BUT, I ordered extra fries (which were charged), and I don't know where they are!
No bread was delivered with my merguez platter!! Unheard of.
The amount of salad and fries was clearly disappointing for the price. They were even mixed together, resulting in soggy, limp fries.
In short, disappointed!
The merguez sausages were good...
18/04/2026: Absolutely delicious. The best in the area and cheaper than Doy Doy. Parking nearby, close to the stadium. The €11 set menu is incredible.

15/04/2026: More than just a restaurant... La Case de L'île Bourbon is a journey... the dishes are excellent and generous! Beware of the spicy sauces 😅 the punches are potent! Everything is delicious! The coconut tart is to die for! All this in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

02/05/2026: People without reservations were seated before us, the nonchalant waitress placed us right in front of the entrance door, a place that nobody wants to eat in… we decided to leave before ordering after a shameful response from the said waitress who spoke down to us.

25/04/2026: A classic, old-school bar through and through, with its regulars, a mix of young and old from the neighborhood, very decent food, and prices well below the Strasbourg average.
The terrace is magnificent, and the interior is super kitschy, 100% cozy and homey, in a fantastic location on the canal bank, opposite St. Peter's Basilica, and just 20 meters from the tram… I'm not asking you to top it, just match it! 😎

18/04/2026: The self-service kiosk is an interesting idea, but the store isn't spacious enough to handle the customer flow.
Otherwise, the ice cream is still as delicious as ever, but the serving in individual cups seems a bit neglected.

12/12/2025: I tried one of their most famous sandwiches, a round bread roll with carrots and a yellow sauce. It had an oniony taste. Honestly, the taste wasn't to my liking. The gingerbread was very hard and spicy. I didn't like that either. Their pistachio cakes were delicious. I tried those varieties. Still, it's the only place in Strasbourg where you can find gluten-free options, and they have so many sweet and savory choices, you should definitely give it a try, you'll find something you like.

17/04/2026: While traveling with my mom, I was craving Japanese food, so I quickly looked up a place and visited. We ordered udon and chirashi sushi in the cozy space on the second floor, and the hot, savory udon broth was absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly, and I was also impressed that they recognized that I was Korean.
06/04/2026: Japanese food at a fair price, not a flavor explosion, but easily digestible. Definitely recommended.
