03/05/2026: Chain smoker next to me made life a bit challenging, along with the usual cohort of French smokers (about 6!). Camembert entree was delicious! Steak Tartare was horrible. Tasteless, a bit chewy, roughly chopped, no seasoning I could detect. I tried my best to eat it but gave up halfway. They insisted I pay for it despite telling the waiter it was dreadful. Not one but three very large garbage and other trucks squeezed past us during dinner service. What the??

05/04/2026: Well located near Aix-en-Provence. Friendly welcome from the staff who handled a bedding issue well. However, it was noisy; the hotel was almost empty and we could hear everything else.

16/03/2026: I ate an Indian taco. It was really bad! It had absolutely no flavor; I couldn't even identify the ingredients. There was as much sauce as there were ingredients, so I think they had a problem with the proportions. I don't think reheating a taco in the microwave is the best way to cook it for customer satisfaction. The price on the menu wasn't the price I paid... In short, I definitely don't recommend it. The staff, however, were friendly.

28/04/2026: No ingredients, good chef and server, poor management. The food was served hot and with good presentation. The taste was good and the portion sizes were average. However, it seemed as if the restaurant was closing down. They didn't have a shrimp dish or pork rib dish because they didn't have the ingredients. When we'd ordered the seafood fried rice, it only had one small shrimp in it. The waiter explained that they ran out of ingredients. Also, there was only one other party besides us in the restaurant while we were there. What little dishes that we got were good. The fish soup, dumplings, and stir fried vegetables were good. So the chef is a good cook, and the waiter was very good. Just that we left the restaurant still hungry. -- Tourist from the U.S.A.

26/04/2026: I really enjoy visiting this restaurant. The atmosphere is great for bringing friends and enjoying a lovely evening. Food is great. That said, I think this place is expensive if you don’t book by ‘the fork’.

05/05/2026: I do not recommend the Sunday brunch, as I suffered from food poisoning afterward. There were three of us, and the two who ate the fish and meat dishes became ill the next day. Given the price, it's supposed to be a quality brunch, but some of the food is clearly not fresh, which is dangerous for the customer!

04/05/2026: The brunch price has increased significantly, without any justification, as the choice of dishes hasn't changed, the hot dishes are limited, the hot food service system is inadequate, and the cold buffet doesn't justify such a high price. €60 per person – we expect better quality! A shame.

15/05/2026: Public restrooms being scarce in Aix and suffering from a medical condition, I asked to use the restroom without ordering anything, but by paying 50 cents, which is perfectly acceptable elsewhere without any problem in other establishments. The waiter refused and informed me that the minimum purchase was €2 and that I had to either buy a coffee or pay for a small bottle of water to go for that price! Having no other choice, I had to pay the €2 and leave with an overpriced bottle of water that I didn't need. It's inconceivable that such pettiness and lack of consideration don't sometimes appear in bar or restaurant service. See for yourself... or not!

18/05/2026: A great place to have a good time without any fuss. The concept is straightforward, and the dishes are well-prepared and satisfying. Special mention goes to the staff: the service is quick, friendly, and professional, which is especially appreciated in such a central location.

17/05/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ A very enjoyable time spent at La Rotonde. The setting is truly pleasant, with a lovely atmosphere and an ideal location in the city center. The service is generally efficient and well-organized, the dishes arrive promptly, and the quality is excellent. A minor drawback, however, was the welcome; a lack of smiles and warmth from the staff contrasted somewhat with the rest of the experience. But this didn't spoil the meal, which remained very good and enjoyable. A good address in Aix-en-Provence, especially for enjoying the ambiance and solid service.

06/05/2026: Great atmosphere and excellent carrot cake

03/05/2026: Sunday, 2 PM. Impossible to get a seat because there are 30 students sitting with their laptops, taking up a table for four even though they're alone, and claiming someone else is with them when there's no one there. It's like a university library, not a café. Find a rotation system or ban laptops altogether; it's going to kill your business!

25/03/2026: Okay, so the setting is quite nice, but I ordered the "Enchanted Flute" salad because it said it had mint and cilantro. And I got neither mint nor cilantro. I thought maybe it was at the bottom, but no. Oh, and there were plenty of spinach leaves! The salad also listed "snow peas" in the ingredients, but I got two. The plate was certainly nicely presented, but the whole thing wasn't worth the price. I waited until someone came to ask if everything was alright to point out the discrepancy between what was written and what was actually there. Luckily, I politely asked for a free coffee, and they agreed, because I didn't receive any apology other than a promise that they would inform the kitchen about the problem. I doubt they ever did. If there's a problem with the ingredients, which can happen, the least they can do is inform the customers. I think we're paying more for the setting than the quality.

13/03/2026: Beware of dishonest waiters who charge you over €5 for carafes of syrup, claiming it's Vittel syrup even though the Vittel wasn't consumed… Absolutely avoid this place. They have no sense of customer service, the prices are exorbitant for mediocre quality, and the service is appalling.
