26/02/2026: Aside from the snack bar atmosphere, it was the best pizza I've had in a long time. Anyone who complained about the dough has no idea what real pizza is. Certainly not Neapolitan, but excellent for a snack bar. Keep it up!

19/02/2026: We ate there twice in one week, but each time there was no sauce, no ketchup, no mayonnaise. We had to ask for our meals and wait. The person was cleaning the doors instead of serving us, and the food arrived lukewarm. Very disappointed.

14/02/2026: Aside from the somewhat dated exterior (walls, stairs, railings, and walkway showing their age), the rooms are very pleasant, though some could use a bit of a refresh. They are, however, comfortable and well-equipped. The bedding is of very good quality; the bed is very large, the mattress is high and thick, as are the blanket and pillows, ensuring a very good night's sleep. There's a large wall-mounted TV facing the bed, a spacious desk equipped with electrical outlets, including an electric kettle with small bags of tea, coffee, sugar, and milk provided for preparing breakfast, an automatic shutter system, and a small wardrobe for storing belongings. The bathroom is modern, with a very large mirror with good lighting, a spacious shower with a bathtub (including a walk-in shower option), a hairdryer, and air conditioning in the summer that provides heating in the winter. The reception staff is responsive to any problems or requests at any time, pleasant and attentive to guests' preferences, and the cleaning staff are friendly and very meticulous in their work. The rooms are always spotless. The garden side is noticeably quieter than the parking lot side, despite the road opposite. The soundproofing is quite good; we weren't bothered by any noise at night or in the morning, provided we had quiet neighbors. The price is a bit high depending on the season (sometimes over €100 per night), and the price fluctuations are the only downside.

20/01/2026: After several nights at the Campanile Petite Forêt, the staff remains consistently kind, pleasant, welcoming, and professional. The chef makes my meals a delight with a wide variety of choices. Highly recommended without hesitation!

27/03/2026: It was a fantastic time at La Croix ou Pile! The steak tartare was absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned; although it was a little more "cooked" than usual (the "searing" the waitress explained apparently took longer than expected), the flavors were definitely there. I absolutely loved the two-chocolate entremet for dessert: you could really taste the natural and authentic cocoa, it was light and not too sweet. A truly wonderful place to return to!

26/03/2026: Beautiful setting in the heart of the forest. Average brasserie. The food is greasy with only one breaded fish option on the menu. The downside is that the menu never changes. It features prawns or pan-fried fish that have more breading than fish. The restaurant has three distinct areas: a cozy veranda overlooking the forest, a wooden alcove with large bay windows, and finally, a fireplace area. All with views of the Marchiennes forest. It's great, but a shame the food quality has declined.

16/03/2026: Professionalism? Not great, to say the least. Orders are placed on a computer. Not a single person checks or tells you, whether it's the computer or them, that what you ordered is missing. You order one toy and one book, you don't even get the book, and if you ask for the game of the month, you get the same deck of cards ten times. Outrageous. They might need to review their management and the quality of their work, especially if it's no longer possible to do so. This isn't the first time, and I won't be going back. Too incompetent. They don't even understand how to specify. Very disappointed.

16/03/2026: I wanted to try the 280 raclette... I didn't find raclette cheese, but a yellowish cheese... and my tray of fries with cheese (I thought it would be cheddar for an extra €1) turned out to be more of the same old yellowish cheese and it wasn't good. I'd rather eat at McDonald's again... And look at the number of fries... in the big box, what a waste to use so much cardboard for so few fries...

21/03/2026: I just went to this place and placed a simple order, but there were two mistakes… Raw vegetables were in a sandwich when I ordered without them, and mayonnaise was charged for but wasn't in the order… Disappointing 🙄🙄

12/03/2026: Paradise! Fry lovers, you'll find everything you could want here. All the classics are there, as well as Frit'House's own special recipes! The beer selection is also very large and inexpensive. Nothing beats a Jupiler to wash down the Giant. It's also great for families because there's a children's play area. Big screens show sporting events. A nice bonus is the Adrien lookalike who works in the kitchen.

12/03/2026: Extremely disappointed with the quality of the chicken kebab. It was dry and overcooked. We didn't eat the kebab or the wrap for fear of food poisoning. I've been coming here for several years without any problems. But I'll never set foot in this place again. I hope the owner sees my review and tells his staff that they serve the kebab meat directly from the spit. 🥴🥴🥴🥴🥴

13/03/2026: We used to go to this chip shop often, but the quality is getting worse every time. The burgers are burnt and the fries have a strange, black, and soggy appearance. I definitely don't recommend it.

03/04/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic experience at Grain de Sel chip shop in Valenciennes! 🤩 We had the American-style chicken steak, generously topped with crudités 🥬🍅🥕 — a real treat, hearty and delicious! 😋 It's so nice to find a traditional chip shop like we love them ❤️ with a bar and a beer tap 🍺 to go with it all! Friendly atmosphere guaranteed 👌 We'll definitely be back! 🔥

13/02/2026: Ordered today, hamburger without meat but with a different bun instead!! The extra vegetables and cheese were missing, yet I paid for them!! Very disappointed and one thing is for sure...never again!
