05/10/2026: We had dinner at Saint-Sépulcre last September. We arrived just as the place was getting busy, but they kindly gave us a table for two by the window. The atmosphere, although a bit noisy, is very pleasant thanks to its decor and warm ambiance. The staff's friendliness was also noteworthy. As for the food, the quality was excellent. We had a pork knuckle that was perfectly cooked. We also had the chicken in Riesling sauce with spaetzle, which was delicious. The ham cooked inside puff pastry (a house specialty) looked very appealing, although we didn't try it. They have a good wine list. For dessert, we had Kougelhopf glacé with Marc de Gewurztraminer, which was very good. A highly recommended spot right in the heart of Strasbourg, just a few meters from the Cathedral.

21/09/2026: Cosy… the best Chinese restaurant in all of Strasbourg! Authentic, traditional, delicious, and above all, very generous cuisine! The owners and servers are lovely and attentive! Go for it without hesitation!

03/10/2026: Great place for a coffee, and the coffee is excellent. A super friendly and welcoming team, and tons of activities, workshops, and a thrift store. I highly recommend it.

25/09/2026: A cozy meeting and coworking space, good coffee, and a pleasant, smiling staff member. They also sell postcards and jewelry from local creatives. I recommend this place if you need to work or study early in the morning.

Celebrating our civil partnership in this iconic Strasbourg establishment, founded in 1840, wasn't simply an opportunity to discover a fine restaurant: it was choosing a venue worthy of a moment that meant so much to us. And the experience far exceeded our expectations. From the very first minutes, everything exuded elegance without ever feeling cold. The setting, the service, the structure and pace of the meal… everything was meticulously planned, yet never overly formal. We truly felt welcomed with a smile and genuine warmth. Sometimes these kinds of establishments can be intimidating for newcomers or young people seeking new experiences, but not here at all; we enjoyed an exceptional and personalized experience. And then there's the cuisine. Let's get serious! This is gastronomy that aims to impress, working with ingredients with remarkable precision. The dishes are refined feats, choreographed, generous in both emotion and quantity. Every detail seems to have its purpose. Special mention goes to the blue lobster, a true highlight of the meal. Its preparation right before our eyes, with the ravioli, the jus, and that finishing touch that transforms the dish into a veritable spectacle at the table, will certainly remain one of the most memorable aspects of our experience. This is exactly what I love about fine dining: when technique fades into the background, giving way to pleasure, and you remember a moment as much as a dish. As one of the restaurant's signature dishes, and rightly so, I am impressed and delighted to have been able to explore the full menu, having chosen the appropriate tasting menu. The wine pairing was sumptuous, but I found the non-alcoholic pairing for my wife a bit repetitive, though thankfully she still enjoyed it very much, and that's ultimately what matters! What I remember most is the restaurant's ability to transform a dinner into a veritable ballet. We came to celebrate something important to us. We left with an even more cherished memory. Thank you to the team at Au Crocodile (or Au Crocodile, I'm not sure which you prefer), for this exceptional experience, for the cuisine, for the service, and for the thoughtful touches that made a young couple so happy. A grand Strasbourg establishment, a truly great restaurant… and now, a place that holds a very special place in our hearts. We'll be back, perhaps even at the chef's table.

26/07/2026: So, I'm going to explain this negative review because it needs to be constructive. We're talking about a gluten-free tea room/pastry shop here, and so far, so good. The products sold are of good quality, I won't dispute that. Now, let's get to the point. It's Saturday, July 25, 2026, around 2:30 PM. I go into this pastry shop (we're regulars, we come every Saturday). I often run into the same saleswoman, a woman in her fifties (not very friendly, I must say). I had a bag of gluten from another bakery, and I "made the mistake," if I can put it that way, of eating my pastry (a cookie, mind you...) in the shop. And then the saleswoman tells me: "Sir! If you're consuming gluten, you'll have to leave." Now, being a baker by trade, I was SURPRISED by such a reaction. Being thrown out like that for no reason. Madam Saleswoman, you should know that gluten doesn't just disappear; you have to ingest it to have an allergic reaction. Anyway, I won't go on about it, but I will NEVER set foot in that place again. It's a shame, the tea crusts were delicious. Remember that sales are the main reason for customer loyalty, especially when you have good products. You've lost a customer, and I won't recommend the place, simply because of the saleswoman's rudeness and bitterness. (My wife was even surprised by how she behaved.)

24/07/2026: I'd move to Strasbourg just for their delicious food and warm welcome! It had been a long time since I'd been able to enjoy a good breakfast due to my dietary restrictions. I recommend everyone go there. Thank you!

We ate in a dining hall adjacent to the original house, which lacked a bit of the original feeling yet it was still very nice and large enough to accommodate our group. Being a large group we had a fixed menu which was great but not fantastic. Would like to come back for a deeper indulgence into their cheese trolley and more typical french dishes.

14/09/2026: We stumbled upon this charming little restaurant by chance, and the many positive reviews convinced us to reserve a table at Tante Liesel. We weren't disappointed. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, like a traditional living room. The service was very friendly, and the other guests' demeanor showed that the owners put their heart and soul into their work. The food was delicious. We started with onion tart, followed by a small portion of Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) and the Eisbein (pork knuckle) with beer sauce and fried potatoes. Since this combination didn't include sauerkraut, we ordered it separately—an absolute must! The white wine was perfectly chilled and tasted wonderful, and the digestif afterward was also excellent. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair. All in all, we highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return on our next visit to Strasbourg.

13/08/2026: A neighborhood restaurant with fresh, homemade cuisine using market-sourced ingredients. The owner is there to serve you, and the welcome is friendly and warm. His wife is in the kitchen. I highly recommend it; the prices are more than reasonable, and there's a terrace available. 🙂

27/07/2026: We had an absolutely exceptional culinary experience (July 19, 2026). Each dish was a true journey, with unique, perfectly balanced, and exquisitely refined flavors. The quality of the ingredients, as well as the expertise and passion of Chef René (who runs the kitchen single-handedly), were immediately apparent. Jessica's welcome was warm, the service attentive, and the ambiance refined, making the experience even more enjoyable. Without hesitation, this is the best restaurant we have discovered to date. Umami is a must-visit, one we wholeheartedly recommend and where we will return with the greatest pleasure. Bravo and thank you to Jessica and René for this magnificent experience.

29/09/2026: This is a reasonably priced and delicious salami specialty shop where you can choose your favorite combination from a variety of flavors and purchase it for €12. I chose blue cheese, basil, and garlic, and each flavor was unique yet perfectly matched with the salami. It was a great accompaniment to both meals and drinks, and very satisfying. The cute pig character is also a must-see!
