23/03/2026: I recommend this hotel 100%. Both the food and the hotel services were perfect, and the spa was a real bonus – nothing to complain about. I will definitely return.
20/03/2026: A location offering stunning views of the beautiful Pyrenees Mountains and surrounding park. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with perfectly firm beds! The shower booth and bathtub are also large and have excellent water pressure! The service is great, making for a very pleasant hotel!

01/05/2026: A 30-minute wait is shameful. The management needs to be reviewed; the manager isn't doing their job. I worked at a McDonald's with a good manager where orders were ready in 5 minutes. I'm giving it one star, but I think less.
29/04/2026: Around 6 PM, I stopped at the McDonald's in Benejac. It was really quiet. We ordered four takeout meals.
When I went to pick up my order, one of the meals was missing fries. I went back to ask for them (they added them), but when I got home, I realized that some sauces were missing. (There's definitely a BIG PROBLEM with the sauces at this location; judging by the previous reviews, it's true.)
I didn't want to be a pain, but my children had ordered two "Super Mario Galaxy" meals. I ended up with only one box, and both meals were in the same package with only one free gift, whereas normally, when there are two meals, there are two boxes and two free gifts. (Gifts charged at €1.95 each (so €3.90 for 2, and I only received 1). And again, no sauces (which were supposed to be included with this menu). I think it's a bit of a rip-off, as there was no pressure on them.
I'm only giving it 2 stars because the burgers were good, though.)

06/04/2026: 5:30 PM, I came to get McDonald's. I'm disappointed; I've been waiting at the drive-thru for 35 minutes.
What's with this lazy staff? It's outrageous to make people wait like this! Run away!

06/04/2026: I found it interesting that they serve the fries in plastic cups, which actually keep the fries hot longer. The drinks are served in recyclable plastic cups, as is the ice cream cup.
I thought it was more expensive than in Spain.

07/01/2026: I was surprised; we didn't know where to get something quick and affordable. We decided to try some lettuce sandwiches with ham and cheese, and they were delicious—I wasn't expecting them to be so good. The price was good at €6, and you can eat at the tables outside. The waiter was friendly.

09/11/2025: This bar is a real gem! The staff is incredibly warm and attentive. The servers are remarkably professional and friendly. With its very welcoming atmosphere, you immediately feel at ease. I highly recommend it!

02/03/2026: This small pizza shop is one of the few things you will find open in this area this time of year on a Sunday evening. Pretty much takeaway for us - pretty small inside. The shop focused on pizza - they have several styles from the local basque, traditional and then pizzas from around the world. They have a number of wines, soft drinks, and even a local cider in their cooler.
We were unsure of French pizza BUT - fresh ingredients and a great deal of love make for great pizza, and that's what you find here. The lady running the shop is multilingual, quite the charmer, and she makes a good pizza too! We went with a local basque flavor to try some of that famous ham - good call. Would do again - definitely recommend.

01/02/2026: I'm very disappointed. I bought a King Cake on Thursday, and I specifically asked the saleswoman if it was fresh that day; she assured me it was. But by the evening, the cake was already inedible, completely hard and dry—a disgrace!
I can understand that it might be a day or more old, but then they shouldn't charge full price (€28) and should make that clear to their customers. I won't be back!

The set menu was rushed through, and the menu was just as rushed because there was no printed list or chalkboard indicating the prices…!…Luckily I asked because they were trying to sell me a sirloin steak for €70 per kilo (presumably high quality)…without even telling me, since there was no printed list and therefore no price!…Is that legal?
The owner made up for the waitress's poor service, but that doesn't excuse the lack of information…I'm of a certain age, but this is the first time I've been treated this way…they don't need the "tourists"…their business is made by the "locals"…good for them…
20/03/2026: No menu, no wine list displayed either outside or inside. The same goes for drinks. No clues whatsoever to help you choose. The welcome was more than unpleasant. They simply charge you a set daily menu, end of story. We were surprised by this restaurant concept. The manager, summoned by an irritated waitress, came to our table to explain the infamous menu and the option of a 350g sirloin steak with fries, depending on the cut (at 70 euros per kilo). It was impossible to get less unless you cut it in half with other diners. Perhaps original for many, but disconcerting for others, something we'd never seen before (though we're not from Béarn), even though we live in Pau.
It's a shame because the interior of the tavern is authentic. We had hoped for a welcoming smile and friendly service.

The dishes are prepared with care and are excellent value for money.
I highly recommend it and will definitely be back when I'm in the Basque Country.

06/02/2026: As regulars, we placed yet another order. Apparently, there had been a misunderstanding on the phone because when we arrived, one pizza was missing. No problem, we weren't in a hurry at all, we were happy to help, and we were smiling. However, the pizza maker clearly didn't appreciate this misunderstanding, as he gave us a rather pointed "we're not going to be friends." I don't think this gentleman is a long-time employee because I haven't seen him often. Anyway, I didn't realize we had come to make friends, but it seems that's not going to happen in any case...
