08/09/2024: Little visit to buy madeleines in this now well-known place in Strasbourg. During the Christmas market period, we waited outside in the rain for an hour before being able to return. Once inside, we were very well received and an explanation for each madeleine creation was given to us. They are truly works of art, very well decorated and a restocking is done with new madeleines during the day. We took several to taste. The price is quite high, but this is explained by the experience you have once inside the establishment as well as the work accomplished on each madeleine. In my opinion, the madeleines were a little too sweet due to the decorations applied, but that's just a question of taste. I find that it is still worth testing at least once during your visit to Strasbourg, even more so during the Christmas period!

23/09/2024: Food was delicious. The ambience not that much. The tables were taken away from outside at 17:30, even though it was a sunny Sunday. It was a bit too early. The whole restaurant looked like they are closing, even though the kitchen was open for few more hours. The menus were looking quite bad. Staff was helpful and kind. But all of that is nothing in comparison to food quality. It was amazing. Good job!

23/09/2024: Owner recommended it to us randomly at a pub. The food was okay but the service was atrocious. So rude as we didn't know their wines & they wouldn't help us. Then I ordered a vodka & it tasted like fire water. I've never tried anything so bad. Rude French waiters.

20/08/2024: A real place of pleasure for the taste buds! The cuisine is refined and rich in flavors. The owner knows how to welcome and put you at ease. At the end of the meal, we had free treats as well as tea! Everything was perfect! THANKS!!!

31/07/2024: Small, warm restaurant, a concept around the balance of flavors present from start to finish, as much in the plates as in the service and the atmosphere. Quality natural wines (this is not that common), explanations on all the dishes, finesse, taste and a passion for the profession that shines through from the first words. Simply the definition we make of a quality restaurant, a great discovery, we will come back!

06/07/2024: There’s not much I can say that hasn’t already been said in other reviews but this place is very, very good. I sadly didn’t get to go when the kitchen was open for hot food (the menu looked amazing) but the cake I had AND the sandwich AND the coffee I had were delicious and high quality.

22/09/2024: Nach allen Bewertungen glaubten wir, wir könnten hier gut bürgerlich elsässisch essen. Das Thomasien liegt in der Rue des Dentelles, wo es einige Essmöglichkeiten gibt. Die Brasserie ist urig eingerichtet und die Bedienung war ok. Besteck und Gläser hätten sauberer sein können. Das Essen war enttäuschend. Es war zwar von ordentlicher Qualität aber gänzlich fad. Daher war es einfach nicht gut. Die Zwiebelsuppe war fad. Die Zwiebeln fein und nicht geröstet. Die Suppe mehr wässrig als eine Brühe. Der Käse und das Brot lagen extra dabei. Ich kenne dies anders: leckere Brühe, würzig, geröstete Brotscheibe und die gratiniert. Leider fad und enttäuschend. Das Backoeffe war mit Wasser gewürzt denn mit Weisswein. Alles andere ebenfalls ohne sonderliche Würzung. Der Flammkuchen nicht knusprig, sondern weich. Liegt es an den internationalen Gruppen? Kurz nach uns kam eine sehr laute japanische Gruppe. Es war einfach enttäuschend, weshalb wir das Lokal schnell verließen. Schade. Die Vorbewertungen waren besser als die Realität.

I opted for the beef ramen. Pieces of Burgundy-style meat that are way too tough! Normally it flakes but here, I had to leave half of the beef aside! 22/09/2024: I bought karrage curry take out, but they didn't give me curry. How can I eat? A low-end Japanese restaurant of similar quality to Yoshinoya. All dishes can be exchanged for larger portions for an additional 3 euros, which is very cost-effective. There is a sign at the door that says "No Pork Products", but the store also sells ramen, which is strange. The ground is sticky, and my shoes will stick to the ground when I walk. I don’t know how long it has been since the floor was mopped. There are about thirty seats in the store, ten of which are tatami mats. My feet are numb after sitting on them after eating. Seats are always in short supply and need to be reserved two days in advance. If you go directly to the store, it is easy to not get a seat. I have seen their reservation list, and each seat can only accommodate one or two guests throughout the entire noon. The French can actually waste more than an hour in such a low-end fast food restaurant. No wonder French restaurants are expensive and difficult to book. If Asians also eat Shaxian snacks and Yoshinoya like the French, all restaurants in Asia will close down. I went to the store when it first opened at noon today, and all the seats were reserved, so I had to take it away. I bought curry chicken rice, but when I got home, I realized that there was no curry for me. And they don't seem to like adding salt when making fried chicken nuggets. I took out the pickles from the salad and mixed it with rice, so I could barely finish the meal. However, considering its high cost performance, I still give it five stars.
