, we reported an error (an extra room on the reservation). Despite numerous reminders, the hotel received no response, and we were billed for the room. It's very disappointing to see this lack of professionalism and communication, as we haven't received any feedback to date.

08/04/2026: Overall, a mixed experience that fell short of expectations. The service lacked rigor, both in terms of organization and perceived hygiene, which immediately detracted from the experience (the waiter's hands were wet). The wait was particularly long, to the point that I had to go there myself to retrieve my tray, which appeared to have been misplaced. This situation highlights a lack of follow-up and insufficient coordination within the service.

13/04/2026: The setting is very pleasant with free parking for motorcyclists and paid parking for cars. I don't think the parking is managed by the hostel. Unfortunately, the prices at this restaurant are very, very high. A basic hamburger for 23 euros (with hardly anything in it and not much flavor). Not to mention the exorbitant price of the desserts. We didn't even order any. And the price of the children's menu for either a plate of pasta or chicken nuggets 😱 In short, we stopped once and we won't be back. P.S. No prices are listed on the website... And for good reason 🧐

11/04/2026: The food was good but not excellent. The service was adequate but not top-notch. However, it was very expensive, so the value for money is rather poor; a bit of a tourist trap.

21/09/2025: Very disappointing, refusing to let a group of 14 people sit at tables when there's no one else there just to avoid, and I quote, "tearing off my terrace" at the end of September, is not very businesslike. The prices are high; €12 for a pint of Grim is a bit excessive.

21/09/2025: A mediocre welcome. Apparently, moving tables around on a terrace is too complicated and should definitely not be done. "Don't rip off my terrace." It's clear that when you come with friends, you're going to eat scattered here and there! If the restaurant scene makes you bitter, the solution is to stop...
