14/06/2026: I was excited to try this place, especially since it's one of the very few Tunisian restaurants in the Strasbourg area, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The first issue was the service. We ordered sandwiches and wanted to eat them on-site, but were told that sandwiches are takeaway only. While I can understand having such a policy, the restaurant was completely empty at the time, and the way it was communicated felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive. Things got even more frustrating when it came time to pay. We tried four different credit cards, all of which were declined. Rather than helping us understand what was happening, the staff kept implying that the issue was on our side, which felt unprofessional and quite unpleasant. As for the food, it was only average. The biggest disappointment was the mlewi. As a Tunisian, I can confidently say that the dough was simply not the right dough for a traditional mlewi. If you're looking to discover authentic Tunisian cuisine, especially authentic mlewi, this is probably not the place. What makes this even more disappointing is that this restaurant is one of the only Tunisian options in the area. It has the potential to be a great ambassador for Tunisian food and hospitality, but that potential is undermined by the unfriendly service and lack of customer care. With a warmer attitude and better customer service, it could be something truly special.

01/07/2026: After trying this restaurant three times, I highly recommend it! 🍖 The food is delicious, hearty, and generous (with large portions). The vegetarian dish (currently vegetable curry with coconut milk, previously spätzle with seasonal vegetables, if I remember correctly) is, however, a little bland. 💁 Excellent service with friendly and quick waiters. 📍 Very well located (easy access by public transport, close to highways) and with parking.

11/08/2026: We rounded off a super hot day of sightseeing in Strasbourg with a fantastic dinner at Pierre Bois et Feu. The meat was of exceptional quality, the service super friendly, and the wine top-notch! Highly recommended.

07/08/2026: Hello, The food was excellent, no complaints at all, and the price was unbeatable. However, we were disappointed with the service. No smiles, no greeting, no goodbye. When it came time to pay, they didn't even give us the menu after 30 minutes of waiting, and we had to ask for it ourselves each time; no server ever came to us. Feeling like you're bothering them when you're being polite isn't exactly pleasant.

10/07/2026: This is one of the most memorable and special dining experiences my family has ever had. We inquired about a family reunion dinner, and asked if we could bring a baby with us (fully expecting them to say no). Not only did they accommodate us in a special room to not disturb the other guests, but they created a special little dining experience for the baby. SO above and beyond anything we were expecting. The food was also fantastic and the service amazing. If you had one night in Strasbourg, I'd recommend this spot. Thanks Croc team!

20/06/2026: Family-run restaurant, homemade cuisine (the wife is in the kitchen, the husband is serving). Fresh ingredients. Specials vary depending on the season and availability. Terrace on a particularly quiet one-way street (very little traffic). Popular with many locals, reservations are necessary for a table on the terrace. Excellent value for money. Pizzas and other dishes can be ordered and picked up. 🔝

20/06/2026: The service was great, the waiter was super friendly and had a great sense of humor. We ordered a pizza to share as a starter, which was excellent, and then the homemade pasta dish to share, which was delicious. Thank you!!

26/07/2026: So, I'm going to explain this negative review because it needs to be constructive. We're talking about a gluten-free tea room/pastry shop here, and so far, so good. The products sold are of good quality, I won't dispute that. Now, let's get to the point. It's Saturday, July 25, 2026, around 2:30 PM. I go into this pastry shop (we're regulars, we come every Saturday). I often run into the same saleswoman, a woman in her fifties (not very friendly, I must say). I had a bag of gluten from another bakery, and I "made the mistake," if I can put it that way, of eating my pastry (a cookie, mind you...) in the shop. And then the saleswoman tells me: "Sir! If you're consuming gluten, you'll have to leave." Now, being a baker by trade, I was SURPRISED by such a reaction. Being thrown out like that for no reason. Madam Saleswoman, you should know that gluten doesn't just disappear; you have to ingest it to have an allergic reaction. Anyway, I won't go on about it, but I will NEVER set foot in that place again. It's a shame, the tea crusts were delicious. Remember that sales are the main reason for customer loyalty, especially when you have good products. You've lost a customer, and I won't recommend the place, simply because of the saleswoman's rudeness and bitterness. (My wife was even surprised by how she behaved.)

The entire team was remarkably kind, always smiling, attentive, and caring towards each of our guests. The food was excellent, and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed it. 17/06/2026: I love coming to Vert Ici. It's the kind of place that makes you fall in love with quick lunches again: everything is fresh, delicious, and prepared with care. The homemade fruit juices are a real treat, the salads are varied, generous, and full of flavor. In the summer, I can never resist their refreshing gazpachos, and in the winter, their comforting soups are like a cozy cocoon in a bowl.

10/07/2026: Usually delighted with this place for its tarte flambée, I was dismayed to find a wilted salad, with old leaves, brown edges, and crunchy texture. Worst of all, there was a large insect inside, stuck in the dressing and still moving its legs. Even the waiter acknowledged the dish's "protein content" and took the plate to show the cooks. However, there was no apology when the bill arrived, even though I had barely eaten half the dish. My husband had to pay (I had to leave with our little one in the meantime). In short, we were very disappointed this evening. My mistake was not taking a picture, as I immediately called the waiter over.
